Anyone else bought a xbox1/ps4 for gta 5?

I will build a pc just for gta v mods, I'll only get a ps4 if Destiny turns out to be good.

 

I have a question though, on pc will it be possible to play online with others without using gta online? I'd like to enable certain mods when playing with friends.

Already bought an X1 for its multimedia and streaming capabilities. Anyone buying the next gen for online gaming only will be very, very disappointed.

 

Your current gen console has not been limiting you as much as internet connections and server technology.

I already bought Ps4 for some games and since there going to be gta v on ps4, Xb1 and PC!!!!! i going to buy gta v on ps4 and pc (well until i upgrade my pc).

I had already planned on buying a PS4 long before R* even announced their plans for GTAV on new consoles and besides we all knew it was going to happen eventually i ended up getting my PS4 for free at a charity event raffle drawing so my investment will be the exact cost of the game.

 

But i am sure there are people who are going to buy a new console because of despite how R* made it sound in their press release that they believe with the new console version that there are going to be new items that are specifically for the new console versions but in reality they won't be releasing anything console specific unless it's a Paid DLC otherwise that would be completely unfair to the PS3/360 users if they release special items to the new console version players and not the PS3/360 version players too

They don't care if its unfair, ps3 and xbox can't handle it, will not run correctly. New platforms will have many things that ps3 and xbox 360 don't get, like heists for example.

^^^lol at this. You think some global giant cares about 'whats fair' lol. "Oh Im sorry developer, directors and the like we cant make any advancements in our product because -insert name here- thinks it would be unfair" hahahaha really? You actually think that, just think about the butterfly effect this approach would have on technolgical advancement. Fairness has nothing to do with it. As I work for a globe giant trust me, fairness isnt ever a thought in an organisational portfolio for advancement in business.

I'm getting a XBOX 1 for "The Crew" and both Forza titles (and maybe destiny, but the new borderlands may take my place for that instead...), not so I can spend £50 on a game I already own.

I built a gaming PC two years ago in anticipation of GTAV being released on the PC. I was disappointed when it didn't. Fortunately, we have had a very unusual few years where computer tech isn't immediately outdated and useless so my i7-3770K @ 4.3GHz, OCed HD7970, 32GB RAM, and dual SSDs with RAIDed single platter 1TB drives for backup should run this just fine. Since the tech is a little older and cheaper now, maybe I should pick up another HD7970 and a 120Hz or 4K monitor.

 

So, no, I won't be buying a PS4/X1 for GTAV, but I might sink some cash into upgrades. Time vs entertainment, this game has become pretty cheap per hour. Certainly more economical than buying movies let alone going to the theater!

I'll get a PS4 when GTA V comes out for it. Until then, I don't see anything interesting on current gen, that is worth $399 + $59 game.

I'm a big Halo fan, so I need the Master Chief Collection. Also, Halo 5 down the road.

 

GTA V is a great bonus. This move to next gen is great, as Rockstar can finally take advantage of new hardware. Maybe some online issues will be ironed out too. It'll be good to have a familiar game on a new console.

 

I'll probably wind up getting Metro Redux. Metro 2033 had some awful gameplay design but a very interesting story. They said in this version, they're redesigning gameplay for the first, so that's good. Last Light's on there too, so I'll finally get a chance to play that.

 

It's a shame I won't get to play No Man's Sky, but, oh well. I don't want to move to Playstation. I just prefer Xbox because of the games. They're both practically the same console anyway.

I bought one not just for GTA, but quite a few games that are going to be comming out. But anyone who decides to buy one you might right into an HDMI connection issue, don't worry it's not your TV or the PS4 dying, make sure your deep color output setting is turned off on the PS4. I have a Samsung 8000 series that's not even a year old and ran into this issue, but when I switched the deep color output setting to off, everything ran smoothly. Even on the PS3, that setting never worked for me, I'm pretty sure it's a setting either meant for Sony TV's or actual plasma screens. But be aware, there's a good chance you'll run into this issue.

you are very much incorrect on both counts. the ps3 is far to old and slow to run this game, thats why so much stuff has been cut and left out, in order to compensate so that it runs half ass playable. There will be much content added to ps4, xbox 1 and PC versions that simply cannot be added to xbox or ps3 version due to the hardware limitations. I bet you heists never come to ps3, they will release them on newer consoles only as well as much larger and better DLC packs, guaranteed.
