A Question for Legit Players Who Grind

Been playing since GTA online launched and when I took a three month break from GTA online around November and came back. I was rank 232 with about 30 mill in jobs made. I hadn't even grinded RR yet and did a variety of high rank jobs then do freeroam to toss things up .

Are you saying that you ranked up to level 232 in a month or month and a half ? I find that hard to believe, especially with the problems that existed at launch. I knkw there were some great missions to exploit at launch, I assume that's how you did it. Edited by MilezDawg

I grind as grinding is a legitimate form of gameplay. Its just about being efficient with your play.

Main person I grind and NOT glitch: Because having all the money and items with zero effort is no fun. The feeling of getting into a car you know you EARNED... players who cheat will never experience that.

Secondary reason: I wouldn't want to worry with each update the possibility of having my character/rank/cash/items reset for cheating, or as is more likely, the possibility of having enough reports to warrant R* checking and banning my account and starting from nothing again.

Noone will ever be impressed with anything you have in a video game, so the only opinion that really matters is your own. And weather you are able to admit it to yourself or not, cheating effectively makes it all worthless and unsatisying. Also self respect comes into play, but i dont expect you to be familiar with the concept. Its the entitlement mentality that Rockstar owes you something, it says everything about you and your parents.

Its always glitchers that want to impress you with their bank amounts or stupid sp>mp crap, its usually crap vehicles to begin with whose only claim to fame is "rarity". Ive earned over 50M without a single glitch, just enjoying the game. The fact you had to tap out and cheat means you not only suck at life, but also video games.

Your un-substantiated claim that R* doesnt do anythig about it goes against their history of banning, CP, and resets.

You are obviously not a tru fan of GTA.

The fact that you will eventually be banned for glitching. I don't want to join the society degrading crowd who glitches.

Rockstar has yet to ban people who are keeping it a low profile. Those who go all the way to glitch something like 200+ million, I understand.
I already know the answer but... source?Where is your source that people got banned? I've seen it for myself, and experienced it for myself that if you keep a low profile, you aren't getting on their radar.

Exactly as i thought, you are just spouting off dumb claims as fact. Its obvious through your typing how immature you are. Try proof reading before posting your made-up drivvle as fact.

Have a little self respect.. oh wait.. you glitch... Lol.

We Are Ninja

glitchers do grind, but they grind glitches instead of missions

I've done both, both are boring, but glitching is so much rewarding with nearly zero effort.

So the most efficient way always wins out

That's why I grind. Things that I put effort into and work hard for are meaningful to me. Knowing that there's a payoff for my time and dedication is rewarding.

Every time I look at my tattoo-covered, bikini-clad character, I'm reminded of all the milestones I had to reach to unlock the majority of those tattos. Everytime I fire up my fully-modded Massacro, I'm reminded of all the races I had to win against abject assholes. Etc.

Dunno why anyone would deprive themselves of those experiences.

What is keeping you from glitching? Like, I don't understand. You have the ability to earn 2 million in only 2 hours. Why do you insist on grinding missions, and earn 2 million in a much longer time period?

The answer is so simple, I'm dumbfounded that you can't figure it out. But I guess people are stupid. We do not want our accounts banned, and money lost. Also, I'm not someone that's so inherently lazy that is always looking for the easy way out by cheating and hacking.

I grind Potshot, $13,500 each time. 10 times doing it, I have $100 grand. Spend it on fixing up and making my cars look and perform good, take them racing. Win some races, get more money, and buy ammo, clothes, etc...

I work hard to make that money, and I don't take it for granted. Each purchase I make requires some thought to it. And when I look at those cars, I know how much work it took to get them that way. Going all over the f*cking map doing Stunt Jumps on my fully modded Sanchez just to get the Lime Green paint to complete the look of my Sultan, or doing an entire session of Potshot just to get the little Jazz Horn to complete the look of my Panto and get a wolf/fox mask.

I keep a checklist of tally marks so I don't get confused. (Click photo for larger view.) Some cars I have to do two rounds because the upgrades cost so much (Panto and Feltzer).

If I had real-life money I'd buy cash cards and save the trouble, but I don't, so this is what I do. I only bought a Shark card for the The Liberator, which was a time-sensitive vehicle. (I missed out on the Roosevelt).

It's a honest question to the legit players who grind missions!

I understand if you just play the game as is. I did too before the hooker glitch, and after the early LSC glitches.

Honestly, if I needed 2 Million, I wouldn't glitch for hours on end, I'd just buy cash cards cause I'm a grown man with a job and don't have to glitch.

I put aside about $100.00 for Cashcards back in October but haven't spent a dollar of it because I've been able to play and earn as I go.

I don't grind missions. There's nothing that I need to buy apart from ammo and the occassional car mod. Everything else I either have or can get my hands on pretty quickly. Whatever money I need I get from playing the game normally.

There have been money exploits since day one. Where are these bans you speak of? Cheaters pool for 2 days is a ban?

It would take approx 10 minutes to glitch $2 million.

What Crock Janley said.

Better safe than sorry.

It would be a crazy day when a company punished their customers...

Like when they did the Christmas money wipe? Don't think it won't happen again.

