When people make plans and someone flakes at the last second, then later says they didn't say anything in advance because they didn't want to cause a problem.

 

Why not just say "hey I can't because (reasons)" so others can know? Do they really think that f*cking up someone's plans at the last possible moment without giving them just a bit of notice isn't going to cause a bigger problem?

To be fair, I would be mad too. Rockstar was stupid enough to put a date on their game months beforehand so everything they're getting now in terms of feedback was deserved and inevitable. I personally couldn't care less, I gave up on V about a month ago.

It's really all a matter of perception. Not saying some people don't just say that stuff for attention as there are people that do but a lot of people genuinely hate one or more things about themselves even if what they hate about themselves isn't actually bad. I can use myself as an example, a lot of girls have called me things like "hot", "cute", etc. yet around 80% of the times I look in a mirror I can't even stand to look at myself and very rarely see myself as anything other than ugly. I talk down to myself and beat myself up a lot. The thing is I never really talk down about myself to other people, I tend to talk down to myself in my thoughts rather than saying any of it out loud.

Exactly! Even if you're slightly self-conscious about some aspect of your appearance, don't mention it to the girl you're chatting up. It'll make her think you're not very confident, and, as we know, girls value confidence... a lot. I mean, a lot of it is making it seem natural.
