Ok guys I have finally gotten the hats and shirt for my Male Character in Slot 2(Rank 100)[PS3]

 

(P.S. He DID NOT get the "Belle" T-shirt first, my Female character in slot 1(rank156) did.)

 

-How to Unlock the Beer Hats and "Statue of Happiness" T-Shirt:

(PS3 and Purportedly Xbox 360)(REVISED as of 7/7/14 10:08pm CST)

(Now includes: How to Unlock Verified Created Job R* T-Shirt Glitch)

*You CAN Only get the 1st four(4) beer hats right NOW, the J Lager and Blarneys hats are currently impossible to get legit or through glitching(Except ISO Modding Crate Drops).*

 

If you want to insure that this is a 100% method, and not have to worry about the slot, gender, or which got what first, then you will want to grab a "Special Crate Drop" IMMEDIATELY before you start this Exploit,

 

This Version CAN be done with BOTH of your characters, I HAVE successfully used it to get all four(4) obtainable Beer Hats and the "Statue of Happiness " T-Shirt for BOTH of my characters, BUT I had to get a "Special Crate Drop" with the character doing the exploit before it would work,

(Female Characters have a "off the shoulder" "Statue of Happiness" Shirt instead of a T-shirt.)

Anyways lets move on...

~Ok first, and hardest you MUST obtain a "Special Crate Drop"

~Once you have collected a "Special Crate Drop" during the Event the rest is a breeze,

*AT THIS POINT YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT NEITHER OF YOUR CHARACTER HAS A PERSONAL VEHICLE OUTSIDE OF THEIR GARAGE.(Make sure that ALL of their Vehicles are parked inside of their garage(s).)*

-Restart Point-(This is the point to restart the exploit if the exploit has worked for you, if this is your first pass through ignore it.)

~Then pause the game and go to "Online">"Swap Characters" and switch to your other character,

~Once the character is loaded, pause the game and and go to "Online">"Leave GTA Online",

~Once back in Single Player hold the "PS button" and select "Quit Game",

~Then when you are in the PS3 XMB, wait for the GTAV symbol to load up(the music will start playing also), then start up GTA V into Single Player,

(Do all of the following steps AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, as not to let ANY Alerts or Messages Load or Pop-Up)

*You want the "New Weapons..." and "New Vehicles..." Alerts to NOT pop up until you get load up the Character receiving the Hat/Shirt, IF the Alerts pop up in Single Player then the Glitch WILL NOT work and you need to start over.*(The Alerts are in the pic below, and this is how they should appear in Online when you load your character receiving the Hat.)

(These Alerts will actually show up AFTER the "Crate Contents:_____" Alert.)

~Once Single Player is loaded, pause the game and and go to "Online">"Play GTA Online">"Invite Only Session" to start and invite only session,

~Then when the "Invite Only Session" has loaded(you will currently be on the character you are NOT getting the hat or shirt for),

~Then pause the game and go to "Online">"Swap Characters" and switch to your other character(the one that already got a "Special Crate Drop" from the Event Weekend),(Do this very quickly, it should be done so quickly that your characters should not even show up on the swap character screen 0nly their names and ranks.)

~Okay, then when your character starts to load, just before you can see your character and for a few seconds after you will see a message above your HUD stating "Crate Contained: ________ Hat/Shirt", this means that you have NOW unlocked that item,

(From here on you can slow back down, no need to rush now.)

~Now, you go right ahead and check your inventory and check out what you were given,

(Sometimes you WILL be given the same items you already had, don't feel to bad, this happens even if you were chasing the crates.)

~Then when you are ready to do it again, hold "Select/Back" to open your "Interaction Menu" and go to "Inventory">"Accessories">"Hats" and set "Hats" to "None" and go back to the Red "-Restart Point-" marker above and start there,

~Enjoy!

Tips:

-IF this still isn't working one last thing you can try is switching your characters rolls, by this I mean have other character trying to receive the Hats, or try getting another "Special Crate Drop" and starting over that way.

-When you unlock the "Statue of Happiness" T-Shirt it DOES NOT go into your inventory, instead you MUST go to a "Clothing Store" and purchase it for "FREE", and once it has the Check mark by it then it will be in your inventory.

-When I did the glitch for my first character(the male in slot 2) they were dressed as below.\/

-When I did the glitch for my second character(the female in slot 1) they were dressed as below.\/

-The Beer Hats and the "Statue of Happiness" T-Shirt will continue to drop in "Special Crate Drops" until the end of 1.15, and they WILL be releasing the other 2 hats at some point because they mention "6 different Beer Hats".

