I've always thought of the term "reverse racism" as a certain group(which is normally white people) getting blamed for being racist for everything even though they're not even being racist. In other words, I believe that reverse racism means pulling the race card despite the fact that nobody was actually being racist. I agree with you though, whether it's a white person being racist to a black person or vice versa(or any other races in those positions) It's racism, no excuses about it.

It's sad because white racists aren't the only racists out there. Instead of blaming "white people," we should be blaming racist people. I know for sure I've witnessed just as much, if not more, racism from minorities. I've been victimized by non-white racism before, at least in terms of verbal comments and slurs.

  1. Rap music. Quite the irony here is that I used to rap and I was damn good, this of course, before I grew up mentally and realized the music as a whole is garbage. Every song is nigga this and nigga that, f*ck this and f*ck that, it's just worthless music and it represents nothing good in society. In fact I don't even consider rappers to be musicians...more like rhythmical poets. Now obviously there is "clean" rap out there but it makes up such a small percentage of the genre that it's easily overshadowed.

Political Correctness. In today's America (don't know about other countries) everyone gets offended by every thing and it's ridiculous. This has given strength to the PC police and I want to throw up when I hear some of this sh*t. For example, referring to a Black-American as an "African-American". Really? If you're not from Africa than you are not an African American. Apparently Liberals find the word "Black" offensive. That's like me running around saying I'm English-American although I've never been to England and probably will never go. It sounds moronic.

Calling females bitches and/or hoes. Learn some f*cking respect.

Celebrity worship. People are more concerned with keeping up with the Kardashians than they are keeping up with real world events, and even things that will affect them.

Tailgaters. There is nothing worse than driving in my car and some asshole pulls up behind me in a truck and his lights are blinding me because he's so close. Also are the people who think they need to ride your ass because you're going the speed limit and they can't stand it.

Speeders. What's the rush?

People who don't use their blinkers.

People who try to be someone they are not.

People who act differently when it's just you and them as opposed to when they get around their friends.

Disrespect of all types.

Too much profanity. I curse, but never around my children and hardly in the presence of a lady.

Women who dress too provocatively. Skin tight jeans, skirts, shirts, etc. are not only inappropriate, they don't leave much to the imagination and I can't respect a female who dresses like that.

Cowards.

Hypocrites.

Liberals.

Sarcasm, especially when it is unwarranted.

Spoiled brats who've had everything given to them and thus have no manners, no respect, and no consideration for anyone.

Parents who don't spank their kids.

Parents who're more of a friend to a child than a parent.

Liars. A man keeps his word because when he's down on his luck, his word is all he has so you need to make sure it's gold.

People who park in handicap spaces when they are not handicap. This goes back to respect.

Obese people who complain about their obesity but yet won't change their lifestyle to benefit themselves. My own sister is this type of person.

sh*t talkers.

Sore losers.

The money athletes make for playing a sport, yet police officers and paramedics out saving lives aren't making anything close to that.

Animal abusers. If I ever see this, it won't be pretty.

Double Standards.

Judgmental people.

Yes, I know but my point was if I was calling myself English American, people would be quick to tell me I'm a White American with English ancestry. Whereas for Black folks, they seem to try to avoid calling them "black" like it's a negative thing.

But as a whole I don't get it too. I thought calling a black person black wasn't offensive. Here in my country you either call the afro-descendants, or use a word that frankly resembles "ni**er" but it isn't derogatory. But here if you call someone black it's racism.

You've got to be pretty narrow-minded not to be able to understand that for some, suicide is the only way out. It's disrespectful of you to belittle people who have done it by dubbing them selfish and weak. It's not that black and white.

I think it depends if someone decides to kill them self because they are having financial issues, it is selfish. If someone has a terminal illness and wants to go out on their own terms it's a little different

My former statement remains. I'm so much in the red and in a black hole, which means I may not ever get out. Every day is a f*cking nightmare and I embrace illness, regardless of severity, because then I don't have to go out and pretend that I'm just like all my friends. Last September I needed surgery, which gave me a week off from school and work, and it was fantastic. I can't afford to live. Words fail me in expressing how much I fear getting up in the morning because I know I'll have to wear the same boxers and socks from yesterday, filled with holes, and once again park illegally.

My friends do not understand that I have much less money than them. They don't understand that I can't afford going to the cinema, and give me sh*t for not doing everything. I can't afford to drive very far, so if I say I can't do things, they assume I'm being an asshole. Everyone thinks I'm an antisocial dick, when in reality I just can't afford to have a nice day.

I'm trying to help you understand that a financial nightmare is worse than many others. If you think it is selfish of someone to end their lives because the system is f*cking them so far up the ass that they can't function, try to put yourself in their situation.

