Wait, what? You can actually drive an Elegy? Who knew?!! I thought "Elegy" was just some foreign slang term meaning "Coupon for one Free Adder."

You don't get screwed for the car, you get screwed on the money you spend modding it.

 

You should get a percentage of the money spent on mods ONLY when you attempt to sell it.

 

Just because the car is free doesn't mean the mods are. And before you say "That's still cheaper than ____." that's not the f*cking point. The point is, if you spend money on car modifications, regardless the base value of the vehicle itself, you should be compensated in the event you decide to sell said vehicle.

 

I don't see how this isn't universally agreed upon.

We are talking about like in GTA III where you could take a random car to the crusher junk yard and you'd get $200

The Elegy is free but the modifications for it aren't so once you've upgraded the Elegy 100% you've invested roughly $300,000 into it but when you decide you don't want it anymore you have to replace it since you can't sell it.

 

I can understand part of the reason because it's free and if they allowed it to be sold people would abuse it and sell it over and over again but i think once you've added modifications onto the car the option to sell it should be allowed since you are investing money into the car.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but If I'm not mistaken wasn't the Ratloader able to be sold after you invested money into it when it was free between the 1.10 -1.13 updates?

 

They should allow you to get at least 30% of your investment back which is roughly $90,000?

 

Do you think you should be allowed to sell the Elegy you've invested a certain amount of mods into the car such as a new engine or something of the sort in order to make it sellable.

I AGREE After we upgrade it it should be able to sell it for a % of the upgrades

 

You could sell the ratloader before it was removed from the game..back when we had to go out and hunt it

 

i dont think you could sell the Ratloader during the free time, I got one the day they put them on the website for my second character to use, i upgraded and could not sell it, but the upgrades were free also.

 

I have tried since they started charging for it still cant sell it

Edit: For the record, it would be cool to be able to scrap a car for parts (there is a scrapyard after all) and receive a discount from LSC or something for doing so.

I think you approx. 50% back on the price of cars and mods so this should just apply to every investment, regardless of the initial vehicle cost.

 

By their logic, the insurance should be free too.

I wanted to like it as a gtr lover but i prefer something a little looser but more predictable. I'm not a good racer so it's probably my skills but i feel far more confident in a carbo. I think they should keep it free but pay back a percent of mods if you sell it. Similar to every other car but without the base price of the car. It'd be fair to all that way.

It's a video game, it isn't real, who cares if you can't sell a free car that you had to spend FAKE/VIRTUAL for to mod fully.

It should be common sense by now that the Elegy can't be sold, since it's not like it's been added recently. If you don't want it, don't invest in it, or even get the car. If you do, and want to get rid of it, then face the consequences because you knew they aren't sell-able.

They should add a 'car destroy' feature where you bring it to a place to get crushed and you never see it again (if you can't sell it).

I'd love to have the feature we had in GTA 3 where we could take it to the junk way and drive it down to the crusher and watch it be crushed for a couple hundred bucks.

 

I'd love to see that be implemented and allows to us steal other players PV and take it to the crusher...

 

Now they can calls MMI and replace it as usual but we would get money this time.

You can do that in Gta V as well, just not online.
