Poor use of materials, inside and out. It performed exceptionally well but that vinyl and plastic interior, that stale looking exterior? C'mon.

Rather have a bland car that's fast than a nice looking car that's slow

I'd rather have a car that wasn't poorly built but slower. Have you watched top gear and how easy that rear panel would buckle when pressed?

lol. The Corvette is a mid life crisis car anyway :p

I'm a fan of the older Corvettes, but I also really like the new one, too. The C6 is just... bland and boring and just unappealing.

Wait, since when was the C7 slow? 3.9 seconds-2.9 seconds is slow? I think you're just being a troll now.

I never liked the C6, it always looked awkward and cheap to me. I did and still do like the C5 though, especially the Z06.

For what you pay for, yes its fast (since its only 50k while other cars in its class easily are double that). Comparing to other cars in its class (excluding price as a factor), its not since it cant even hit past 200 (or near it for that matter :) ). Everyone knows that it wont outhandle a mid engined European sports car to save its life, so handling is out of the question.

After purchasing my Citroën DS, I have become quite a fan of Citroëns.

I have decided that my next car is going to be either a Citroën SM (a bit unlikely, as they are pricesy to find in good nick), a Series 1 Citroën CX Prestige or a Citroën XM V6. The only reason for buying an XM over a CX should be the bigger engine.

Unfortunately, I will probably have to wait a year before that can happen. Still need to even out my finances. But there aren't any good offers around on either model right now.

But if I feel a bit weird, I might also go for a Citroën HY.

And for the Germans out there, you can buy Erich Honecker's CX.

Also, I'll just leave this here:

Precisely today I spotted a couple Citroen XM parked in the outskirts. They are hardly seen anymore.

You're an idiot. End of discussion.

The fact anyone could think a C6 vette even competes in the same market as a mid-engined European sports car basically invalidates any opinion they may have. And the arbitrary "cars aren't fast unless they exceed 200mph" comment is utterly laughable.

I did not know until today that the GTR 35 had a concept car in 2001
looks nice, especially for 2001 where just about everything was bland

The retail version looked very similar to the 05 concept though

I am very glad they made the changes they did though, the concept car looked far too much like a prototype (which it was, but you know what I mean!).

I would have preferred leaner proportions like in previous generations though.

Dude. SM.

I'd love one, but they are rather expensive. And I'm afraid, rather unreliable. Although more reliable than Italian sports cars of the era, but that's not saying much.

A racing version of that would look cool.

Same engine as the Merak right? Didn't those love to grenade themselves and send the shiny bits out the exhaust pipes?

Somehow, I missed this. After reading it, I have to say it's probably one of the dumbest things I'll read in the next 24 hours. Good job dipsh*t. :^:

After Miatas, Vettes are probably one of the best performing, most raced cars out there. C5's and C6's being the vast majority there. The best thing about the C7 Z06 coming out is that C6 Z06's will soon be cheap as chips and thefore that much easier to attain and then beat up and race. I can't wait.

Yes, if you had Jeremy Clarkson change the spark plugs.

You can't be that unobservant. Obviously the 2011-2014 Charger shares a lot of styling cues with that concept.
