Throughout GTA Online's lifespan, Rockstar has been steadily adding new vehicles to the game. We've had plenty of new cars, a few new motorcycles, a new truck, a new boat, and a new airplane. But what about a new train?

So far, the only train we have is the yellow and white diesel train, unless you consider Los Santos's light rail tram as a train too. And neither of those are drivable. But perhaps, Rockstar could add a drivable train to GTA Online.

Meet...the City of Truro!

I think this is the perfect train to add to GTA Online, and I'll explain why.

The majority of races I've participated in have been set to a class like super or motorcycles. Why? Because those classes have the fastest vehicles. Thus, it can be inferred that the majority of GTA Online players want to go fast.

Well, the City of Truro was the first steam engine to break 100 mph, back in 1904. Even today, 100 mph is pretty fast; it's fast enough to get pulled over by a cop. So you can imagine how fast 100 mph was during the era of steam railroads. Yes my friends, during its time, the City of Truro was the Adder of trains.

Another plus (for me at least) is that it looks sleek and sexy. I can't help but keep looking at that eye-catching green paint job.

I'm pretty sure a lot of gamers want a drivable train in GTA Online, and the City of Truro can be that drivable train since it can also satisfy those gamers' need for speed.

If the train were to be implemented in the game, it would be a Pegasus vehicle. It would spawn somewhere on the rail line that the freight train travels on.

So, GTA Forums community, what are your thoughts on this idea?

Not enough train tracks in the game. Plus there's a chance you'll crash into another train.

When I read the title I thought you wanted the actual city in England......

Trains are cool though, and a driveable train? Sign me up.

Even the yellow and white diesel train, let us not have we access there unfortunately… I never understood why! There is Trevor in the mission well where one must fly of gold by driving a train but apart from that, we cannot. even on GTA Online, but I find that the idea is well! You have my vote.

No, that's lame. Of all trains, why would you want that, when you could have the lightning-fast, unbeatable, super badass Thomas? I mean look at that menacing face..

He's #1.

Joking, that would be cool.

We need to drive trains, and make them go fast!

It'd be a great way to explore the map without doing much. I'd use it a lot to go to paleto from sandy. Thats one thing I liked in GTA IV, you could hop on a train and go anywhere on the first 2 islands. Of course this would have been much better if they were more accessible and faster - then maybe I'd have used it more.

Also ditch those crappy LS Trams and replace them with proper bullet trains. If this were to happen it would guarantee me using them a lot more.

If we're going to be adding trains, why not New York Central's M-497 Black Beetle? It was a jet powered (as in "hey, want to strap some spare military jets to a rail car?") train which reached 183mph in 1966. Also fits into R* adding the odd/cool stuff, like the 6x6.

Also, because this board is a haven for controversy:

Add the New York Central and Hudson River Railway's Locomotive #999, which reportedly reached 100mph a decade before the City of Truro was built.

That would be good idea but that would go beyond limits consoles current gen, I doubt that Rockstar they can expose more than one train and still another big contents

Just hop aboard on the empty flatbeds of any freight train, then go into cover and you're golden!

P.S.: The travel can quite boring though

Hmm... Make the new trains Pegasus vehicles, spawn them at major grade crossings and such (Near Trevor's Airstrip, behind the Cluckin' Chicken factory...) and prevent the normal/NPC trains from being generated unless there is a person on/in them and make them essentially un-derailable unless they hit another train should cut down on the requirements. Then again, for all I know, R* fired everyone who coded that stuff and now have no idea what is going on...

Would be fun seeing people wonder why, even with the full brake applied, they're still doing 60 and end up a mile away from where they wanted to stop.
