I'm agnostic. I'm about as close to an atheist as you can get without being one. But what I hate most are pricks who constantly shove their atheism down people's throat. I especially hate when they say something like "praying to imaginary being" or something of the sort in response to someone who obviously believes in religion.

 

You're not better or smarter because you don't believe in god. Stfu. For the atheists who don't behave like this, respect.

Yeah, I agree with you. Yesterday an atheist went fully retard on a few christians in a whatsapp group, calling them stupid and stuff for believing in an imaginary thing. I'm not religious but I still think that people should respect others and their religion.

I'm not a coat person at all, 5 mins later I get hot. Especially when I'm looking around packed out stores around the festive holidays, hate carrying my coat with a ton of bags. Annoying.

I understand it's what they have to do, but I've always found it annoying when a big corporation makes announcements especially in response to an issue and they sound like they're so full of sh*t or like a bunch of robots. Like for instance when Travel Channel tried to make it look like Anthony Bourdain was sponsoring Cadillac when he wasn't, so he got pissed and they responded:

 

“We’ve enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Tony and his production team, but his decision to make further remarks on this matter in the public domain is unfortunate."

 

It just screams corporate bullsh*t, like why do they even try?

I'd argue that you could use to two words interchangeably. I suspect the word asocial only cropped up because of the stigma attached to "antisocial".

 

One of the definitions of antisocial is: "Not sociable or wanting the company of others." Which would be what you described as "asocial"...

 

While the definition for asocial is: "Avoiding social interaction; inconsiderate of or hostile to others.". Being inconsiderate can be labeled as antisocial behaviour in some situations. Being hostile to others? Racism is hostile, it's also an antisocial behaviour...

I still can't stand when people use either of those words. I can be social and I like being around people but sometimes I just want to do my own thing. Last year I went to the library and this girl I didn't really feel comfortable being around, very pushy and self centered you kind of "cringed" at the way she talked to her "friends" kept asking me why I was so asocial/antisocial. Basically what I did around lunch time was go to the library to check up on my stuff and then relax and read in peace. Nothing about that makes me an antisocial person. To me an antisocial person is someone who can't even step outside their own home without feeling uncomfortable.

Trying to enquire about the cost of something on a website, they tell you to email them and once you have they reply and tell you to phone them or that you must book a consultation before being given any guideline price.

I can't save up for something and budget appropriately unless I know the general cost of something.

I get that, its annoying when they don't get the hint that I'm busy doing course work and need to concentrate so it just ends up with me telling them and they seem annoyed and just walk off like I'm being nasty towards them which with the random mood swings I can be a little harder on them which wasn't my intention.

That's another pet peeve I can get angry for no reason (atleast I can control myself in public but it gets harder depending on how powerful it is which looks and feels embarrassing)

I'm grateful for cashiers like that, nothing is worse than a cashier who doesn't even look at you or straight up talks to you like you're somehow boring them. Mion is right, we do get told to interact with customers, you get bollocked for not doing it.

 

OT - Waking up late and having to go shopping at the same time the kids get off school, living in a rough area doesn't help. Ugh.

It's why I shop at Central Market. HEB down here probably has some of the nicest workers, probably because they're getting paid well above minimum wage. But they're authentic. Not only do they have conversations with you but it doesn't feel forced at all. Then again who wouldn't want to work there, I would if it were 20 miles from where I live. I mean I'm not the most talkative person but I know how it looks when an employee doesn't want to say sh*t to you and it's not very pleasant, sorry.

sh*t's disgusting. Justice systems are a joke.

 

You can get serious jail time for selling marijuana but if you f*ck someone's life up sexually abusing them you can get off very easily. Even more disgusting.

And what do you propose happens when shortly after you have hung said person they are actually shown to be innocent?
