Why actually does the game keep freezing all the time?

I'm not after the specific reasons. But is it generally because the game is pushing the limits of the hardware that it runs off?

Could be a number of things, your PS3, the disc, update files, or your/other players internet connection's conflicting.

 

I used to get this happening in free-roam when battling other players and especially if explosions were going off.

 

Since the High Life patch, the freezing has stopped - but now I get disconnected more often.

 

It could be something to do with dropped packets or some other network issue.

 

It is a shame the error screen is not more specific when it says:

 

'Disconnected due to an unknown network error'!

 

My advice would be to first off clean you cache (hold L1 and R1 when the game is loading).

 

If that doesn't work, delete the updates and reinstall them.

 

If that still doesnt' work, made a back up of your save file/s on a USB stick and delete/reinstall the game.

freezing has stopped for me since the last two patches.

 

try a clean install like sugested.

 

and reset your modem/connection

mine hasnt froze since 1.13 but now its just slow and laggy, lol
