I bought a tiny reticle decal on ebay and put it on the middle of my screen. Where I look is where I shoot lol. I still can't do the drive bys right because of the awkward camera. It did help for sniping people with the musket though. That things amazing

I understand auto aim has it's own strategies but that is bullsh*t. Ever since RDR free aimers have been getting paid more than auto aimers, I can't think of one game where you get paid more for taking the easier option.

 

I will agree that the skill gap is much smaller in auto aim which in a sense should make it more difficult but there are free aimers that rarely miss a shot and coming across those players is different but just as difficult challenge as anything in auto aim. To put it more simple it's easier to lose by a margin of 10-0 in free aim DM than it is in auto aim where you are pretty much guaranteed at least a kill or two.

 

Auto Aim involves safer more cover dependent play to do well and Free aim allows for more flexibility in finding successful strategies during combat scenarios.

Want to jump in a vehicle and do a drive by? that's an option. Forget the weapons even, want to jump in a car and do a hit and run? that's an option. Want to play with a more open approach running about and picking off multiple enemies if you're good enough like the protagonists can in single player?

 

That's also an option.

 

All the strategies people have mentioned that gives auto aim more depth are also possible in free aim plus much more.

I disagree since it's easier for to me kill AAers, i just go out of lock on range and shoot while they sruggle to hit me wth a sniper or RPG.

If they are close I roll once and shoot their head, instant kill.

 

Also AA and FA are different.

AA is about getting away from the enemy and shoot while FA is about who has the best aim.
