anyone know about installing an air catcher onto a v6 without a supercharger?

I plan on supercharging my quirky little motor in the future but right now due to money and space issues I jut want to set up the blower for looks/sound. it is a carb of course so I was thinking of just getting an aftermarket carb that will accept an air intake, anyone have tips/examples/parts??

Has anybody driven an E89? I'm having serious second thoughts about the Brera as it's simply too compromised for the performance it (doesn't) offer. The E89 looks almost as good inside and out and seems a lot more sorted technically. What worries me is the EPAS. It's from the earlier days of the technology's mainstream roll-out and is as likely as not to be utterly dull and lifeless, over-light and completely lacking in any involvement. The reviews don't mention any problems but I'm unconvinced and want more opinions.

 

Nobody mention the P word, please, I'm a spec whore and can't afford one. Or the H word. I don't like my women bald.

I've driven the E89, albeit only in 2.5 form. It's more of a GT than an out-and-out sports car but the Brera isn't even that (the handling on them is pretty piss poor). The EPAS is fairly feelsome as far as electric steering goes.

I still remember with great distaste the small Hyundai given to me as a courtesy car a couple years back; think it was an i40? God knows. Anyway the steering wheel was bigger than the Titanic's and felt like it was mired in a bowl of custard. There was no indication whatsover which way the wheels were pointing. Everything felt soggy, undefined...

 

Oh, and it had these DRLs which were so bright at night that I forgot to turn the headlights on- the dials are always lit.

Any way to get a good grasp on driving manual tranny without actually having access to a manual transmission car at the moment? I want to buy an FR-S in the next couple months and I of course want to get it in the Manual Transmission version. But I have only driven a manual a few times and never regularly and don't know anyone who currently has a manual trans car I could practice in. I picked it up pretty quickly when I drove my buddies car about a year ago but he lives in another state and I haven't driven one since. Would the dealer let me take the car around their parking lot a few times after I purchased the car in order to get a good grip on driving stick before I head out onto the main roads? Or is the idea of buying a manual; tranny car without having prior experience foolish?

there you go lol. it's a complicated thing to explain yes and it seems like that's the only real photo I've seen like it, but basically it's a blower without a supercharger. Like I said, money + space means no supercharger right now, but I'd still like to have something to beef up the engine a bit. And yes, I have no idea what it is, which is why I asked about it lol. If I knew exactly what to go get I wouldn't waste my time bothering about it and would just go buy the parts.

How come some people get mad to small to midsize spoilers?

 

Some people make there's cars a heck of lot ricier than low - mid profile spoiler.

People also get mad at brands that aren't their favourite.

Generally they're useless on most cars driven at what can only be described as "legal" speeds. The same goes for most aero on high performance cars too; the role it plays at speeds below about 70mph is pretty minimal. That said, there are exceptions- like the Mk1 Audi TT, which had an alarming propensity to swap ends during mid-speed cornering until they put that f*ck-ugly lip spoiler on it.

Agreed. And I don't know what it is with the Huracan but it just doesn't look that good at all. It's the first Lamborghini that hasn't appealed to me visually.

Well my bad.

 

And OT I love how Evo's and STI's look without spoilers, even though they were engineered for aerodynamics and handling.

Also I like small lip spoilers, just adds a bit of edginess even though they may just be for aesthetics.
