kollow
Since the release of GTAO, I've been disappointed at how much various physics settings that are present in the single-player mode are toned down or removed in online. But at the same time, I'm also aware that it is most likely due to hardware limitations. For me, one of the most noticeable changes is the complete removal of performance altering damage to vehicles. In story mode, crashing your car the wrong way could bend a wheel, resulting in serious steering problems and loss in speed. I'd actually worry about wrecking my car during a chase. But while playing online, there is a major loss in realism for me. On the other hand, it would probably be much more frustrating. With how much people crash in online, there would be a lot more phone calls to the mechanic. Being hit by a sandking or another heavy vehicle would leave you virtually immobilized and vulnerable to stickies. Since the next-gen (current-gen) version will be running on more powerful hardware, it is likely that most if not all of the single-player features will be present in online as far a physics goes. That all being said, which do you prefer as far as realistic car damage? Realism or ease of use? LightningLord
LightningLord
Single Player: Damage to vehicles alters performance. Online: No alterations in performance from damage. I hope it stays that way. Single Player is a different experience than Online.
RicoSuave87
Doesn't matter to me when I roll up in that tank and bitches be like "OOOOOH sh*t!!!" and I'm like "YEAAAAAH!!" and they go "NOOOOOO!!!" and I'm all like "BOOOOOOOM!!!!" That's how I feel, anyways.
MuhNamesTyler
Realism The only thing I don't want brought over is flying through your windshield like in SP, sh*t is so annoying Edited July 19, 2014 by MuhNamesTyler RichiesTrucking, RageLSRS, LightningLord and 1 other
Hghdra
Actually, you can do performance altering crashes, you just need to hit really hard.
Crawdaddy Deluxe
If you try very carefully, you can snap off a wheel by just barely touching the side of a car with a tank. Of course 9/10 times it'll just f*cking explode
RicoSuave87
I want to see the Paramedics actually revive people or at least carry them away in stretchers instead of just leaving the body in the middle of the road. kollow, Awesome9822 and MuhNamesTyler
don ovdi' island
don't mind the lack of performance altering damage online (unless you get hit by a f*cking train or the likes of), but i wish the damage looked more realistic. Misanthrope Z
ease of use is ideal for a game like this imo a certain amount of realism just ruins certain games for me
