Starting to see 2011-2013 BMW's everywhere now, from 5 series(I actually see these the most), 6 series, and 7 series. It's a really nice sight though.

One of my neighbours has a 2012/62-reg 640Ci.

Nice. I've just now looked at the starting prices for the car and woo! It's not pretty, starting at 76,000 for the 640i without the extra options.

We've got some people with money in the neighborhood north of my school though. Lots of $300,000+ $400,000+ houses there(here, typical houses are around 130-60K here). So I've been seeing lots of nice cars there.

New BMWs and Mercedes are a pretty common sight in my city. The median house price is $467,000. Although, my condo is nowhere near that.

Looks classy, and expensive. Only thing i think looks weird are the two components at the front: the grill and the headlights. They look great and all, but don't fit together very well. One or the other should be more square or more round. Otherwise i like it.

Basic proportions look fine to me, a definite air of E90 BMW about it. Not a fan of the headlights or the Audi-RS-but-a-bit-smaller aping front intakes.

I've very much enjoyed the look of most of the new Mercedes released in the last few years. That car looks sporty and very lux-like as well. Love the grill. Seems like direct competition with the 5 series bimmers.

I wish the top of the grill was rounded off a bit more. I'm not big on the recent pig snout flat jagged, sticking-up grill thing Mercedes has gone off with the past few models. Otherwise a fairly good looking car.

If I were to buy a Lamborghini, which one would be best to buy?

My dad told me that a older Lamborghini like a Countach or a Diablo would have more expensive parts than a Murcielago or Gallardo.

 

So the question still stands, whic Lamborghini would be best to buy? (My favorite is the Diablo, but I heard that they aren't really reliable. )

 

I am not buying a Lamborghini (Unless I win the Lotto or get a very good job ), but I was just wondering.

Ha, I'm the complete opposite then. =P I think the middle grill doesn't "work" with those headlights for the center sedan. The sedan on the right looks great and has a modernistic look, in my opinion. However, I also think that wagon looks a bit odd.

I can't back your dad up on that statement, but I also think the older Lamborghini's were the best and would definitely consider a Countach or Diablo over the Murciélago or Gallardo any day.

Meh, I still prefer the current gen E-Class. Facelift came too soon. Also starting to look a bit generic though I do like the angular daytime running lights.

It's the "Lamborghini P147 Gandini", looks like a very interesting car with the Diablo 6.0 and Diablo interioir, infact, the whole car seems to be a modified Diablo!

It's car buying season for me.

 

I've been DD'ing my Evo 6 for a few months now, but it's still a project car. It's untuned, gets horrible fuel economy, and just needs a ton of work to be just right. Unfortunately with me having to use it all the time, I can't really tear into it much. To solve this, I'm getting a new car to drive, and keep the Evo as a project.

 

A few months back I visited Monaco and drove a bone stock 500 all along the Riviera. It was pretty gutless on the straights, but a lot of fun in the bends. So a few days ago I test drive a 500 Abarth. First impressions were that it was a lot more cramped in than the Euro one, and I felt like I was sitting a lot higher up. Clutch pedal was too soft, brakes were too stiff, and the steering had no feeling to it. Complete disconnect I felt between the driver and the road. On top of that a $33k price tag put me off. I could get a bare bones one for $23, but it would still be underwhelming.

 

Now in a few days I'm checking out another car. If they wanted that much for a new 500, I want to see what that could get me in any other used car. It's a chrome orange Exige (like the one in Horizon) and it's only a 15 minute drive from me. If I can get a loan secured, I want to bring it home with me. I'll have a little review of it Wednesday night.

One thing I was just thinking of, if you get an Exige, get a 2nd set of wheels/tires for winter duty. The stock tires are ADVAN A048's, which are labeled as DOT track tires (more or less R comps), and are not supposed to be used or stored below 14 degrees or they'll harden and crack. They're also only 60 treadwear, so they're gone pretty quick.

Thanks for the heads up. This one has a set of aftermarket wheels but I'd like to find a set of OEM ones to use in the winter/spring rain season. That is assuming I get it.

 

Speaking of the Exige, I loved it. It is a hell of a lot smaller than I had imagined though. Getting inside of the thing is a ritual all in itself. Once you're in though you feel like part of the car. I didn't get the pleasure of driving it myself, but I was taken for a spirited ride-along.

 

Throttle response is great, and the downforce really has an affect on the car at speed. The car just felt planted on the road, unlike my Evo which wants to spin out any chance it gets. Performance-wise it felt almost like my motorcycle. That reason alone made me fall in love with the car. Riding 90% of the year makes you a different sort of driver. Steering looked to be very direct, and the ride quality (although sensitive) was bearable. The car had been lowered over an inch, so it sits quite low.

 

I was looking around for the right car for me, and the Exige is most definitely it. As to wether or not I'll have one soon is up to the bank.

I'm not sure if I could fit in an exige. I've tried several times to fit in normal elises, and it's f*cking hard and that's with the top off.

 

 

These things really need removable steering wheels.

 

Also, I think they look badass with the roof unbolted. It's nice to still be able to go top off if you wanted.

Yeah, lotus' do not go good with the whole big wheel thing. I really like the stock wheel/tire combo.

 

 

Have a stock exige set for fun driving and maybe some elise stockers for DD duty.

I'll never understand people putting wheels on a car that don't go with the design of it at all. For the most part, I like stock wheels on vehicles.

I mean, the latest Imprezas are not worth their name and are nothing like the previous four door supersaloons, but still. Its sad that Subaru f*cked up the Impreza, no wonder why there is no demand like TG.com said.

They're still very fast cars, though they're a bit on the porkier side than the old ones and they have their fair share of bottom end issues.

It is it's look that gets me. I mean Impreza's were never that impressive to look at in my honest opinion, but the latest one just looks boring and ugly, especially for a model that came out in '12.
