So I'm still on the hunt for a used car, but damn why are 2003-04 honda accords so expensive still? More than 8,000$ on them.. for 7-8 yr old cars? Are they that reliable?

Because I see toyota corollas/nissan altimas (not interested btw) that are 03-06 and much cheaper...

Pretty much all Hondas are like that; they're sold at about 20% or so more than they're actually worth.

TwinCharger is cool and all but I still think that Porsche's Variable Turbine Geometry turbochargers are cooler.

They've been run on diesels for about 2 decades or something now.

Not to mention on a gas engine in the 89 Dodge Shadow Shelby CSX-VNT.

I found a 2006 Honda Accord with 114k miles on it, cost 6500$. I am going to negotiate with them a bit more for a price drop since the car has a salvage title (Was hit on the passenger side, owner says accident was small).

You guys think its worth the money?

-Honda Accord 2006 with 114k Miles

- Price at 6,500$ (I Will negotiate for less)

-Salvage title, small hit on Passenger side. Was repaired. Owner says no Oil/Transmission leaks.

Just have to take a look at it now. But need some opinions, thanks.

eBay Motors is pretty sh*tty in all honesty, craigslist is far better.

Why are you so interested in an Accord, Chargr? I mean, you could get a better, less bland daily driver for a much lower price. They're reliability is pretty hyped up, in reality if you take care of any other car as much as an Accord they'll both last just as long as each other.

And six and a half grand is too much for something with a salvage title if you ask me. You could get a decent E39 for that much.

As for the Honda, really. Go for something older, uncrashed. Even if the owner is being honest you really can't know how a collision affects a vehicle without an expensive, thorough inspection. Although the obvious stuff is fixed you could end up sitting there with your ass hanging out a year or 6 months down the road.

I don't know what kind of cars you like, but why not get a daily driver that stands out?

I take it you live in the LA area, because of Jelly's post. Here are two pretty cool daily drivers I found on craigslist.

A 1964 Pontiac Catalina for $3400.

A 1969 Plymouth Satellite for $3500.

Sixties cars don't really stick out as much as you'd think. I see one or two most days and I live in bumf*ck nowhere. I'm sure they're everywhere in a big place like LA.

I like jelly's suggestion, but if you look around you might be able to find an early 90s 300D. It'll be harder to work on (although if you're buying an Accord I have my doubts you'll be doing your own maintenance), but it'll have the comfort level you seem to be looking for, and honestly they don't go for much more than the older models.

The ONE night in hundreds of days of driving to work that I don't take my car due to weather, is the day a 350z shows up on a major passing battle stretch of road and I can't show him up. This is how my car life works. When I'm passenger in a hyundai, we drive through college sorority central. When I'm in any of my cars I've owned, there's not a bitch to be found. Same with competition. Seriously.

I would love to get an expensive sports car purely to wear the bumper sticker "My other car is a Lada."

im tired of see'in hundreds of mustangs a day. mustangs jus lost bein special in the mid 90's. u never see corvettes around near as often as mustangs. the older mustangs r ftfw dont get me wrong, but the 90's and above are just wayy too common. PLUS who do u see driving mustangs? dudes in their 20's thinking their driving an evo tryna race everyone. who do u see driving corvettes? old rich retired people with class. when ur driving a corvette u dont have to go fast, cuz they already know. but people who drive mustangs act like they got something to prove.

thats my word on mustangs nowadays.

I don't understand the part about mustang drivers thinking they are driving an Evo. The Evo is not a supercar bro. Give me a terminator over an Evo any day.

Neither is a supercar in all fairness. One is a modern muscle car, and one is an AWD sports saloon.

Interestingly, the BHP/Tonne figures, delimited top speeds and 0-60 times from the MR FQ320 and SVT Cobra are identical. Hows about that?

My buddy's father has owned the red w/ black stripe Roadrunner for a couple decades. It has a 383ci with a 747...bone stock from the ground up. The red Plymouth Satellite, owned by my buddy's older brother and long time friend of mine, David, has a 500hp 440ci that is in the middle of still being built up. I am not sure on the trans type but it is a 4 speed. Figured you guys might like to see them.

Carry on.

It is fresh out of the paint booth. It looks 100x better in person. The Roadrunner is not as pretty in the paint but I like it better. It has the look of a car that has been driven hard, but taken care of well. Not perfect, but just right.

Wasn't the probe suppose to be a mustang replacement, but mustang owners didn't want a front wheel drive mustang?

Yup. While I like both the mustang and the probe/mx-6, they are not interchangeable. Thankfully, most of the "Detroit <3 FWD" era sh*t is over with.

It a f*cking hatchback! Who the f*ck wants a Ferrari Hatchback?!?! Plus it seems that they stole some ideas from Mazda with the f*cking grin of front end. And the name makes me think that is a front wheel drive car, though it aint.

Shooting Brake*

Anyways...I like it. I also really like Ferrari stepping into the AWD market and stepping on Lamborghini's toes.

I think it looks cool, change is what keeps the world moving. I don't know why you're getting worked up over it anyway, chances are most of us here will never be able to afford one anyway. Regardless, I do like it and I hope they make a RWD version. Can never hold a candle to the original Ferrari breadvan though...

I think that 612 looks great, not too keen on the BMW roofline though. The world needs more shooting brakes and estates, this isn't the first time I've posted this...

Its Swiss, has a Chrylser sourced 426ci Hemi, 450hp, and does 180mph. I have loved that car for a long time now.
