AutoAim takes much more skill than FA

I can't play auto aim 'cause it is beyond boring.

Can you imagine if the original GTA had it? We'd think WTF is this. I can understand it being used in III, VC & SA when we only had a D-pad but it should have been scrapped the moment we had analog sticks. I honestly believe the only reason it's still in the game is because they worry about losing players that are used to it.

Can't blame the players though. R* still leave it as default...

In my personal case I prefer AA, because I play GTA for fun and I find manual aim on a console controller to be painful.

But I respect that FA does take more skill, and I'm sure many FA players would own me in an AA session too.

Lol, this is so true. After coming back from FA, it's pitiful of how terrible shots some of these players can be with the sniper rifles... you'd think they would get some practice from grinding Coveted.

The guy had a serious penchant for starting and otherwise getting into flame wars (or just outright insulting other members). It was only a matter of time really, I suspect.

 

Are the mods taking the day off? Why has this f*cking thread not been locked? Is it being left open just to corral the aim war flaming to a single place? That's the only possible explanation.

It actually does take some skill to dodge though

 

edit: personally, learning how to avoid from getting shot (no, not taking cover) is the first skill and learning how/where to shoot back is the second skill. Anybody can shoot but not everyone knows how to dodge on point.

i have a deadly mix of skills...

 

aimbot + years of freeaim experience.

 

the aimbot make the game a bit more easy, the freeaim experience kick in when battling around with cops, AA automatically make you aim at cops instead of the opponent, many players cant shoot without the aimbot, thats the moment i use the freeaim to kill them while they wonder "how did he do that?"

On topic : If free aim in this game went from the third person to first person perspective, I would probably spend more time it. But all you have in most free aim lobbies are mini-gun spammers, reverse Entity drivers, and sticky bomb spammers. There are quite a few who use the mouse, so I don't buy most of their so called analog stick elitist bs. But the choice is yours, it's just a game regardless.

I've gotten 100% on SP and the glorious platinum ps3 trophy. in my world that makes me more skilled at this game than others.

I rarely post here. Mainly because this forum is filled with god awful trolls and hyper active children who make me want to pull my eyes out. But i do find alot of entertaining topics and useful topics. But i liked voodoo getting into flame wars with people starting flame wars. This forum is like Bizzaro world anyways.

 

I always new a AA topic would take him down sooner or later. But i bet anyone 100 dollars he'll be back on a new account before sundown.

Well, I wouldn't say skill, so much as reflexes. Who ever is the fastest, is the winner. Twitch reflexes are king in AA.
