Just change it to another dog model, the husky doesn't work at all to my knowledge...

IDK it must spawn somewhere, I think it might of been used as an AI in one of the ingame movies/tv shows?

Nope, the Husky has no spawning location, but there is a theory that it's meant to spawn in North Yankton......

Anyway, did you try to change Chop the same way you change AI characters?

Anyone been trying to get this to work offline? I've tried starting Franklin and Lamar with Trevor modded and when it reloaded, Lamar (The character I was trying to mod in) was walking out of Trevor. I've also tried editing the coordinates so he spawns high in the sky. He wears a parachute and faceplants the ground without losing any health. I also tried replaying a mission involving Trevor (Mr. Philips) and I got an instant mission failed. I tried to retry but got a infinite loading screen. This is all I've tried so far and it'd be nice if someone would be willing to experiment different ways to get this to work.

Why would you not have online anyway? Just use the online method..

Non wireless Xbox. Router across the house. No point buying Gold anymore since I'm saving for PS4. A bunch of reasons.

This is why i hate the XB360. It doesn't have built in WiFi. You have to pay to play online.

Mine does. The only cables I have plugged in to it are the HDMI cable and Power Supply.

Back on topic, has anyone tried cutscene models? If yes, are they deformed like in IV or look normal? And can they talk?

I posted a CS_Wade a few days ago. It worked fine, but Wade would never look at the camera when taking a selfie, he would just look at the phone, which was invisible in his hand.

Any character that you play as that starts with an "IG" (not sure what it means, but I'm guessing in game??) have their own behaviors, just like Michael, Franklin, and Trevor have. IG characters, for me, work the best, no missing limbs, or anything like that... Anyway, they all have their own walking animations, for example, Lester walks with a limp. They also blurt out cuss words JUST like M, T, and F do in a car, it was quite funny hearing Lester blurt out "SHEEEIT!" every time I hit something. They even have their own unique scream when falling from a building... It was like Rockstar intended for us to play as these characters at one time, why else would they have all this stuff recorded and put together just like any other character? This isn't the weirdest part, however....

I was playing as Amanda, and decided to see what would happen if I picked up a prostitute. During the whole thing, Amanda never said anything until afterwards. I picked the $50 option, and afterwards, Amanda said "Oooh, I don't usually cum!". I know it wasn't the prostitute saying it, because after Amanda said that, the prostitute said "Want anything else, Sugar?" and it was a completely different voice.

Again, they all have their own voices, animations, screaming, stats, and everything else Michael, Trevor, and Franklin has, besides missions and their own clothes. You start off with no weapons whatsoever, and you can go purchase them, but since your stats are low, you can only hold 300 pistol bullets at a time.

Here's a video I made that showcases the power of this feature. A few tweaks and I've got a LSPD:FR mod going complete with a backup system, friendly cops and whatnot

If people are doing all of this stuff on console, I cannot even begin to imagine the power we will be able to unleash with the PC version and the SNT.

The fact that a lot of these models seem to be designed to function as actual player characters is astonishing. Especially the cops. It's like Rockstar anticipated people modding the game which, given the game's history with mods, really isn't much of a surprise at this point :p.

The cops are fleshed out like this because they are (or at least were) going to allow players to play as cops, The Lost or Vagos characters in Online, hence the 3 locked character slots.

I remember reading about this in the beta thread (or so I think). Didn't know the models people are swapping to are the same ones that were used in that long forgotten Online mode.

Are the Vagos/Lost models also fleshed out?

This is actually possible in GTA IV.

Change to a female character and the results are: different walk animations and different speeches.

I'm not using this method, so I don't know with the models you guys are using, but there's something that happens in the creator that is interesting: when you test a Team Deathmatch, the bots are either Lost or Vagos. Your "teammates" will ask for you to cover them, and if you kill an enemy before a teammate gets hit again, they will thank you, as in literally say "thanks". I've play enough of these tests to be sure that it not a random bit of speech. It happens in a certain circumstance and if the player is the one doing it.

Quick little question... when moving the save game from Xbox to USB... do you click "COPY" or "MOVE"? Does it particularly matter? Thanks.

Both would work and It doesn't matter. I copy the save from Xbox to USB.

Yes, it means in game (model prefixes were explained a few pages back)

Characters were the same in IV. The AI model has custom animations and behaviour to make the game more realistic. Since you swap your model with the AI model, it starts to read the model's custom animations instead of the player's one. Remember that by swapping you main character, you're no longer playing as that character. You're playing as an entirely new character (and glitchy) - that's why they have different stats. They're glitchy because they keep M, F or T's safehouses and have full access to them.

When Lester said "SHEEEIT", it was most likely a quote Lester usually says when M, F or T drive a car and crash. About Amanda... well, I don't have an explanation for that. About screaming voices, you know, you can take a helicopter and drop them off a building when hanging out or on mission.

Better to copy save. Swapping characters can be irreversible [citation needed] and if you mess up while swapping characters then the entire save corrupts. Edited by WildBrick142

Lock n' Stock

Wow, this is an amazing mod. It amazes me how so many characters had voice samples and behaviors as if they were meant to be playable. Makes me think more about what this game could have been, I feel this should have been an in-game cheat at best. I remember GTA III and Vice City letting you switch character models.

I have to ask as well, is there a model of Brucie anywhere? From what I know, he was featured in a beta mission that got cut.
