Huge on the outside and cramped on the inside, especially since I'll be running teams for the next month. 400 hp 15 liter cummins and a 13 speed. 22.5 Alcoas, double bunk, GPS, XM Satellite radio, CB, TV, DVD player, mini fridge, microwave, propane stove, crockpot, 3 stage jake, etc on it.

Those, alongside of the Ford CL9000 and the Freightliner FLD120's are the best looking american trucks ever made IMO. What's it like to drive? Noise level?

You can rant all you want, everyone knows that the Camaro is great....but its suspension and chassis dynamics kills the car. I think GM may actually tackle the issue next year when the LSA motor gets dropped in the Camaro for the Z28. Hopefully, with a few chassis upgrades and some better suspension components and revisions, the Camaro will be a true Mustang killer.

 

Despite being a huge LS motor fan and a huge fan of the Camaro looks, if I had to choose the mustang or the camaro, I would take the Mustang. I am not totally sold on the motor yet seeing as its totally new versus the time proven LS platform of GM, but the overally chassis and suspension dynamics sell the car.

 

Kinda funny how that, after finally giving the Mustang a set of motors worthy of the car, they start to fall behind Camaro sales for the first time.

Yea everyone I know creams over the Camaro as well. Thanks to Transformers (there's even a transformers package ffs) everyone can enjoy the car without their passion being ruined by owning it.

I've seen a couple of Camaros on this side of the pond. Side profile in particular, they look almost identical to the Audi A5- in fact I mistook one of the former for the latter until I saw the rear.

Having never driven one myself I can't judge their handling, ride or performance- that said, they do make a pretty damn good sound.

They're fairly quiet but have some wind noise due to the sh*t aerodynamics. They're long trucks. Hard to back. Hard to get reference of where you are in the lane with the narrow cab and hood. But it seems to pull 80k gross through the rockies at 65 pretty damn good.

 

Drove the f*cking ice through Wyoming yesterday for a couple hours. That was fun. f*ckin hammer down.

TwinCharger is cool and all but I still think that Porsche's Variable Turbine Geometry turbochargers are cooler.

They've been run on diesels for about 2 decades or something now.

Not to mention on a gas engine in the 89 Dodge Shadow Shelby CSX-VNT.

I swear, if I ever find a Dodge St. Regis I'm buying it. As long as it's roadworthy I'm so buying it. I don't give a flying f*ck about the fact that it's built when the quality was at it's worst or that the 5.9 only produces 190hp. I have to have one.

 

 

 

I'm so fascinated by these R-body cars. I can't really put a finger on why. Maybe because there are so few left, maybe because they seem to be forgotten. Either way, I love these.
