I'm not sure i'm a fan of the Koenigseggesgeggeeggesgggegg's looks. The front and the rear don't match the sides, that's just my opinion though.

What for

No one knows, but people are guessing Ferrari complained. Cause it is copying The Ferrari TheFerrari.

I'm guessing they took it down because Ferrari is the cry-baby, rich-kid of the group and always gets his way. I can see why, though.

Anyways, here's some anit-lag at its finest. I love how the Supra appears to have caught fire near the ending, and the e30 going down the street was literally monstrous.

does anyone use car covers?

so we have a garage where we live right now. but it's only big enough for 1.5 vehicles so usually my girl will park in the garage next to the bikes. she makes more money than me and works nights so I really don't mind letting her have it. the issue is that I'm getting a new car soon.

as long as we're living in Colorado with Colorado Winters, I don't want to just leave it exposed under the weather all day while I'm out or at home. not anymore. I'm considering getting a nice car cover for the days when I don't get to use the garage and while I'm at work. the main thing is the ice and sleet that sits on the car throughout the afternoon or night.

question.

do car covers freeze?? a modern car cover must be made out of the right material that it would't just stick to the surface of the car. right? I would certainly be surprised if so, but honestly never owned or even used a car cover before. I assume it's as simple as dusting off the cover and car should be good to go. more or less.

I dont use car covers nor do I use my garage (like most other people, a 2 car garage is full of crap)

As long as you don't live in Siberia or the South Pole, I'm fairly sure you wont have to worry about car covers freezing

If you do end up using a car cover, make sure you keep your car clean. Otherwise the cover will cause the dust or dirt to scratch the paint.

My brother got his improved locking wheel nuts today. Bought them on Ebay for $100 including shipping from China and it turns out, they're manufactured by Volk Sports.

From China? I'd be having a second/third/alot of looks over them to make sure it hasn't been just slapped on the packaging/part etc.

Anyway, this is coming up this weekend and I will be attending;

Will get as many photos and videos as possible and report back on Monday. It's going to be a great time all round with that turnout too.

Are you sure they're not VoIk Sqorts?

Either way, isn't it Volk Racing?

Here's some wheels to go with your wheel nuts.

Yeah. They came in a clear pack with the Volk Sports brand and Japanese writing on the box also. Maybe a wholesaler or something?

What does it say in Japanese?

This tattoo says "beautiful goddess".

I'm more leaning toward the other, less desirable possibility actually.

Awesome. Unreliable. Really needs to be a Turbo.

The AAN engines from the Audi S4 bolt straight onto the standard gearbox. There's a guy in the UK with a 2.5 stroked 7A N/A I5 powered one on throttle bodies which is very cool.

They're a nice $500 Craigslist lawn ornament.

This also came up. Couldn't find this 914 ad I saw yesterday either.

Speaking of things for sale, check this out:

1975 Citroën CX 2200 Super in original condition and only done 29,000 kilometres, for only 16,500 euro!

Oh, I'd like to own a car like that. Of course, only for the one day of year where the weather is absolutely splendid.

My mum tells me that she wants to get a small two door sports car. Initially she wanted an SLK but I've nudged her in the direction of the new Boxster/Cayman. I took her to the local Porsche dealership and got my guy there to take her through both the Boxster and Cayman. Now she tells me she likes the Cayman more and I think the next step is to get her into the drivers seat and out on the road. It'd be pretty cool to see my mum in a Cayman.

EDIT: Actually what other small 2 door sports cars can I take my mum to see? It has to be available in Taiwan and around the same price as a Cayman.

My mom's highlight was almost crashing my dad ol' '98 Eclipse :p

She has a Corolla now, but she's trying to buy a Merc or a Grand Cherokee. She loves those big, ostentatious cars.

I like the new 2-series.

I like the 2 series too but my mum isn't a big fan of BMW. I saw a beautiful M235i in the office parking lot the other day though. I suggested the new MX5 but she wants something she hasn't driven before (she had a 1st gen MX5 and a 2nd gen MR2 back in England).

Aha, maybe she'd like a GT86!

I was tempted to suggest it earlier but it doesn't really fit the Cayman/SLK profile.

Yeah, I don't think she'd go for any Japanese makes. She's looking for something comfortable yet sporty looking. She doesn't like the air quality here so convertibles are also out of the picture. She's a picky woman, my mother.

Eh, I can't fault her for her choice if she's had some cool bare-bones drivers' cars in the past, priorities change.

An F-Type might be interesting, not sure about the availability in Taiwan but Jaguar would be foolish to miss out on such a growing market.

Yeah she might like that actually. I remember she had Jag XJ (X308) in british racing green. She loved that car.

Small sports car:

e: that was actually a terrible suggestion. I doubt they're easy to come by there, and I doubt she's buy a 5-year old car.

Is a huge wonking front spoiler useful on a RWD front engined platform in time attack like this

news-world-racing-global-time-attack-sci

I feel like it would throw the everything off. I saw someone put something like this on a game a couple of days ago on a RX-8 and thought it was odd.

I've never seen a RWD TA car with this setup, and I figure its because usually cars with said setup, have massive amount of power to the front wheels to put down to avoid spinning the tires coming out of corners. Only example I can think of that has a front spoiler is a S14 that never reached past project stage and a Evo with a huge front canard/splitter hybrid.

I'm not an engineer by no means, but my common sense tells me that the front aero when going into a corner would make the rear-end a mess as the front of the car is shoved down even more and the only way to counter tons of oversteer that you now have, is to stiffen the rear anti-roll bar to equal put the amounts of body roll.

I know I might be wrong someone, but correct me! I'm in the process of seriously tuning in Forza 5 as it's pretty much mandatory.
