Ok guys i hate to burst your bubble Grumpy is not Gay, he has been married to the same women for 25yrs has 1 daughter and 2 grandkids LOL.......I was and am looking for people close to my age to BS about stuff i know about...........like how many horses it takes to pull a loaded wagon up a 30% incline LOL

You wouldn't just ask the street corner drug dealer and local meth cooks to join you in a high scale bank robbery. So why would he want some random choad messing up his missions.

 

If you like open lobbies. Then join them. Tell him their are times you like it. However forcefully dragging him into one was a prick move and he had all right to be upset.

 

OP, I'd bet you are removed from his list and possibly blocked. You was clear how he preferred to play and proceeded to shoot him in the back. Dick move dude.

I have been asking him since day one to fill the race lobbys mission lobbys, my request fell on deaf ears ........he knew i was doing auto invite because i told him so.........if you mean hitting him with a sticky was a dick move.........all i gotta say it was a gta race......were all freinds in the lobby.......one the flag drops its on.........standard racing i do try to race clean as possible....but when it comes to gta style........anything goes

 

Tell your friend to grow a pair and man up or GTAO, erm sorry GTFO

 

Just kidding, obviously he has had some bad/negative experiences in the world of kaos otherwise know as 'Free-Roam'.

 

This is where you are free to roam around and either kill or be killed, or sometimes help other players or be helped by other players.

 

The later scenario is not the usual one though, so it is un-doubtful that your friend has experienced more of the former as opposed to the later.

 

Now, to help with this issue what you could do is (as others have suggested) help him with his PvP fighting, or maybe buy a tank and lend it to him

 

I suspect he does not enjoy DM/LTS type game modes, he sounds more like a co-op player rather than a FPS player (i.e. COD/etc.).

 

Maybe invite him to play a few of the R* created ones and he will learn more about how to combat other players in free-roam, using PvP player battle techniques such as stealth/cover - when to attack/defend oneself, etc.

 

If he really doesn't like playing with 'strangers' (everyone is a stranger until you meet them and talk to them/interact) that is fine.

 

He won't have as much fun playing the game as he could have though, a full lobby can be great fun - if you enjoy that kind of complete chaos that is

 

It seems to be GTA he has the problem with....we play Ghosts and black op2 together and were in public lobbies there

 

I kinda get the ideal in my mind, that on GTA he thinks its real or something,

I have never pushed the issue about joining a free roam lobby ......as sometimes it can be to chaotic

but asked him how did he ever expect to find guys/gals to enjoy the game with........his stock reply is i dont want to get killed.........i told him i had died a hell of a lot ......but always respawned.......

While what you do is (imho) the correct way of doing it, the guy isnt hurting anyone but himself.

 

However, ill accept going off the handle does scream nutjob in bright green letters so perhaps you should sticky bomb his car to show your displeasure

Well i did kinda sticky him in that race after he went off about the missiles.........i asked him if being blown up by a sticky was less painful than being blow up by a missile.........that went over like a box of rocks

 

 

I find hard lessons are the best lessons.

 

My first go online my mate was showing me round in his chopper. I asked him what the other players were like so he showed me........by parachuting out and leaving me to die.

 

I learned after 1 lesson not to ask dumb questions lol

I just want friendly fire off lobbies and hostile lobbies. If I feel like dicking around flying planes with randoms and going on cop killing sprees that would be great. Think of how much more fun the game would be with friendly lobbies.

 

Of course if you feel like being a menace to society you could switch back over to hostile lobbies. Why they didn't implement this off the get go is beyond me. I bet a lot of people quit playing online because of griefers.

To each their own dude. I play with the same 3-5 people almost every day. Always an inv only and we always run contact missions. If not, we're messing around the map just having fun.
