Grabbed my Dad's new A6 Avant earlier while he was out, wanted to check out the quattro's traction control. Managed to get it up to 9/10mph in a hard circle on gravel. mercie_blink.gif Insane grip.. pretty dizzy afterwards. Did the same in the Cortina afterwards as a comparison and nearly wrapped the boot around a tree. tounge.gif

didn't you have like 2 toyotas?

It is a petrol/diesel, the A6?

Signature soon.

It's a diesel tiptronic. confused.gif Yeah my mum still has the Corolla Verso, but my dad finally saw sense (the RAV4 was sh*t) and I convinced to buy an Audi. I told him to go for a manual, but you can't have everything. tounge.gif

In the background here.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Yeah, they are quite popular here. Especially for Construction, good room for stuff in the back.

Anyone know about or are into Mazda 929's preferably 84'? Only reason I ask is my brother bought one after thrashing his Golf to death or the golf thrashing itself to death its hard to tell.

Great photos. I love that BTCC Civic.

I don't, because they've taken the 4-door and dropped in the Type-R K20 rather than use a Type-R. I think they're supposed to use 4 doors by rules... but last year they had DC5s running!

The DC5s here are privateers who are under different regulation but race alongside the BTCC cars.

That Peugeot is nice, took my eye when I seen it, I'll tell you that. It's quite un-usual actually, especially the rear of it.

The Citroen sports car is nice aswell. smile.gif

I remember reading a while ago about Peugeot producing this phenominal engine, but then never heard word again!

that has to be one of the most impractical cars i have seen. incredibly long, yet the passenger sees no benefit....that brings up a question, what ever happened to the 300c lwb?

SIP the RC is a mid engined (!!!) V12 700hp limo. Quite yet impressive. No interest in the 300C for the NAM, Chrysler dropped the project. After a study the only country where it could sell was proven to be China. Chinese have for example an Audi A6L and it represents 70% of the sales.

I bought a fully loaded 929 at the end of last year, I think it was an 84 or an 85 model, one of the wedge shaped ones regardless. It had full electrics including seats, sunroof, windows, mirrors, cruise control, etc, a velour interiour, alloys, cold A/C tinted windows and a spoiler to boot!

We bought it for $400 from an abandoned vehicle auction, we took a punt on it as we didn't know if it ran, due to the keys being missing. But once we got it home we broke in and hotwired it and it ran like a dream. The only thing I could fault it on was its underwhelming accelaration from the 2 litre engine.

Aside from requiring new lock barrels, all it needed for a RWC was an exhaust O ring, I couldn't believe it. My mate drove it for three months once we registered it, in that time it spat the harmonic balancer (a common fault I'm told) and we had to replace a leaky power steering rack, but it was otherwise reliable.

It met its end a couple of months ago when my friend was driving it on a gravel road, he lost it coming through a bend, over corrected the steering and hit a group of pine tree's head on at about 50kph. To the cars credit, it withstood the impact well enough for both the driver and front seat passenger to walk away unscathed.

Hi all.

Didn't feel the need to make a topic, but I'm a real Mercedes fan, as many of you may know. Anyway, I'm wondering what you think of the new S-Class Mercedes.

Yeah it turned out the one my brother bought had a cracked head and a pretty much shot engine, apart from that it was in fantastic condition inside and out. The sad thing is now, it cost 600 bucks and the other day my brother had it towed and scrapped which netted him 20 bucks.

@Freakeh God your brother sucks. Smack him in the head with a very large pole for me. Or let him go for a drive in the Colt, that's embarrassment enough!

@*gta star* I like the outside, it's not as dull as some german cars, but the interior is just not my thing. Upper management may love it, but I'd rather be inside a Jag. Gentlemen's club on wheels cool.gif But that said, I'm not a big fan of Mercedes. As far as I see it, generally over hyped cars. Their range is very, very over cluttered too, and there's nothing cool about a Mercedes when you see a bunch of old men driving around in C180 'Sports'-hatchbacks and sedans. Just a bunch of utter spanners..

That said, there is not much cooler than a black CLS55 with big 12 spoke wheels! tounge.gif

Cran. - Incase you didn't figure, a Jag is an upper class man's car, just that they are sh*te for holding their money, they depreciate in value quicker than a stone falling out of the sky. Jaguar's in my opinion have one of the nicest interiors, obviously a Rolls Royce or Bentley is top of the league, but a Jaguar is next. The new Mercedes is just as nice as a Jaguar inside, but you have to remember, you can't call a Mercedes upper class, and try and consider a Jaguar not to be.

Its not just any Colt, its a yellow Colt that's been badly spray-painted with silver spray-paint which has the tyre's and wheels off a 84' Mazda 929 which as you probably guessed are too big for a little colt. God knows how they are staying on the car without rubbing on any of the bodywork or wheel wells.

I will love to see pics if installed.

And as for pics, can anyone help me find some pics of a 64,65,66 Mustang coupe with a rear trunk spoiler? (Like the 68 California Special) Cause I really want to get one, but I am unsure if they are available or not, I don't see why they couldn't be, but still.

And if you are wondering, heres my Stang'

I plan on getting a bunch of new stuff from YearOne and MustangPerformance. With the spoiler above, Shelby hood, conversion tail lights, and a new paintjob, this baby is going to be bad ass.

Ouch! That's a great way to f*ck up your speedo, and if I'm not mistaken, the world's easiest way to defect your car!

@*gtastar* Tell me about it! The only thing worse than Jag depreciation is French depreciation! My dad sold his car for AU$14,000. Back in '94, it was AU$116,000 new! Jaguars still have the whiff of the old man about them though!

If directed at me: I'll be receiving it sometime next week, then I'll try making the arrangements for it to be installed. Don't have any welding equipment where I live, sadly.
