Does JP matter?

What do you get out of having more JPs than somebody else in the lobby?

Nothing, I heard they were meant to be for heists, you'd need a certain amount of JP to do a heist maybe? f*ck knows.

At the moment, JP's are used for playlists to tally up player's points and who wins the playlist in the end. JP's have been rumored to be for heists also, as suggested maybe to start a heist or to that degree, but nothing has really been stated.

Same as above, no explanation from R* to date other than an indicator to others in the lobby of the type of player you are (no JP = PVP player), and that it resets with new sessions.

They are actually Jurassic Points. If you gather 600 JP in a single session, you get to ride a T-Rex around Los Santos for 15 minutes.

Interesting. I know a lot of people are curious as to the cooldown time of heists. If they pay a decent amount of money, there should definitely be some sort of cooldown but now I think about it, it will probably be something like 150JP to start it and once you've completed it your JP goes down to 0 or they'll just retract it. So say you have 200JP and then complete a heist at the cost of 150JP, you'll come back with 50JP. They'll probably have different heists as well. The more JP needed for them, the better payout. That's my theory. I'd say the bank would be the best one to hit but it'll probably be like 400JP. That's if my theory is correct. I hope not though because sometimes I'll finish a job and go back to free roam with 0 job points. Same with losing connection. They should just have some sort of reset every 24 hours so we can build them up throughout the day instead of having to do one long session.

DO NOT tell Shooting about this...

OT: JP also determines who's vote matters more when it comes to voting on a new job..
