Great. Gonna go to my shop in town and check the badboys out. I hope I don't change my views because watching it on a livestream is different from using it in real life.

Because it's the best looking iPhone to date, there's actual innovation from them finally since iPhone 4, display has been much improved, bigger screen, better hardware, Apple Pay, much better camera and it is thin as f*ck. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that there isn't that much customization still, but I'm happy they've at least made the notifications section much better.

The only innovation I can see is the better slow motion capability and the Apple Pay system. If you mean innovation for Apple, sure, it's great that they've finally made the jump past 720p and to 1080p and the hardware is better than previous iPhones, but I don't see why - without Apple's admittedly incredible marketing - there is such mass hysteria and why so many would choose an iPhone over Android counterparts. Look at the LG G3. Better processor, more RAM, a much higher resolution screen (but without the large bezels of the iPhone) - I could go on, and yet it is probably CHEAPER. Though I give props to Apple for their great cameras despite low MP ratings. Or if you want design, what about the HTC One M8?

Don't like their versions of Android? Go for the Xperia Z3, in my opinion as good looking, more powerful, more ram, a fantastic screen, innovation with the waterproof rating, better speakers, likely a better battery, a brilliant camera with 4K video recording, can even play PS4 games. iOS might be the preferred operating system and be the decider for buyers like yourself, but I think most of it is down to awareness. This comes from someone who uses an iPad yet have always opted for Android phones.

Does anyone have any pictures of the back of the phone, by the way?m

There is nothing innovative about this phone in no way shape or form.

Remember when I bragged up the X1 to the point of no return at launch? To finally have you all shadder my dreams with the PS4 specs. I finally gave in. I admitted defeat. I embraced the PS4 specs and exclusive games and bought one myself, with no regrets. Great console. So this is going to be like one of those conversations. No wonder Samsung held out on the Quad HD phone for a while. They have nothing to worry about with the new Iphone 6 going up against anything thats been out for the past year.

The only thing thats perfected with there NFC is that it is perfectly late to the game. Samsung has had NFC technology since Galaxy S3. Been bumpin phones since 12'. I hope atleast they gave it 2 GB of RAM, but not sure about that one. I'm hearing its only 1 GB. Is the screen as skinny as it used to be? Those skinny screens really made my Galaxy's look good. 1,334 x 750 resolution (or 326 pixels-per-inch) for the iPhone 6, and 1,920 x 1080 resolution for the iPhone 6 Plus. Galaxy S5 has 1920 x 1080. Improved 8-mega pixel camera. Really? You don't even want to know whats running in everyones else's high end smart phone. Usually 16 - megapixel. No micro Sd card slot still. No removable battery.

Say Samsung and HTC and LG didn't exist. Then this phone might be something special. I found this article after I wrote this.

http://www.dailytech.com/Apples+Lagging+Adoption+of+TokenProtected+NFC+Mistaken+For+Innovation/article36518.htm

I get you all drink Apple cool aid, but if I was all you guys, I would be dissapointed, with especailly the lack of RAM and the camera just to start with.

1080p Video was introduced three years ago with the iPhone 4S.

Idiotic ranting & B*tching removed.

Hey jackass, feel free to go make a Apple B*tching and moaning thread as this isn't the place for your b*tching.

Before this announcement, most people agreed with you but in case you haven't seen this thread, Twitter, FaceBook and all across the web, people are returning to iPhone for the iPhone 6. Sorry if that truth hurts you.

Okay, if people aren't looking at specs at all, then I could see them buying this phone.......................okay, no one is looking at specs. LOL

I could care less what phone people buys. It doesn't hurt my feelings.

Seeing non stop Iphone 6 articles - rumors, all summer, and this is what you guys got? Talk about being blind to the smartphone world technology.

Totally and utterly irrelevant to the point I was making. Since you mentioned it, does the new iPhone have 4K video?

What I meant buy innovating is that I used to hate them since the 4, because after that, there was literally NO difference whatsoever with any of the iPhones released. Now it's a different story in terms of comparing it to their past. Also, we don't even know the amount of RAM in the phone, but I'd be pretty sad if it still was 1 GB, which is ridiculous, and we still need to know what the speed of the CPU is clocked at.

Oh and sims, none of the iPhones ever had 1080p RESOLUTION for the screen, not the videos. Even the 6 doesn't have it yet, it just barely got past 720p.Only the 6 plus has full HD resolution. And the iPhone payment thing is a late addition, Android already has it. Ever heard of Google wallet?

Still, I'm excited for this because it has a bigger screen, better resolution, better hardware and the best thing is that their hardware is fully optimized unlike Android, which I don't have a problem with considering they release patches to optimize it more.

The REAL gripe I have with an iPhone is the lack of customization. Too restrictive.

So are saying the size is the thing that has made the big difference to you in terms of comparing it to past iterations? I don't see how the performance looks to be any big step up in comparison to previous unveilings Edited by josephene123

No not just the size obviously, the design, the hardware improvement and the new iOS 8. Not only that, the camera has been improved, although I'm actually a bit disappointed that its still 8 MP, Apple need to step up ffs. But in terms of size, it actually makes a BIG difference.

