Call me old school but I like deathmatches that have borders with restrictions/walls that prevent players from going on the other side of Los Santos.

I mean if I really wanted to be a dick I would just get 1 kill then runnnnn away and just win with 1+ kill than the other team lol

But maybe that's just me

And yes,

C. Ones that arn't 100000k rp/min

D. Non-user created Death matches

I agree with borders. Because if you just want to kill people casually and run, do it on free roam.

Deathmatches should be arena based. Within a certain area just like how Watch Dogs does.

I don't like the idea of "borders" per say, let me explain.

Weapon placement generally dictates where the action is intended to take place (R* Created/Verified). For the most part. It encourages you to stay there. Not everyone does and some like to use the perimeters of an area/location/structure to try to get around, which is good thinking.

I'm in agreement with a "proximity" zone, similar to what is already in place for Survivals, but tweaked for the purposes of T/DMs - sphere of playability like what is already mentioned yes. Some maps are quite large yes, so a tool that allows a general "arena" to do battle works for the creator.

Don't you hate when in a Forced + Pickups DM people tend to go away to an Ammu-Nation and buy good weapons, then coming back, and going with his/her better gun killing the ones who dare to cross in their path? I do.

I voted YES on Proposition 43: Deathmatches Borders

I've been in close to 800 DMs and I've never seen that once lol.

Dms should be in a specific area, rather than the whole map, otherwise it just becomes a chase mission

In any other game but GTA I would agree but the fact that you can utilize the gameworld is one of the things that makes GTA's take on DM unique. They tried something like that in tbogt with close quarters maps and to be honest the only thing it did was highlight the weaknesses of that games gunplay. If the game had Max Payne 3 level combat, I would be more for the idea of borders, but right now the combat still isn't there to warrant it.

WTF are you kidding me?

Might as well let you access your apartment during a DM, so you can get a few kills then have your team watch TV with you until the timer runs out.

i can go either way, i really think it depends on the map. however, i feel that the design of sealed maps is extra important, and they need to be a) of appropriate size in relation to the # of players, and b) well sealed.. little areas where someone can sneak through to the 'outside world' or even worse, end up there unintentionally, suck. usually results in 1 person getting the upper hand or having to commit suicide to get back to the playing field. unfortunately, this is the era of those sh!tty 1,000,0000 rp maps and lately i avoid anything that looks cage like.

with that said, i like deathmatches that have an indication of where the border is. something to corral the players that can also offer "behind the scenes" cover/sneaking around room cut with open space. in my experience people usually stay within the intended area. while there is the odd idiot who goes way away from the area in an attempt to wait out the win, i haven't witnessed it very often.

ultimately, i lean more towards the "freemode" deathmatches just because they offer breathing room, and i like to think most people dont abuse the freedom of no borders.
