I always thought Metallica came from Oakland. Haha, yeahh, let it fly! I know Megadeth came from Los Angeles also.. but knowing Metallica, they're going to demand a lot of money for R* to use the rights to one of their songs.

 

I know this is a Hip-Hop thread, but having 80's Metallica and Megadeth songs would be awesome. Now that you think about it, I take back what I said earlier... Thrash Metal would be perfect for this game, especially with Trevor's psychotic persona. Something on the level of Vice City V-Rock would be a deal-maker for me.

Yup, 3/4 of the Big 4 came from Cali, haha. And I'm pretty sure it would cost a good chunk but if anyone can afford it, it'd be them. Plus with all the corners they cut on Channel X, I'm assuming they saved quite a bit of money since the only band on that station I even know is Suicidal Tendencies.

 

And yeah that's exactly what I was thinking honestly, haha. Like, that's sh*t Trevor would be cranking any time he was driving and I most likely would too.

 

It'd definitely be on in my garage at all times as opposed to WCTR(Which could use a new segment or two, even if just new installations of already existing shows on the station).

 

Something in between V-Rock and Radio X would be absolutely perfect, I'd definitely have a new favorite station if one were to ever come out like that.

One thing straight, we only have one true hiphop station - west coast classics and this only has a few good songs imo

Im a rap head, know tons of sh*t west coast to east (grew up on mobb deep & N.W.A, so don't test me) but to me nothing is like true old school southern rap (which i also grew up on since I'm from the south)

Yeah sorry, but i don't see any east coast or other rap being put into the game (or any music period since it has already been released) since the game takes place in Cali. Tho there should have been more west coast rap. More Eazy E, yeah I saw somewhere earlier someone wanted 93 till infinity in the game, that would have been tight. What about Rappin 4 Tay? The song 360 degrees with 8 Ball & spice 1 would have been cool to see in this game, but yeah right. R* has seriously lost their taste in music. (Yes yes i know, it has to do with that they don't have unlimited access to the music rights anymore I know)

BTW when are they going to make a GTA in the south? Like houston or new orleans, atlanta or some sh*t. Doesn't have to be a gangster game, but it sure AF would have some good ass rap music in it.

Radio Los Santos needs some Drake like Worst Behavior, def some Kanye My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy/WTT/Cruel Summer on reg rap station, and Yeezus on FlyLo FM, and hopefully Chief Keef and a good Gucci Mane song.

 

EDIT:Someone mentioned the Cool Kids. They DEF need to have a song or two.

WCC needs: Wu-Tang, RZA (some solo work), more Pac, Daz D, Nas, Jay-Z circa RD-era, more NWA, Biggie, Body Count, I'd like to see some Goodie Mob in there, and definitely some Ice-T.

 

RLS needs: Kanye (his earlier work is fantastic), more Kendrick Lamar, maybe an Eminem song, Gucci Mane, Drake, Big K.R.I.T., Pusha T, Big Sean, and Jay Rock.

 

FlyLo needs: more Outkast, a couple more Tyler songs, Earl Sweatshirt, songs from Yeezus, and some more electronic, like Carl Craig, Roni Size, ShyFX, and Chase & Status.

Yeah, WCC is fine how it is although they can (and should) expand on it. But Radio Los Santos is terrible, it's like R* just took cheapest songs the artists allowed them to use and went with it.

 

 

Another thing, I don't see why it has to be just west coast rap. It's not like people exclusively listen to one or the other anymore, although there should be a little bit of a majority of west coast rap just to set the scene I suppose.

Yeah except for pac, i think thats what GTA needs less of. (I think thats what rap needs less of in general)

 

Let me add something if i may, I'm from new orleans. The same place "lil wayne" is from. What you guys like from Lil wayne is probably a joke. How many of you guys know about Da Drought? Tha Block is hot? Lights Out? Songs he was featured on with the original Hotboyz that he could actually rap good on? None, probably. Y'all probably like lil wayne, the 2008+ lil wayne, the sucks and can't rap for sh*t lil wayne, the sold out lil wayne, the drugs really f*cked this dude over lil wayne. I hate when people talk about lil wayne but know nothing but his new "music". I grew up on lil wayne, lil wayne used to be a good rapper. I'm still baffled they didn't add "Regulate". Warren G has that classic West Coast sound, fits the theme for this city just too well.

"New Slaves" would actually fit on FlyLo FM pretty well. Definitely agree on the more Outkast too.

Yeah forgot about the cameos. If they do end up putting just a guest appearance song, I'd like to see "Control" in there. In fact, maybe even some N9ne or Jay Electronica.
