Man, this handling line is coooool. Just tested it now and I like it. How many more do u expect to do?

 

IDK, i raged about this one like about 25 times... this one took me +- 3 - 2 hours... Dont worry, i will continue on posting more lines. I would like to make handling for patriot of GTA IV, but birdie havent converted it already. I need him to keep original mass positions, because they are main thing that makes handling work properly.... thanks for nice rating :)

i know you post the handling cfg but why dont you put it on a notpad file just in case or when your finished with all handling lines

Edit: While fixing the bugs found, I did a better job on the Bollokan Prairie. It has custom collision and LODs. No damage though. All IVF functions working except hubs, which I deleted. Link to the prairie:

Awesome checks, man. I didn't know light dummies orientate the direction of light emitted, hence the many errors with light direction. The next car I upload won't have all these bugs. I just converted the Grotti stinger and wanted to upload, but I discovered that bugs with light direction still appear. If you are a car modeler yourself, I will also appreciate pointers on how to fix the bugs. As I said, _F_ is on vacation rights now, and I won't like to wait on him before learning everything. Thanks again for pointing out bugs. :-D

SA can use normalmaps with a plugin (however this breaks the default cars horribly).

Guys, I don't know what is really happening with those light coronas. I thought lights coronas and light shadows were appearing in funny locations because I probably had duplicate dummies for a particular light texture, or that I had mapped the wrong colour to the wrong light texture. As such, I reassigned light textures with the correct colours and double checked, Using the headlights and taillights dummies for each car as a base, I created the other dummies, one at a time, and did the correct rotation. Yet, I still saw coronas appearing in funny places, or one turn indicator having 2 different light shadows at different directions. I even unlinked all the light parts and linked them to their dummies, still have funny results. I will still check to see.

@Alex_00700: Also, what do you mean by normal map texture? Which texture is that? Just send the name and I will check. Thanks.

Oh! Thanks for the tip. I found them in the extracted textures and thought they were necessary. Keep in mind that I just got into car modding and am still ignorant about several things. :blink::blink:

If by making mods, you mean converting cars from other games to GTA San Andreas, _F_ has made a great tutorial which uses 3D Studio Max 2011. It's still incomplete, u can use it to make cars that can spawn ingame and all work correctly, even with damage parts and adapted to IVF. Here are the links to the tutorial videos.

Never heard of blender. But if you can't get 3ds max, I guess u could get Gmax, a lighter but very similar program. The tutorials will be the same on Gmax.

Gee, thanks. That's the second car I tried to convert after the fortune. Has a lot of bugs, but I've gotten the hang of converting cars. Had serious problems applying lights, but I think I've got my thumb on the whole concept now. Here are three new samples. All lights working perfectly (Though the fortune doesn't have LODs yet. I will add later. Neither model has damage parts and tuning yet).
