I get wanted lvls more from looking at cops and crashing into walls or other cars (REALLY A WANTED LVL FOR TAPPING A WALL?) than I do for stealing a car. I was also just having a nice stroll in the desert when another player comes near by with a wanted lvl and I get plowed over by a cop. BAM, wanted lvl. Also being around a player with a wanted lvl can give u 1. It seems like no matter what I do, I always have a wanted lvl. I would actually prefer to see cops prowling or chasing NPCs like they do in story mode both in and out of vehicles. Crashing within view would trigger a pursuit but on the other hand, we have stealth and we have to work to get it up. It should be more useful than it currently is and that includes evading cops. You can't even have a shoot out with your friends without them getting involved. Yes, if you kill someone you usually get a star. GO FIGURE. It could be so much worse - imagine if cop cars were driving around the city constantly! Misanthrope Z Posted July 18, 2014 Share Posted July 18, 2014 the worst thing is when you die and get a wanted level just for respawning when i play freeroam, my plans do not include a tedious and boring police chase. another bullsh*t thing is when you're near someone else with a wanted level and the retard cops are just sitting in their cars, with them parked in the middle of the road, sideways. no, they're not forming a blockade, they're just scattered all over the road in an enormous clusterf*ck of annoying sirens and obnoxious strobe lights. shouldn't they be chasing the guy with the wanted level, instead of trapping unsuspecting players? cruising around with friends are we? too bad, now you're doing a police chase. and then there are the times where the cops will ram YOUR car and of course, you get a wanted level for that too. sometimes they'll be ramming into your car constantly like morons, pushing your car toward where ever it is they're headed to. you may not have a wanted level at this point, but the second you hit the gas in attempt to get out of the way, they'll tap your car again. boom, you're now in yet another police chase. sometimes i think that sh*t is intentional, it's really irritating. They only spawn when someone with a wanted level is nearby. actually having patrol cops might make things more immersive so theres a possibility of being caught if your seen doing something, but less chance if theres no cops about to witness it... unless an NPC calls the cops to report it (stopping the 1star for killing the only hitchhiker on chiliad) personally i would like to see cops just driving around... theres only a limited number of cops that can spawn in a lobby. so if they were all already spawned in the session and cruised in different areas on patrols, it would actually make it easier to get away with things, cops wouldnt leave jurisdiction so if you commit a crime in blaine county the cops would stop if you enter LS and an APB would need to be put out... kollow 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You just groan, like when the Gunslinger arrives looking for a fight in Westworld. That's one reason I moved to mainly sniping from rooftops. As long as you don't kill a cop you're fine up there. You my friend have pretty much summed up about 85% of the GTA Youtube commentators in one fell swoop. Which is the reason why I stopped watching them altogether, same sh*t, different day with some added "PEACE" at the end. Some are actually beneficial so it's not all bad. As for the Police, I've waged war with those bastards more times then human players. That's how I get my kicks. Sometimes I'll spawn into a Lobby, walk outside and casually dial 911.. Shortly after I'm on Weasel News. They're persistent but extremely dumb, two star wanted levels are a joke if I'm honest and if anyone has trouble escaping then you seriously need to revaluate your skillset lol Its as if the Police just give up on you after a while, try it yourself and you'll see.. Use a bog standard Futo off the street and cause some sh*t to gain two stars, don't pussy out and floor it just sit there and wait for them. Then you make a mockery of the AI and begin weaving in / around / through the police units vehicles, after a while they just think "f*ck it" and turn the opposite way. You literally have to chase them in order to engage. Obviously if you open fire the Feds will step it up a notch but if you're bored and want to feel just a little bit better for giving the Police a dose of their own sh*tty medicine. You don't get wanted stars for slamming into walls. You may have hit a pedestrian or vandalised something, but you didn't get the star for simply hitting the wall. That doesn't happen. I do agree, however, that the system needs to be revamped. Cops should only have a limited supply, so after a short bit of a 5 star shootout, they should start running out of reinforcements, and there should be a limit to how many helicopters they can dispatch. Also, when a crime is committed, it should take longer for them to respond. Them spawning around the corner doesn't help at all. Also, unless they have a visual of where you are / where you're going, they should only spawn near the scene of the crime. It's ridiculous to drive 3 miles away and hide behind a dumpster in an alley to have 4 or 5 cruisers park on the street, get out and have swarms checking out your position 3 or 4 times over. Reducing their aggressiveness at one star should be considered,and police heli ramming players heli should be removed as that is just weird.