Also, I couldn't care less if someone decides to glitch/cheat money (RP is a different matter), just so long as they don't use it in a way that negatively impacts the rest of us (spamming bounties/airstrikes/etc). To each their own and what not.

But there is one thing... stop trying to justify it to the rest of us (which in itself is just an attempt to justify it to yourself) with the most skewed nonsensical logic imaginable. If you're going to do something, accept it for what it is and be proud of it.. own it. Stop peddling that BS 'cause I ain't buying it.

Because with the kind of luck that I have with these things, the very first f*cking time I would try to glitch money, Rockstar would come in and say "Nope, not happening, everyone who did this glitch is being reset back to zero, we're sick of this sh*t".

So, I play legit. The only things I really could use more money for are Pegasus vehicles. I'd like to have my own tank and Buzzard at some point. Really would have liked to get a hold of the Liberator, too.

I just like doing missions and helping others out with them. I mean if you get the right people you can make the most fun out of a boring missions, especially with friends

Ah, the straw man argument, putting words in someones mouth then debating your own words lol. The debating tactics of a complete imbecile.

You could add up every gamer you have played with and it would be a completely meaningless percentage of the player base. There have been bans, cheater pools, and resets. Its even laid out on R* support. Are you suggesting that never happened?

Not A Nice Person

I don't glitch I grind for hours on hand, Those silly glitcheswasting time for quick cash...

My respect for the developer's work & my sense of enjoyment: I like to earn things, not have them handed to me.

I don't grind the game neither though. In fact, the whole aspect of being obsessed over money is bemusing...

Didn't you complain about the pricings once

Seems like you suck R*'s cock for no reason

I'm at the point where I just sell gang cars or do RR once solo just so I can stock up on sticky bombs, grenades, RPGs... once I'm fully stocked I destroy PVs and kill anyone I see. It's therapeutic. My balance is usually at or below $50. I stop playing when I run out of sticky bombs, grenades and RPGs.

EDIT: I've made about $20M legit. Leveling without cheating is fun. To each their own. I make $75k/year as a health consultant. Some people play this game as an escape like me. An hour a day keeps me sane.

This.

Xyn.... You never cease to amaze me. :^:

OT: I don't grind usually, I basically change missions and find more "tactical" fun ways to finish them.

But to be fair, I do glitch, but unlike most glitch-ers, I don't do it like a serious maniac. All I did was SP>MP around 18 Franklin Buffalo that I'll never sell unless I need to. Other than that, I play legit.

What I do is, I change missions after 3 or 6 (max) runs, or if the mission is so long that it'll take me a lot of time to finish it..

This is what I mainly do:

First Base Invaders =$18,750 3-5 times max (since its too long), then RR at least 4 times, 7 max, after it Coveted = 18k 3 times (even after the buff, its still f*cking boring), then Defender= $17.250 around 3-6 times, after it Chopper Tail = 17k around 4-6 max, later Potshot = $10,500 around 3/4-6/7 depending on my mood, finishing off with one run of any Survival, mostly Sandy Survival since its the most fun between them all.

You say glitchers act entitled yet you speak so high of yourself, "Oh I'm so big and badass cause I don't suck at life like you, cause I earn my GTA money legit! Oh yeah!" You need to stop taking a video game so seriously, and swallow that GTA pride you anti-glitcher master race fools hold.

There are those childish assumptions you treasure so much, that straw-man-argument style trolling wont work, and it really only impacts those without critical thinking skills. Its also obvious you don't even realize you keep using it. It's in every one of your posts, You are the ultimate self-troll, re-read your posts and see if you can spot them all!

I like how did this thread turned into yet another "glitch/legit fag" warzone.

Glitchers will glitch, no matter what.

Legit players will grind, no matter what.

Why do we need all this crap? No matter how, lets say, I bash Biohazard Abyss, I'll never refrain him/her from glitching, vice versa. I don't see why we need to argue and turn around about it. Sure, I can ask glitchers why do they do this and all, and they can do the same with me (much like the OP), but not to the level of bashing them and calling them no-lifers and etc. In the end, I'm the one who'll look like a crazy maniac. Jus' Sain'.

Just need to say this: I'm fine with all kinds of glitching, as long as it doesn't reflect negative advantages to the players, i.e: RP glitches, extremely money glitches (inb4 Hooker glitch), wall breaches, etc. After all, if you still didn't unlock stuff, what's the point of money if you still hadn't unlocked them?

I've played "legit" during the life of GTAO from day 1. I don't feel the need to glitch now. Everything I have thus far is earned and I take pride on that. I stay above a certain number in bank and it just seems to grow over time. I don't play the same mission over and over but I do enjoy playing various missions with friends who know how to do them correctly. We breeze through them and can easily make 100-300k over the span of an hour or two.

I guess for me it just comes down to the fact that after 10 or so months I have yet to glitch and don't want to change that. Add in I have no need to do it, I can make enough money just playing the way I want to play

EDIT: I'm also not a self entitled little b**** that needs 20 super cars in my garage or all the Pegasus vehicles. I also take pride in my k/d and the fact that I have ZERO player kills from a tank
