Joining Deathmatches Is nearly pointless...

I'm sure this has been complained about plenty, but i didn't see any posts about it.

Spending forever trying to get into a deathmatch job that actually isn't melee only or RP/GTA$ Farming.

I mean come on, its just ridiculous that i can't find a single match that isn't completely awful. Tell me i am not the only one dealing with this..? >_<

The past 3 deathmatches I joined via the phone were fine, 1 was melee only though.

i made one along the road to martins house with some effed up cars and buses for street cover, but the point was you could hide and sneak around through back yards and porches to get up on people.

 

even threw a tank in the middle to fight over for good measure.

 

it looks and feels like a real urban battle ground with plenty of hiding spots and cover all over the place. and yet every single spot is flankable.

yes.

 

and i should add that the tank really cant go more than like...30 or 40 feet in any given direction. i have the beast caged to prevent spawn camping.

 

all it would really take is like 4 people on 4 different sides hitting it all at once to really kill it. from the math along with the fact that the tank just cant kill all of them fast enough, youre looking at maybe 6 rpgs to kill it in 2 shots from 3 or 4 people.

You should try mine. It's called Rockford Rumble, basically a deathmatch on the rooftop of Rockford Plaza.

I feel you. I remember playing deathmatches that were things like fire fights at Fort Zancudo, having gangster wars, and some other fun ones. Now it's just stupid melee fights on a ridiculously high platform or a stupid melee fight with secret weapons like a minigun. I'm done with deathmatches in this game.

I got spawn killed on a f*cking R* map. It was me vs. 3 people at a farm. I could have just quit but I broke free of the spawn zone and ran away to ls (lol). They tried to chase me but couldn't find me.

I'm pretty new to DM's, but I've been having good luck with the "On Call" feature. so far only 2 bad maps, & 1 session of being in call for 40+ minutes.

3 were those RP sh*t, then I have to go with the 4th one, which is a melee match.

Yea THIS and the fact that this gamemode is very flawed. The spawning in it is atrocious, theres always the tools who have to camp the WHOLE time, and even the weapon pickup locations are unfair at times with forced pickups. Like when everyone has a pistol and theres always the one guy with the assault rifle which pisses me off. And lastly teams tend to be way too unbalanced like having mostly high ranks on one team and low ranks on another which is unfair especially if its turned on to owned+pickups. It just comes off as a piss poor third person shooter.

Deathmatches on this game are pure garbage.

 

I joined a deathmatch last night Vs some garbage crew who were talking sh*t in freemode saying "you got no ground game, only hide in Jet" (Even though I do it all, Smh)

 

The match was in sh*tty autoaim, & all that happens is people hiding on buildings sniping, their team had the superior spawn while we were getting spawned in the open like dumb f*cks. I was with a bunch of randoms on my team anyway, but still was top player & had the highest score of the lobby even though we marginally lost.

 

TDMs & DMs just piss me off in this game, the shooting system is so dogass compared to GTA 4 & I hate how inconsistent it is. Often if I put myself in the situation where I need to straight up shoot it out I might get killed even though I shoot the guy in the face 6 times & Im just left like wtf.

 

People complain about guys taking to the sky in GTA 5, but honestly if the shooting was like GTA 4, we'd still be dominating on ground like it used to be, instead its a case of anyone can kill anyone & it lacks consistency.

 

I have my own deathmatch but its aptly named "You think you're a pilot?", I named it that to try and entice the ego monsters into my lobby so I could sh*t on them, but as soon as they join & see that its vehicle deathmatch they leave, Or they leave as soon as I get the first kill because they know whats going to happen.

 

Usually spend about 30 minutes waiting for people to join my DM.