I'm not a fanboy to both sides, but iPhones since the 4 were just utter terrible products, that I wasn't interested in because it was exactly the same sh*t coming out every year. This year, it's clearly different, and I wanna see where Apple are headed.

Google Wallet was poorly implemented and is currently rarely used. Apple Pay isn't even out yet and Apple already has a vast amount of supporters for it.

Nobody, including Apple is saying that NFC is new, rather Apple is taking a somewhat older tech and perfecting it just as they did with the phone and tablet.

Yeah that's fine. But it's true that a lot of people are sucking up to this as though it's a new thing. That is just stupid. The fact is Google tried it first and that was years ago, so at least it means that it was attempted. Credit has to be given where it's due.

For the resolution part, they do this to conserve battery life. That's the main reason the iPhone 5s and the 6 didn't isn't running at 1080p. If it did the battery life would of been shorter. But overall I disagree with you calling it innovative. It's a bigger version of the 5s but faster with some things that android already had.

The anger is strong with you SimsDaniel916. Your anger feeds my Galaxy S5 battery life. Did you know that. All I have to do is blutooth it too my PC. Wireless charging capability is awesome. Does the Iphone 6 do that? Stop getting mad bro. I stayed out of your precious Iphone 6 article until it was revealed. Don't get mad anymore, your anger is overcharging my Galaxy S5 battery. Just kidding bro. LOL

Then Apple should use their stupid American brains and implement bigger capacities for their battery. Are they in the stone age? No. Even Samsung have a 3100 mAH battery in the Note 4, the G3 having a 3000 maH battery, G2 and so many other phones.

I find the whole "We had it first" argument completely stupid. Android Users can say they had something first but Apple user get to say they have a great perfected system.

I'm completely fine with Apple's approach as I would much rather have perfected technology rather than stuff that half works just so it can be given the title of "first".

Regardless of specs anything Apple is gonna sell. Buyers know their buying something premium and they last.

I can't see you as being anything other than ridiculously biased. Christ. Give credit where it's due, you haven't even used it and you're saying it's perfect? I use the iPad Mini with Retina Display and it's a very solid device and so is iOS but they've never been perfect. Edited by josephene123

It's not exactly a perfected system when recently, iCloud got hacked by an amatuer and leaked naked pics of some celebrities. Never the less, android at least attempted at something revolutionary and just quite didn't get the mixture right, but that opened the possibility of getting it right and Apple did that.

Basically, both Apple and Samsung are good. Both have pro's and cons.

How the hell they managed to make it thinner?

By making the phone larger for more space for all the inside bits.

That's wrong. The cloud did not get hacked. People with weak passwords and weak secruity questions got their accounts hacked. In case you don't know, that's why every company in the world including Samsung and google and Apple tell you to is very strong passwords.

Is there an iphone model that doesn't upload your nudes to the cloud without your permission? This is a serious question btw.

When did you get those Android based devices? Around the time of the iPhone 4s and before they were pretty much all admittedly clunky and lagged quite a bit at times.

No it wasn't. It was hacked via a brute force attack which allowed hackers to unlimited password attempts which got patched by Apple after it took place. Dumb sh*ts like you make Apple fanboys look like absolute morons with an IQ level of 1.

Agree with this^^^^

Before I got a 5, I'd had Nokias, Samsungs, an HTC etc and while I was never that unhappy with any of them, I couldn't believe how much I liked the 5 when I got it. I prefer the apple App Store so much over the android version and find the iOS system far preferable too.

I'm due a new phone in a month or so and I know what I'm getting now.

Unlike others, though, I don't feel the need to express my individuality through my choice of which massive multinational corporation I buy my electrical gadgets from, I just choose the one that seems to best suit my needs.

Agreed, I'm actually debating whether to wait and get the phablet version or get the htc one m8 or g3.

I still have my Galaxy S3 and don't plan on getting a newer phone in the near future (unless Android L doesn't come out for GS3). It still works perfect. Battery life, great, can't even complain about it. Durability, fantastic. Speed, perfect. It's difficult to point out a big flaw with it. If someone wanted to trade me an iPhone 6 for my GS3, I'd f*cking walk away. There's nothing exciting about this phone. Bigger screen? Come on, we've been having them for a while now. The camera is probably alright, as usual. It's also thinner as well, but thin phones have been around for a while as well. I've been reading some reviews about the 6 and you've got these morons making a big fuss about the thinness of it."IT'S REALLY, REALLY THIN. IT'S LIKE PAPER THIN."

It's not revolutionary, calm down. Has anyone here ever seen the Xperia Z Ultra? LG G2 (great phone, very underrated)? Cram it.

Whatever, all to your own if you wanna buy the iPhone 6. Have fun with it. Meanwhile, I can't f*cking wait for Android L. If it doesn't come out for the GS3 (it most likely will, considering it's still very prominent today not to mention it's completely up to date) then I'll probably be getting the Nexus 5, which is gonna be sick. Really looking forward to that.
