UES Roleplay 16 Posted July 6, 2014 Hey, how come your posting recruitment messages right now when one can't even apply until August? Also, messages like this go here in the Crew Recruitment Forum Section: http://gtaforums.com/forum/275-crew-recruitment/ Just getting our name out there is all! This gives time for individuals to prepare for our hiring process. Also, this is our first time posting on GTAForums. Could a mod move this to the correct section? UES Roleplay 16 Posted July 6, 2014 Wow I must say you guys seem to be a very accurate role playing community. I am a real life police officer in Florida and your application process mirrors our own departments. Keep up the good work! First and foremost, thank you for the feedback. It means alot. Many people are unaware of how competative and difficult it is to go through the hiring process of a police agency. We've attempted to replicate that same process here in UES. The only things we don't have are written tests and pysch evals. We'd include this but our written test is written for adults who have completed highschool and/or college. Secondly, feel free to apply if you're interested. UES has a lateral recruitment process for individuals who are sworn law enforcement personnel. (This does require providing proof that you are in fact a LEO.) You can by-pass the academy as long as you pass an evaluation. Lastly, on the topic of realism, feel free to check out our version of a CAD. The video below showcases it.

UES Roleplay 16 Posted July 6, 2014 Let me join your RP. But I have no mic unfortunately UES is open only to our own members. You must go through our hiring process and achieve "sworn" status to play. Submit an application on August 1st, 2014. While you wait, take the time to get to know about our organization. The hiring process is extremely competetive and it requires a lot of committment. The last cadet class we hired for had 64 people apply. Of those 64 that applied only 12 were accepted. universetwisters 31,580 Posted July 6, 2014 . Minorities and females are encouraged to apply. Is there a quota you're trying to meet? I remember back in the days of GTA 4, I was in a roleplaying thing for a day and I hated it. Being a civilian, you had to follow all the crazy rules the cops gave you, and even as a cop you had to be crazy anal about the codes you use and stuff. Looking back on it, it reminds me of this comic I read:

Our hiring process and training eliminates the need for hundreds of rules. Members are not required to be on for games every day we have them and they are not required to log into our website everyday. We are extremely leniant when it comes to inactivity. We understand that this is just a game and that real life is more important. However, we emphasize strongly on professionalsim, realism, organization, and many other qualities. Members are also not required to use codes. The phonetic alphabet is a must, however. Edited July 6, 2014 by UES Roleplay

UES Roleplay 16 Posted July 7, 2014 would you're cew ever be down to roleplay with a mafia/crime crew? Unfortunately no. The only individuals we operate with are our own staff. Combined role-plays with other crews/clans/organizations never work.

Combined role-plays with other crews/clans/organizations never work. You would be surprised. We did a collaboration with another crew once when they needed a law enforcement clan to assist in a video series they were making. It turned out rather nice. Would love to do more in the future. In our experience, doing an actual combined role-play with other crews/clans/organizations doesn't work. It is not that the actual role-plays are impossible. it's just not ideal considering the difference between our organization and many others. There is a key differences in role-play methods, role-play experience, and member discipline. These differences can be so great that, at times, it makes it impossible to have a realistic, professional, and organized role-play.

We have pretty much the same mind-set when it comes to our actual official role-play patrols. The video collaborations we did were not official role-play patrols, but rather a video shoot that was semi-scripted (we were given few guidelines and set free to take it from there). We aren't against interacting with the community. It's just the combined role-plays that we prefer not to take part in. What's the name of the video you guys helped create? Also, what console do you operate on?

This video was actually a last minute collaboration and overall turned out pretty decent for our first collaboration of this type. Sadly due to a limited number of screen recorders in the session there are some parts that were awesome, but did not get recorded. Other things to note is at the end of the episode when we ruff up the suspect, that was something they wanted in the video. As far as console, currently we only operate on the PS3. In the future we plan on broadening our platform reach, but for now we are sticking with one console so we can fine-tune everything.
