JoeBoneless
My ps3 officially died today, r.i.p. I just need to know, if I get a new one and start GTA up, I don't care about single player so much but will I be able to get my online character back? This determines whether I but a new ps3 or not so please help, I appreciate it.
Dr.Rosenthal
Yes, your online character(s) is saved on the Social Club servers, so as long as you use your existing PSN ID your character and all it's purchases and stats will remain. I'm not sure if it's possible to create a new PSN ID and link it to an existing Social Club account, but I hope so. Because when GTA V comes to the PS4 I'm going to want to create a new PSN ID and still keep my GTA Online progress. If anybody can shed some light on this, please do. We Are Ninja
Alright, thanks. That's a relief. I'm still bummed it died though Like someone said, as long as you log in using the same psnID, you'll be good. You'll have to play through the SP prologue again, tho'. I'm in the exact same boat. Launch day unit crapped out. Lost over a hundred game saves and 8 years of gaming... All because I was too cheap to pay for PSN+ and their cloud service, LOL. Arrows to Athens
Just sign in to your account lol. If you ever want progress back then simply download a GTA 5 save file for ps3 and save it on to a USB stick and connect it in to your ps3 then go to your USB and copy it and replace it with your original GTA 5 save file. RagunCajin
Your online progress is saved to your PSN. Log into that same account and you can continue playing as if nothing happened. /thread
