It is on cnn tech's website that rock* has struck a deal with sony for an early buy out of the exclusive rights. The website said March 10 2003 the games will hit the stores. Best news all year!!!! It would make more sense if they made all the games worth playing exclusive to PC, and left the sports, racing, fighting, and any other games not worth playing on the console. WTF are you talking about, this thread does pertain to GTA:VC. So hows about either adding your input on whatever subject is in the topic, or not writing at all. Or I'll take the dizzy_gopher approach and "report" you for flaming, just like a true G-dawg-narc. Anywho, luetchyboy, what I meant was; if a product is exclusive to a particular console, that means when it finishes production it will only be available to that particular console until the contract expires between the developer and the company that makes the console. AND Xbox is waaaaaay better than PS2, hell game developers still cant use the PS2's power to the fullest, cause of that damn double processor configuration. Xbox has move power and can handle individual vertex shading, something PS2 can only dream of. i.e. look at splinter cell, PS2 will never achieve lighting as good as that, also take HALO, a launch title, it has to be toned down a bit, just so it'll run on the PC without the PC having to be tricked out with speed/power. Let xbox release it's second generation games and I guarantee it'll catch the PS2. PS2 had a years head start on developing and learning tricks to sqeeze power from the system. Xbox is gaining FAST. It's only a matter of time till the systems are equal in popularity. Hell look at xbox live, it's a hell of alot faster than the PS2 service. Infact, if you have invested in Take two interacive (TTWO) in the stock market, you would know about this even before VC came out. Closing Argument: VC will, as stated in a 10mil contact between R* and Sony, be on PS2 and PC. And, seeing how much money gta's made, no way rockstar is going to go to xbox, especialy if many people bought xbox after gta3, knowing about vice city. Things such as cars, peds etc. vanishing behind you, where R* changed the way the enviroment is stored in the memory of the machine from a radius all around you in GTA3 to just what you can see in front of you in GTA:VC to get more out of an engine that was pushing the bounfries of what the consol was capable of anyway. But at the moment PS2 and PC will be the only things it comes out for due to this deal. Personally its only a game and only a console...
