Oftentimes, a song may sound very different from its original form when sped up. There are many forms of nightcore. The top video is a techno nightcore. The bottom video is a rock nightcore. Nightcore is more of a meme/phenomenon than a genre. I often listen to nightcore while I'm playing GTA. What are your thoughts on nightcore? Smh. I always thought the idea of nightcore was to make it so that it sounds like an anime girl is singing. A chipmunked song typically has a much higher pitch than a nightcore song. I was into that a few years ago but then I found out about happy hardcore, which is basically the same thing - helium lyrics and upbeat melody - aside from the fact that it isn't influenced by weaboos.
