Easy to hot fix. Make it so you can't take hookers or anyone dead into your garage or better yet, make you pay $150k to the cult for their miracle healing process to bring them back alive.

Got downvoted like crazy, so here ya go! The key here is to duplicate over Elegys before they spawn. And be outside when they do. So I recommend 2 at a time to guarantee nothing goes wrong. (you can do as many as you want as long as you do all of them before they spawn)

• Get hooker as usual
• Once inside garage, order an Elegy (or two)
• Duplicate over an Elegy and drive out
• Drive back in ONLY IF YOU BOUGHT 2 and repeat
• Once outside again, wait for the Elegys to deliver
• Drive in and repeat until you fill garage.

I don't know if this matters, but I remove my hooker on the last duplication (outside) before driving back in. Hope this helps.

The glitch wasn't built into the game, it happens as a result of certain actions that confuse the game into doing something that was never intended to happen (i.e. duplicating vehicles).

 

In programing they like to call this an extra feature.. Just saying man..

 

 

As a programmer, I can tell you that its called a logic error and not an "extra feature". Just saying man.

Rockstar can't and won't clear this money. Much harder to distinguish than dns nodding, they would end up taking cash from legit players.

 

My thought is that they patch the glitch with zero consequences.

It would not be difficult for R* to distinguish. They keep records for EVERY in-game purchase and transaction so all they have to do is write a script to detect players who bought 2+ Elegy's and sold 10M+ worth of the same supercar. This would detect 90% of the cheaters and I suspect no legit player would have exhibited this kind of behaviour to get incorrectly flagged.

I have not done the glitch. No judging, just have not needed to. But I could not sell a stolen baller at LSC. The 'sell' option was gone from the list. Happened to anyone else? Was it part of the hotfix?

No, that was not part of the hot-fix.

Writing such a script should be easy enough for them and could be tested on a subset of of the transaction list to verify 'legit' players are not being incorrectly flagged...which they leads to the obvious question of why this has not be done?

 

Most likely they have screened the transaction lists already and noticed to many people have glitched money to bother doing anything to the majority of participants or I guess so many took part a money reset is required. Either way I doubt anything will happen.

I guess it's the same mentality that compels players to cross half the map to kill a white dot out there minding their own business. Just can't stay away. Just like the forum.

I blame the lack of heists

As I said in another thread, since this fun "Dead Hooker" exploit was accomplished entirely within the online gameplay, it felt like a new minigame, not some kind of dirty glitch. I think a lot of people started doing it just because it was something new and fun to learn and do.

 

We don't get that from Rockstar very often. So it basically felt like a little interim activity while we wait forever for the promise of heists.

 

Just like getting beer hats or special T-shirts. It's just something fun to do, since the game does not provide any fun, and if anybody finds a way to start having fun, it gets patched. We have to make our own fun any way we can. The money is just a gamification bonus.

You have an awful high opinion of yourself if you think I'm in any way obsessed with you. I just find it funny that over half your post are of you bitching about the topic at hand. The reason I commented was because you obviously dislike glitching yet you comment in just about every glitching topic there is on this site. Why not just stay away if you don't like it? So the results of this "fix" based on my experiences yesterday:

• My PV takes a f*cking month to show up and it appears much further away than usual.
• The FZ Pegasus thing everyone is complaining about.
• My friend and I kept having Buzzards spawning in stupid places (probably linked to the FZ issue).
• MORE THAN LIKELY other stuff I'm not aware of yet.
• Variation of hooker glitch still possible anyway fgs.

Why is R* seriously incapable of fixing something without breaking like nine other things?

 

I think 1.14 completely f*cked up the lobby news feed. In other words, I always find everything out long before the ticker decides to announce it (players leaving; bounties being claimed etc). In fact, bounties are especially bad -- it sometimes takes 30+ seconds for it to register the bounty as claimed. I've seen people kill a bounty, then I've killed them afterwards and somehow claimed it. I've also killed bounties then they've left AFTER I killed them and I don't get the bounty.

 

Not to mention armoured trucks which basically don't spawn any more (unless I'm alone?). HPVs are also much less frequent. Both of these seem to be a effect of Lester's kill targets.