I go into Radio Shack because i needed a Audio Optical Out cord & a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter and the guy comes over and asked what i am looking for and i tell him and he looks me in the eyes and said we don't carry those here, I looked at him and said than what is this in my hand?

Especially at places like "Lowes" or "The Home Depot" and I need a part to fix some kitchen cabinets and the kid that was in the store looks at me like I was Nucking Futs like I made up the parts (screwes and brackets) in my head. It used to be they would hire people that half way knew what was sold at the hardware stores now it's just dumb stoner kids that are perma-fried and just want to pay for their next bag of weed

Old people who get offended by rap. I don't mean get offended by explicit/violent/sexist lyrics. I mean, old people who act like the very concept of rhyming words to a beat is somehow offensive.

They don't like it because they don't understand it. Theres more to it then a catchy hook with a beat with loops, the mainstream stuff is horrible but if they dig deep enough, they could easily find a rapper or two that would make them reconsider, not all rap is violent. Same thing goes for all genres of music.

When you wake up in the middle of a REM cycle.

No matter how much or how well you sleep, you're still going to wake up with your head spinning while your eyes burn and brain is consumed by fire ants. Least that's what it feels like.

But it is selfish because they don't consider others, only themselves. I never said it makes them weak, I know that even lasting as long as they did was strong, but their minds are clouded by the depression and they don't realise that there's always a way out somehow. Suicide is never the only option, it may be harder to find another way out but it's always possible. Even if it requires a miracle there's hope. I'm not trying to belittle people but it bothers me when people just give up when there's still a fighting chance if only they keep trying.

But you are belittling it. You seem to have an awful lot of insight into a situation which is foreign to you.

This is the pet Peeves thread. There has already been a topic where everyone debated this.

If you feel the need to debate it, take it to the Debates and Discussion forums.

I think my biggest pet peeve now a days is when people want sh*t for free. I am trying to run a business and people are pissed that they have to pay for certain things. It seems like it comes especially from a certain ethnicity. Drives me crazy.

Just to jump in here for a sec

But it is selfish because they don't consider others, only themselves. The part in bold is some BS right there

Just because someone commits suicide, doesn't mean they don't know or care that it's going to affect others, but they still (for whatever reason) feel it's the best choice. Who are you to say otherwise? Are you them? Can you jump inside their head, crawl around and know their thought process? No, you can't, and you only made that remark because you're the selfish one. "This person killed themselves and it bothers me, so f*ck them" is what you're pretty much saying.

The whole "it's selfish" argument is hypocritical-- genuinely caring is one thing, but telling suicidal people what amounts to "don't live for yourself, live for me" sounds pretty f*cking selfish, yeah? If someone wants to end their life, and they genuinely believe it's the best/only real choice left, I'm not going to stop them. I won't like it and try to talk them out of it, but for me to say "don't kill yourself because my feelings won't like it" is as self-centered as it is nonsensical.

People that assume that having a Disibillity automatically makes someone stupid. I have a lot of friends that have a Disibillity of some kind and a lot of them have better jobs then people I know with out Disibillitys mainly besace they work harder to get things done.

^Sorry, you reminded me of something.

People who use their disability as an excuse for everything and allow themselves to be held back because of it. It's important to acknowledge your disability, but to go into every situation with "I have a disability, therefore I'm not going to be good at this" is really sad and I hate to see when people do that to themselves. I technically have a learning disability too but I don't ever bring it up.

I extremely agree. I can never wrap my head around the idea of people using their disability as a shield to prevent themselves from challenging life. For example: I know a couple fat people. While I have never told them outright to get up and excercise, conversations leading up to that point end on them saying, "I have a [insert disability] that keeps me from working out."

I have seen people with literally no arms or legs get up and be more active (just google it) than aforementioned individuals. If you have the ability to lift your arms and move yourself without aid of devices, and are not above the age of 50, I'm picking up the phone and calling BS. Go out and excercise. Hell, do 20 pushups between each commercial, or do a mile between each bag of Cheetos you vaccum into your disgusting vortex of a facehole.

I don't know. Fat people just annoy the sh*t out of me (I'm not talking about people with just a gut, I'm talking the whole two chins, body looks like it's melting, chair-strains-under-the-weight kind of people).

Lern too rite u stooped fuk.

OT: The word "kidnapping". Yes, I know the origins of the word, but it just sounds silly. First of all, it doesn't make sense if it is an adult being kidn... abducted (see?). Secondly, even though the "nap" part comes from the old slang "nab" (meaning 'seize'), it just makes me think of someone taking a nap. Therefore, the word "kidnapping" would be more suitable for describing a situation in which a child is sleeping.

The "about me" Window has those three lines in the corner to indicate you can resize it, but when you do it only allows you to drag it down and not across (which most people would want to see larger images they add to their profile).. sup with this?
