Also, another pet peeve of mine is extremists. The expression "the truth is somewhere in the middle" hasn't been any more important than now.

I work in the assembly department so we wear whatever but the "guys upstairs" do casual friday sometimes. it's hilarious to see their outfits. it's like they don't know how to wear a not-suit

I also think your views on the world are based on your personal experience. There will always be young people who have been through enough in their life to be sure of themselves and the world they live in. There will also always be people younger than you who probably understand the world better than some of their elders.

 

Age has never and will never determine the maturity of a person.

 

There is a difference between naive people who think they know everything and aren't willing to be told otherwise, and the people who have dealt with enough sh*t to last them a life time.

 

It's a silly assumption, being 16-20 doesn't automatically mean you don't know sh*t about the real world. Not everyone was brought up living a sheltered lifestyle, being babied and having everything handed to them on a plate.

That's why it blows. Not only is the employer giving workers a sense of discretion that shouldn't have been taken away to begin with....but it's also not even casual. They call this casual...

Honestly I know I didn't want to hear this when I was in that age group, time on earth really does have a thing to do with maturity. It's a development thing. One moment you think this way or do something that way or have a personality trait and the next day it's gone. That comes with age. I'm not saying people can't grow up early but even then it's not like they actually grew up, they skipped ahead in order to survive..

Hypochondriacs.

I was friends with a severe hypochondriac for 10 years. She was a self diagnosing fool who tried to convince everyone she was damaged and broken. I no longer speak to her because of this. She was and is, a vile little cretin.

 

It's insulting, to lie about depression and addiction, especially to people who have had both those problems. It's f*cking pathetic. If you're desperate to be 'damaged', you need to grow the f*ck up and stop mocking real sufferers.

 

Anyway point is, one of my #1 pet peeves is hypochondriacs and people who WANT to suffer with depression because it's 'cool' now.

When my parents argue. Especially on the last day of school before exams, when my dad does nothing but complain and acts like an ungrateful person. They could've done my costume days, or even weeks earlier, not on the last minute! I feel like I'm scared that my dad's gonna have a heart attack, especially since he's nearing 58 years.

When your own Mother makes jokes about your weight, despite knowing how horrible you feel about it.

I'm not even overweight, I'm just no longer 6st 7lbs (thankfully), I don't need to be mocked especially by someone who has also been mocked for their weight. I have never in my entire life felt the need to mock someone who isn't stick thin.

However the moment I find myself with a healthy weight, all the jokes from my own Mother start.

 

Best thing is, she gets offended when I tell her it's not funny.

Great start to my day.

I shouldn't judge anybody for this, as it's based on opinion, and I don't want to give out a false impression.

 

I despise people who say characters in fiction wouldn't work solely based on Race and Gender.

 

Gender really only changes your DNA, how much oestrogen and testosterone you have, your genitalia, and possibly what you look like, and even if there's anything else, it doesn't change how intelligent, how suave, or how much mental strength one has.

 

Race only really changes the pigment of your skin and your culture, nothing more. It may dictate your accent and nationality too.

 

Honestly, why the f*ck is having a female or an African-American, Hispanic or Asian protagonist so bad for those who want to get off believing all fictional protagonists have to be Caucasian Males?