How to Unlock Verified Created Job R* T-Shirt Glitch-

This is very simple,

~First, you need to have the "Gusenberg Sweeper", IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IF READ THE "Tips" AT THE BOTTOM,

~Then you must go into an "Open Free Roam Online Session" and simply Kill another player,(even a friend will work)

~Now you will get a notice above your HUD stating you have unlocked the "Verified R* T-Shirt",

(This T-Shirt is normally unlocked by having one of you created Jobs verified by R*)

~Enjoy!

(You MUST repeat this for each of your characters if you have 2, they shorts are green for male characters and red for female characters.)

The "verified r* t-shirt" also comes if u kill someone with the combat mg, which i can drop for u or u can pick u in a survival

Tips:

~If you DO NOT have access to the "Gusenberg Sweeper" you can try a few of the methods below:(Not 100%)

1. Kill another player(preferably one that has unlocked the t-shirt themselves already) with a "Combat MG", Which can be found and brought out of a survival, or dropped by a friend.

 

2. Kill another player(preferably one that has unlocked the t-shirt themselves already) with a "Sticky Bomb", Which can be found and brought out of a survival, or dropped by a friend.

 

3. Kill another player that is wearing one of the "Verified R* T-Shirts" themselves.

STILL NOT WORKING... BOTH CHARACTERS ARE NOT WEARING ANY HAT, AND WEARING normal colthes (even not come from any dlc.) still got RP everytime

Well I actually got my first legitimate beer hat last night!

 

Felt sorry for the poor sod who bet me to the drop site (the construction site of mirror park) and landed themselves in the middle of a gang fight!

 

They were soooooo close to touching the crate before the gang members merked them...

All of these thing especially the mask and swapping back to the same character have screwed me up, and in no way, shape, or form would it work if you swapped back to the same character because you had not left online or turned the game off. As far as it being super simple well by the 77 pages on the subject, I'd say, evidently its not, while I have gotten all of mine, many people have not, and all this post will do is confuse them. And as far as the loading back up phase I have personally tested the "New Content"(Weapons & Vehicle) alert thing and on My PS3 and in My experiences if I got that alert in SP or on the 1st Online Character the I got NO HAT(or Shirt). So I am glad to hear it was so easy for you, but if someone has bothered to read these 77 pages they aren't having the same luck, so give them helpful advice not advice that will inevitably make it harder for them to reach their goal. And yes I am "talking" about PS3, that is why the method has "(PS3)" in the title, but it turns out it may also work for Xbox360 users as well.

 

 

Um, first of all, I was trying to be helpful by letting people know what won't stop the hats from spawning so they wouldn't have to do steps that really didn't matter or stress out on stuff that had no bearing. I know I found it very helpful when some one mentioned they didn't have to delete the update to get it to work (that stopped me from having to do one step that made it take longer). And then also when some one mentioned he didn't have to turn off the PS3 (less strain on my PS3). So I found the same advice helpful myself. And I wanted to add my other experiences so people could see what also didn't stop it from happening.

 

The fact that I could get it to work while doing that would probably state those steps aren't what is stopping the hats and shirt from spawning (and yes, I did actually tell it to swap from char a to char a and then to b and it still spawned me a hat on b. Seems the biggest thing is you have to switch from a to b after you start the game, you can't have run b anytime before switching back to b).

 

And I was one person who couldn't get a hat to spawn no matter how many times I tried. The one thing that changed was me obtaining a special crate. After that it worked 100% of the time (long as I actually quit the game and restarted it before switching from a to b).

 

Anyways, you could politely disagree rather than biting my head off.

Managed to finally get a special crate, at the exact moment I picked it up my guy was sent flying across the map, I spawned in the middle of nowhere at the top of the map. (meanwhile everyone in the lobby left)Then I fell to my death as I hit the water so hard it sent me to the bottom killing me before I could swim up. I spawned in my garage. I then proceeded to go to a clothing store. And I have unlocked every single special item. All beer hats and special shirts. Even a few special shirts I've never seen before (for example: one of them is completely black but on the front it has bold yellow letters saying FLASH)

 

 

I'm not complaining.

