So you've invested $300,000 into your Elegy but you can't recoup any of it..

 

The Elegy is free but the modifications for it aren't so once you've upgraded the Elegy 100% you've invested roughly $300,000 into it but when you decide you don't want it anymore you have to replace it since you can't sell it.

 

I can understand part of the reason because it's free and if they allowed it to be sold people would abuse it and sell it over and over again but i think once you've added modifications onto the car the option to sell it should be allowed since you are investing money into the car.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but If I'm not mistaken wasn't the Ratloader able to be sold after you invested money into it when it was free between the 1.10 -1.13 updates?

 

They should allow you to get at least 30% of your investment back which is roughly $90,000?

 

Do you think you should be allowed to sell the Elegy you've invested a certain amount of mods into the car such as a new engine or something of the sort in order to make it sellable.

Really didn't think i'd have to say this, But this is for those who don't use the Elegy for glitches but use them in the actual game to drive around in or for races.

i figure it's free because it is meant for newer player that can't afford a fast sport/super type of vehicle, along with it being free for starting up your SC.

if it was patched to sell, then maybe something like a set price of say 10-12k maybe. i set the price low so you still get something but chances of being abused would be almost none (unless exploitable glitch is found) since it's about the same as the felon gt and gang vehicle sell prices.

I'd love to have the feature we had in GTA 3 where we could take it to the junk way and drive it down to the crusher and watch it be crushed for a couple hundred bucks.

 

I'd love to see that be implemented and allows to us steal other players PV and take it to the crusher...

 

Now they can calls MMI and replace it as usual but we would get money this time.

if it's destroyed then hows it making money? or you mean losing the cost of a sticky bomb? because i only saw you saying anything about scrap money in your post not his.

I've sold four of them fully modded in my GTA life because in still can't drive it as fast as the othe sports. I still have the fith. To be perfectly honest I'm sure i got money back on all the ones I've sold?. All were probably done many many patche ago?.

you used to be able to sell it, but even still you got less than you put into it, just like every other car, but everyone uses it for the car dupe money glitches so they were attempting to fix that, however it didnt work, lol!

I could care less you can't recoup any investment from this back. Why? R* handed you the single best Sports car in the game on the whole, for free. It's a real shame you can't regain anything back, really is.

Simple fix is to make the Elegy cost something small. (Under $60,000) and then have a small % resale value.

It's not just the Elergy, any car available to buy for free you can't sell. I encountered the same issue when I went to sell my TS Bifta.

heh, yea it is actually one of the best cars, certainly the best sports besides the sultan which is much much slower, rivaling many of the supers even, id rate it under the elegy, zentrorno, adder and cheetah probably.

It should already be able to be sold just with the standard 50% or whatever it is back on selected modifications only as is the usual case...

MW mesas are unsellable too, I replaced my elegy ages ago so that doesn't bother me. Will never get rid of my bifta, it's awesome for off-road races and looks like it should be in mario cart
