When your own Mother makes jokes about your weight, despite knowing how horrible you feel about it.

I'm not even overweight, I'm just no longer 6st 7lbs (thankfully), I don't need to be mocked especially by someone who has also been mocked for their weight. I have never in my entire life felt the need to mock someone who isn't stick thin.

However the moment I find myself with a healthy weight, all the jokes from my own Mother start.

 

Best thing is, she gets offended when I tell her it's not funny.

Great start to my day.

 

Tell me about it. Used to weigh 23.6 stone, my mother would crack jokes and somehow I ended up having to be the one apologizing.

People who like to argue with you for no reason. Example: You say something to a friend and person next to you have to chime in and argue about it.

People who like a post and then immediately dislike it two seconds after it. FFS, gimme a f*cking break. If you're gonna unlike it, then don't f*cking like it in the first place. I'm tired of seeing the false notifications whenever I view notification log.

 

If AlienTwo sees this post, I'm pretty sure he's gonna say something very similar regarding his avatar. I often have a bad habit of changing it every now and then. Can't seem to stick with one for the eternity.

Comments made by people who believe everything they were spoon fed by people in power. Comments damning anyone who doesn't wish death upon every sinner. Comments hoping specific groups of people are viciously wiped out.

 

Worst of all? Comments that have no scientific background, no factual evidence and no logic. Just anger, superstition and prejudice. Effin' c*nts some people are.

 

I hoped eventually this kind of backwards outlook on the world would die out, but nope.

Artstation is the most popular site for uploading digital art, mostly for portfolio/connection stuff. There's a plugin for chrome that makes loading a new tab show a random recent piece of artwork, and it's pretty nice for seeing all the kinds of art people make.

Small pet peeves, but really annoying nonetheless:

 

When I use my headphone controls to go back to a song I just finished, I have to be really quick about clicking the play button 3 times or I'm just going to keep restarting the next song on the playlist. This isn't a problem with iPods since there's a 2-3 second window where I can return to the last song, but on Android, it feels like there's a 1 second window to do this, and the headphones I use, the Powerbeats, have some fairly stiff buttons.

 

Also, Apple needs to get their sh*t together with iTunes. They moved a lot of options (convert to MP3, display settings, etc.) all over the menu bar, so it's a bit confusing to find everything when they used to be in the right-click menu.

I hate when I can't tell if I'm just having allergy issues or I'm actually coming down with something. Sometimes my throat will feel a little scratchy and my head will feel stuffy and I'll just be like, "Man, my allergies are bad today", and then I'll wake up the next morning with a fever of 103 or something crazy and be half dead. Other times I'll actually feel like I've GOT to be coming down with something because I feel so crappy and I'll preemptively take some allergy meds and go to bed early, then wake up and be perfectly fine in the morning.

Sometimes I wonder, what makes Muhammed Ali so different to all the rest of the conscientious objectors of Vietnam w/ Other Wars?

 

I'm not claiming he's not a hero, I'm just curious why people glorify Muhammed Ali when not looking back further in History.

 

By the way, I'm not a racist. Islam is a religion and Muhammed Ali objected due to his ancestry and their relationship with the US (because they were slaves).

 

He was a good egg, but why is he celebrated when others are not? What about all the Humanitarians who were imprisoned for not serving? What about all the peeps who knew that the US were fighting unnecessarily?
