GTA 360 Posted February 16, 2011 Share Posted February 16, 2011 I ended up spending about £33,000 writing UR2 SLOW on the back of my brand new Subaru Impreza, just to p**s people off in MP. As far as i know, you can't. Something i hope i really wish they would implement. Why not just go to the Xbox dashboard or what ever the PS3 variant is and play it from there? I'm on PC. Awesome, but still I cant get rid of unlocked or special cars. Really they shouldnt count towards your garage list. Or instead of selling them, sending them back to the used car dealer and have them just sit around. I knew I shouldnt have picked up the mustang, epic car f*cking ruined by that gay ass paintwork. nixxio Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 As much as I hate this games guts someone has gifted me TDU2 and I don't wanna be rude I'm at least gonna try it and play it, download will take ages thanks to my slow internet. But a couple of people have been sniffing through the game files and have found a couple of things like hidden dlc cars(Viper ACR), probably just place holders for their next great dlc? But still driving physics are still complete sh*t, I really wish they just continued using physics engine used in tdu1, physics in the new game is just completely unpredictable and apparently wheel support is crap too. Also anyone noticed how when you burnout almost every time near the end its just 1 tire burning out, the f*ck is up with that. If you want people and lots of stuff to do, get TDU2. If you want driving get TDU1 be warned though, ever since TDU2 launched cruises in tdu1 have become like finding a needle in a haystack, its a ghosttown. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted March 9, 2011 Share Posted March 9, 2011 Meh to me the handling is not far off the original, dunno about wheel support as I use a PS3 controller and find it acceptable if not frustrating at times. Overall its much of the same stuff as the first just more focused on the customisation of your avatar and home instead of where it was needed ie. cars. Sure they gave us a livery or sticker editor too bad it sucks, you do a decent bit of artwork on the back of your car and after cruising around you notice your great bit of artwork all blurry! Even simple things like putting an Aussie flag on my WRX turns into a blue smudge! Despite things like that I am enjoying it, by it I mean trying to discover all roads and collect the wrecks although bit disappointed the prize was a standard old Beetle instead of some sort of souped up dune buggy beetle! To me the handling is far off from the first game. me and speedz with ragon filmin, this is fun, in tdu2 this is not even remotely possible. But anyways we don't get most of the problems you guys are getting on the console versions though, stickers getting blurry, etc. I also have all the wrecks(hawaii and ibiza), favorite one has to be the shelby daytona coupe, loved it in the first game always made people how the f*ck is it keeping up with their fast cars, just ughh the handling, I don't even drive it all. The buggy wreck you get is cool, you can see the moving parts of the engine and all that, but the subie and merc suv is faster than it so I kinda never use it. me in the fxx just wish you could repaint it or something, maybe somewhere down the road modders will help us with that issue, and near the end is my suv messing around with my friends awesome beetle, shows how fun the game can be even with the sh*t physics. All I've been doing lately is just like free-style offroading, trying to climb up the peaks of mountains and sh*t, got some really good shots sometimes. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656119...53/screenshots/ So far I'd go as far as saying I'm enjoying this game, just don't pick it up if you're looking for cars that actually drive like cars, because in this game cars drive like they're brick stones. Couldnt say for sure in other regions though, with the second patch due on monday to sort out connectivity. but theres no garantee that these patches will sort out all of your problems. Thanks for the info man, I've never actually played the first game though (unfortunately not an option, since i’m on PS3) so I really had nothing to compare this to, anyhow I'm leaning towards Bulletstorm, as from game play videos of this, well lets say the physics aren't exactly good, even for a street racing game. I've been probably slow to warm to it as I knew about the problems it has. Nice cars though and to star off with a Lotus Esprit is nice. I know it's been pointed out before but the voice 'acting' and cutscenes are absolutely brutal. Everyone looks the same age, they all look like they just walked off MTV and people speak to you in a condescendingly retarded voice. "HERE'S A CAR! YOU CAN DRIVE IT! YAY!" Smacks of old people trying to tap in to a younger market and make something cool for the kids! Other than that, I was kind of sold on the game because someone here or on youtube said it's great even if you just like driving nice cars and looking at nice scenery. Also, I think it's stupid that it came out on 360 first, even though I do have an Xbox. Hopefully the many, many bugs in this game will be gone and I will actually be able to cruise with friends online without being disconnected every 15 minutes. But since the whole dev team got canned, and after waiting for that free dlc for so long I was surprised it even showed up. So maybe it will maybe it wont, I dont expect it any time soon though. One could only hope, but dealings with ATARI are more of futile as it has been shown by the titles of late, an unfinished product targeted more to stereotypes rather than to making a lasting appeal that would secure their financial well being in the future. Though ATARI I guess are not beyond hope when you take a look at Ubisoft and their ways to alienate PC gamers (While sometimes still churning out a good product) with their unreasonable DRM, backing it up until the last drop of blood. Now come to think of it, I don't think ATARI has released a good product for quite a while, but with the announcement of "Test Drive: Ferrari", I think it's called, with the product being targeted to a more hardcore driving audience, based on the studios that's working on the project past experience with racing games, there might still be hope I presume. To sum up this totally bipolar text, there is a possibility if ATARI has a say in it if they have learned from all the un-success and infamy, if you could call it that, there is a chance this issue might be addressed. Though I would think that this may come at an extra price even though some might be entitled to say that this should be free for what they had to put up with ever sine they bought the game. I've no idea how I got to this point. I'm yet to see 1 online petition that actually made an impact Space Marine on PC. My mistake, I haven't been following the gaming news all that much for the past year or so, I knew that some company did say that: "Now if you make a petition regarding that, we might just do it". But that was fairly recently as to what I recall, was posted on Joystiq and/or on PC Gamer a month or so back.
