The one I posted is actually an S65B40 and full E90 M3 running gear in an E91 estate, rather than a heavily modified 335i.

I think we've talked about the E30 Touring in here in the past, right? Extremely rare, less than 10 in all of North America as far as I'm aware, and even across the pond it's pretty hard to find one.

Tell me that isn't the sh*t. Probably one of the best looking wagons out there. It looks just as good as the base CLS but with more space.

We don't really get wagons over here in the US. I'm sure some of you Euros are tired of em.

No, what he posted was a CLS and yours is a CLA. Both look like sh*t in SB versions. The CLA already isnt a nice car, but the SB completely ruins.

@/////507 I also posted images of the CLS SB on the page prior to this one. I don't think it looks like sh*t at all.

 

@Awesome I really can't get behind the Mercedes CLA tho. It's incredibly cramped, FWD and overpriced for what it is thanks to that big ass three-pointed-star on the front.

 

I can't help but think someone would be better served with a Focus RS, Golf R or even a Mazda 3 instead (at least in the US market). The CLA has a luxury badge, but the BMW 2-Series or saving up for the C-Class is a better option.

 

The official reveal for the new Alpine is next Tuesday, February 16th. I'll hold judgement until then.

The CLS SB you posted doesnt look good to me either, even if its the facelifted version, wich i normally love. However the W205 C Estate does look good, sometimes even better than the Sedan.

 

The best looking estate now is the Audi RS6 C7, IMO. Its a f*cking beast.

Agreed on the CLA. It's a cheap Mercedes with an incredibly cheap interior, even when compared to the C-class. It's a product meant almost exclusively for people who cannot afford a proper Merc but still want the prestige that comes with the badge.

Looks are very subjective but you simply can't question the utility of a wagon.

 

They are basically a sedan with more storage space. How could that not be more practical? And better performance than an SUV or truck.

 

You can drive it as a daily and you can pop a surf board in the back... Or carry a lot of stuff.

 

And it isn't the middle that is aerodynamically bad. It's the flat break in the back that causes negative pressure build but a lot of newer wagons have solved the issue.

well I love the Nomad the way I love the classic Woodie or the VW split-window Type-2.

what should be an ugly car is actually so unique and original that it becomes hard not to enjoy.

 

it does things that modern wagons don't do.

the stance is slung in such a way that the Nomad almost looks like the product of a chop job. most wagons are too tall. I like that it has 2doors and not 4. I like how the lines of the wagons roof actually falls down below/between the extension of the lines that form the flared tail fins. most wagons carry the roof line all the way back, down and 'pull' it over the rear of the car which makes most of them look stunted. as though they're incomplete or something.

I love wagons, always have, but the amount of material and tools I needed to bring to jobs would never fit in, or may just destroy a wagon.
