How much more skill does AA take?

  1. 1. Basically with everyone having an aimbot, how much more skill do you have than FA players?

FA people also have great reflexes

you also have to keep trying I see your AA skills are still not working with that assist to prove me wrong

FA better than AA in skill of course

Why is this still a thing?

Who gives a flying f**k what other people play? It is irrelevant.

OP add a 0%. You can't compare offensive vs. defensive, you've got to be a bundle of sticks to do that.

obviously FA takes more skill as far as playing the game goes. a more skilled player in general is going to have his skill shown by a lot more in FA then in auto aim. so someone that goes 10-1 kd ratio in deathmatches in FA might only go 3-1 in auto aim because of the aim bots. doesnt mean because his kd is down that it takes less skill to do better in FA because the same concept applies in reverse a non skilled player might got 1-1 in AA but .25 in FA because it takes more skill.

anyway its pretty obvious FA requires more skill then AA. go do 100 missions in AA and 100 in FA all solo and tell me how many you complete of each....you will complete more in AA then FA guaranteed hence FA is harder and needs more skill.

Auto aim players get wrecked by free aim players either way. I usually play free aim, so whenever I play auto aim I pretty much destroy assault rifle using noobs with my pistol. Because I can actually aim for their head.

I like FA for wandering around in free roam, so I can aim at exactly what I want, like the tires of a passing car, rather than auto locking on the driver. But when a firefight breaks out with lots of enemies spawning everywhere, I'd rather just leave it in AA, since it feels more natural to me, crazy as that sounds. I'm a gun owner in real life and have done plenty of shooting and I often find FA to feel artificial, disjointed, and incohesive. Unless I'm using a sniper rifle, which I enjoy. Using tiny plastic joy sticks and buttons to shoot a gun doesn't really possess much realism to me.

I've gotten pretty good with Auto Aim, especially with the Carbine Rifle. I've mastered the technique to head shots, I can get a shot on somebody before they even know what hit em.

seriously????

more skill, no. a different set of skills as opposed to Free Aim.

For instance in AA you either take cover, or go for the shot faster then the other person. Yes its much more faster and fun.

In FA you go for cover as well but the trick is in the combat jog. Any seasoned FAer will know you never hold L2 to aim down the sights, at least in close combat. It gives it that real feel as when youre in a shootout and you feel and hear the bullets whizz by your head. Also if your caught in the middle of the street you'll have a chance of living if you run for cover as in AA you will be killed fast.

FA just takes more skill

FA people can learn/go back to AA and kill AA players easily

but a AA in FA will die to a FA

ok ay?

I play AA, been in many FA lobbies. I've always killed the person before they've killed me when in a FA lobby. People in FA are pretty bad at aiming.

Same here, I mostly play in AA but I still "free aim"(move my lock away from unwanted target) half the time while in an AA session. I feel safer in FA sessions than AA sessions though. Because, some people need a few secs longer to take aim, whereas in AA..well you already know.

so... is EVERY FA player more "skilled" then all AA players?

if a player has always played FA, & his K/D is 0.25 is he automatically more "skilled" then a player that has always played AA with a K/D of 1?

if you answered "yes" please do not reproduce.

if you answered "no" you're most likely an AA player that doesn't care about this trivial argument.

I just don't see the skill of FA, but Auto aiming, everyone is basically an aimbot, it builds character and it develops real skills.

Skill

noun

: the ability to do something that comes from training, experience, or practice

FA requires more practice, experience, and training, so you can make the case that it requires more skill. But then again, so does driving with your feet or balancing bowling balls on your head.

Of course, simply changing your settings to FA doesn't make you more skilled, you still need to back it up with actual results. But how would you go about measuring that?

Wow, just when you think the community has hit a low point threads like this come and reveal the new lows it can reach. Seeing all of the delusional people in this thread claiming AA is more skill based than free aim is just sad. The level of delusion is so high that there's no logical approach that you can take to show these people how wrong they are. Mods may as well just lock these threads.

Sir Michael

The only thing that takes this so-called "skill" in AA is sniping, especially in the lock-on range of another player... you have to react so fast to avoid getting slaughtered.

No man, you're looking at this the wrong way. People are saying it takes more skill to play FA. That isn't the same thing as saying people in FA have more skill than AA.

I would tend to agree. Most gamers practice free aim in other games, so it's something you got used to. Free aim in GTA is specific to GTA.

I was playing the campaign with free aim and the AI is a lot less accurate. Is that the case in online too?
