Don't know if anybody has pointed this out, Feltzer can sometimes spawn with a roof and this happens :lol::

That should be fixed by correctly installing handling.dat and vehicles.ide lines

I went and installed it again on a fresh copy with just these installed, downloaded the car again just to make sure I have the latest one, made sure to replace the lines, and it still doesn't work. :/

 

I did notice that the vehicles.ide line that was shipped with the download was the same as the vanilla one, might have been that?

Well I used modloader on my other (heavily modded) copy, and I thought that installing it the old fashioned way on a clean copy might fix the problem.

I've moved all the Dundreary stuff in to the modfolder folder but I don't get how to install mods using modloader, is there meant to be an .exe type application in there? All I can seem to find in that folder are subfolders full of files I can't access.

No man, you are doing it completely wrong 😅

And no, there is no need for .exe, if you have for some reason downloaded an .exe file it is 99% a virus.

 

Your modloader.asi shoudn´t be in modloader folder, it has to be in the SA root folder, inside the modloader folder, don´t name it modloader, just to be sure, it can cause some misunderstandings for the script itself.

Okay, after checking the lines, it was indeed my bug, I hadn´t changed the animation parameter for Feltzer

Try this:

Lol 🤣 oh man I'm still stuck. I just don't get how the modloader works because when I put the regina TXT and DFF files in that folder it does nothing. (Don\t worry there wasn't ever an .exe in there, so no viruses😅)

So I went back to using IMG Tool and while that did install the mod, it left me back at square one with the same front end glitch as before. (I'd put VehFuncs.asi in the root folder too). I also changed the name of the ModLoader folder as suggested, I went with "LodMoader". I took this screenshot to show how messy my root folder is, you'll notice half of it is littered with GTA Underground mod stuff (I'm no longer running Underground but I'm unsure what to delete and what to keep).

As for vehfuncs I can only assume it's working because I put the .asi file in the root folder, and asi loader will be in there someplace too. Sorry to keep bugging you guys about this, I know you have better things to do but I appreciate it a whole bunch! I'm thinking I should do a clean SA steam install and start over from scratch but hopefully I can fix it as it is without needing to do that.

Everything seems to be correctly installed but I think your game doesn´t load scripts (neither vehfuncs not modloader works). Does SilentPatchSA.asi and skygfx.asi work? 

 

Also I read from ASI Loader´s readme: 

If you have multiple Executable versions and want to make each one use different ASI plugins, you can create a new folder inside scripts folder with the same name as your Executable (so gta_sa.exe gets gta_sa folder, my_fancy_exe.exe gets my_fancy_exe folder etc.). Plugins placed in thisfolder will be exclusive to specific Executable.
You also can make specific Executables override global settings and load/ignore all plugins via settings.ini edit. Specific Executable can also ignore only some of the plugins - see advanced_plugin_management_example for more info.

You for some reason seem to have two gta-sa.exe´s, try to delete one

I see you:

  • Have modloader.asi in your game folder which is CORRECT
  • Have LodMoader folder instead of modloader folder which is WRONG. Rename it to modloader and keep it that way
  • Have Regina files inside Dundreary Regina folder (It will be CORRECT if you rename LodMoader to modloader)
  • Have ASI loader files (vorbisFile) - CORRECT (well unless you got some outdated version)
  • Have multiple gta_sa.exe files. Make sure you use good old 1.0 us gta_sa.exe (14 383 616 bytes) otherwise it may not work
  • Have VehFuncs.asi in your game folder - CORRECT.
  • That's how the inside of your modloader folder should look like (you must have the files inside RED rectangle and you can DELETE the files inside the GREEN rectangle because they're settings and log file) https://imgur.com/rTrhs2q
  • Also if you don't have GTA Underground anymore  then remove Underground_core.asi. The normal game doesn't need that. It may be the whole reason why you can't get modloader to work

New problem: I deleted the other sa.exe (I compared the two and kept the one with 14 383 616 bytes) but, my Steam wouldn't open that 1.0 version. I looked it up and found that it prefers to load the gta-sa.exe, whereas mods apparently work better with the gta_sa.exe. So, I changed the underscore to a dash and voila it seemed to boot up alright. But then, it said it had to update on launch. What it did was it wiped all my mods out and made the game vanilla again. Bit frustrating, but I figured I could just redo the mods I want again, no worries. However. Now each time I put a mod in, the game wants to "update" again, bringing me back to square one. Is there a way to stop it from doing that?

Create a shortcut of that exe and set it on your desktop(or wherever you want).

 

Do not launch it from Steam.

Ok first time I launched it from the desktop, the game ran but the menu wouldn't respond to mouse clicks, though it's done that before. Second time I tried to launch it wouldn't load. Now I can't get it to run at all, either with steam or without. I tried validating the files and that hasn't helped, I don't know why the game isn't loading because it appears everything is there in the root folder. Even tried R click + run as administrator, nothing. 😔

Update: my computer wanted to restart and that somehow fixed the non-loading problem, now SA launches but it's back to having no mouse activity

(ten mins later) It's working fine now! 😎 Fiddling with the mouse sensitivity setting seemed to wake it up. Not going to question the results though

I don't really understand what is Zion Retro, all i know - it's SA-MP, and this is first car with problem like that)

UPD: I use a lot of your cars, and they function perfectly normal.

@GNOM003 I don´t know why it happens. I manipulated with the dummies to make the boot open in an unorthodox way, but it should be closed (at least it is on mine, and everyone else I know so far) That is why I asked if it happens to Zion Retro too, where I uses the same technique (also Surfer, Mamba, Benson) My best guess is that you have some other conflicting mod that causes that to happen...

In other news... Now that I have finally replaced 100 cars, I can expose some of my next plans: 

My next step is to release a car pack in GTA Inside, (I have already removed the old "Download all at once link") that comes with easy installation. 

Some of you may have noticed that I have re-made the first post of the topic. 

The pack will only be IVF version, if some of you desire the SA Style vehicles instead, then unfortunately you´ll have to download them separately, one by one. 

Also the IVF versions of cars have received updates over times, while I haven´t really bothered with the SA Style ones. 

 

As a matter of fact, I could say I have conversions in 4 "generations": 

0.9 - my oldest cars

1.0 - when I finally started putting IV/V style dirt on cars (The first car to get that was GTA4 PMP600 11.02.17)

1.1 - when I finally figured out about normals for more beautiful body smoothing (The first car was GTA5 Penumbra 27.07.19)

1.2 - when I finally figured out how to fix the SA-MP/MTA bouncing/floating issue (GTA5 SuperD 14.12.19, though many of the older cars don´t suffer from this issue)

 

Many of the older cars are already updated to 1.2 or 1.1, but for the next upcoming pack I will not update them all. Instead my plan is to after releasing the IVF pack, to start working on a "VehFuncs update pack", which will serve as an optional update to the IVF pack. And while updating my older cars to VehFuncs, I will simultaneously update the cars also to generation 1.2. Now after that, most of my cars should be at 1.2, which means I will update the IVF pack as well.

@_F_  I tested Benson and Surfer, it work good, also i put Mesa in the clean version of GTA SA and it's still opened. Can still what options there is? I really like this car☹️