We must be talking about two different methods, lol, I guess that's where the misunderstanding came from, The tutorial I wrote on page 67("http://gtaforums.com/topic/721356-gtao-beer-hat-glitch/page-67?do=findComment&comment=1065739833") always said you MUST have gotten a "Special Crate Drop" from the event(which I will now change to DLC) and it has NEVER involved any steps about deleting ANYTHING. So I guess that could explain the misunderstanding. I hope all of the advice provided by everyone on this thread help all of the players reach their goal here, and I do thank you for participating and contributing and not just sitting in the background.

I just fired up GTA Online and it went to my main character but all the Independence Day hats were missing, the 4 beer ones and the stars+stripes themed ones I'd bought from the mask shop.

 

So I switched to my 2nd character, quit out of the game, deleted the Independance DLC and restarted, then once online switched back to my main character and thankfully all the hats returned.

 

 

I hope this means I don't loose them for good when the Independance Day add-on comes to an end and they take the fireworks away.

I've tried PS3 method 2, 3 times. I know this idn't a 100% sure method, but will it work sometimes? Did someone do it on ps3 with method 2??

Finally just got the statue of happiness shirt. It was the last thing I needed and it took me at least 20 tries. 2nd method on PS3 worked like a charm for me. I did it quicker as well, load onto your character you don't want the hat and go back to single player. Exit the game and just start the game again and go through the process without turning off the console. The turning off the console part is pointless.

Seems overly complicated the way some people are doing it (especially uninstalling/reinstalling the update). Here's what I did and it worked just fine (on XBOX):

 

My main character is male, my second one is female; I made sure both had nothing on their heads and both had "last location" as spawn point. Both had their vehicles with them (so I don't think that matters). My main character had gotten a special crate drop ages ago, but not my second character.

 

With that in mind, the following was very simple and easy.

 

1. Start GTA from dashboard, loading into story mode.

 

2. Pause, Online, Choose Character, select female secondary character.

 

3. Load into GTA:O, Pause, Online, Switch Character, select main character.

 

4. Load into GTA:O, ---> Crate Item Unlocked!

 

5. Pause, Online, Quit GTA Online, go back to story mode.

 

6. Exit to dashboard.

 

7. Repeat steps 1 - 6.

 

Every time I got a message that a crate item was unlocked. I got the (in order) Supa Wet, Patriot, and Benedict beer hats. Fourth time I tried it, it repeated the Benedict hat, fifth time it repeated the Patriot hat. So I stopped doing it, since I realized pretty quickly the only beer hat I like is the Patriot one, and even then, I only wore it for about 5 seconds before I decided it made my character look like a complete knob. So even though I have them, I will in all likelihood, never actually ever wear them. So, no point in continuing trying to get the other hat(s).

I was only able to get 3 beer hats and the shirt. my roommate got 4 hats and the shirt and both of us unlocked the same hats multiple times thus only having 3 and 4 hats respectively.

 

Like I said the theory on how many hats a day they were releasing throughout the weekend was only speculation. sorry to anybody who misunderstood that.

This method worked for me like a charm. My main character had a hat on and both had a vehicle with them and it worked fine - just don't try it in your garage and set both characters to 'last location' then follow these simple steps (SEXBOX). I did complete the steps quickly, but I lagged a bit once and it still went through.

 

I already picked up the red and blue hats through drops this weekend, but I wanted the shirt too and I have yet to see another special drop this week. It took me 3 tries to get it so I can't complain.

Got my first special crate tonight on the first try.

 

Got the Supa-Wet yellow hat. I wanted the red one so I'll have to try the glitch.

 

One point of clarification: If I have two male characters, will this still work?

1. Start GTA from dashboard, loading into story mode.

 

2. Pause, Online, Choose Character, select female secondary character.

 

3. Load into GTA:O, Pause, Online, Switch Character, select main character.

 

4. Load into GTA:O, ---> Crate Item Unlocked!

 

5. Pause, Online, Quit GTA Online, go back to story mode.

 

6. Exit to dashboard.

 

7. Repeat steps 1 - 6.

 

 

This method worked for me like a charm. My main character had a hat on and both had a vehicle with them and it worked fine - just don't try it in your garage and set both characters to 'last location' then follow these simple steps (SEXBOX). I did complete the steps quickly, but I lagged a bit once and it still went through.

 

I already picked up the red and blue hats through drops this weekend, but I wanted the shirt too and I have yet to see another special drop this week. It took me 3 tries to get it so I can't complain.

Okay when you say "regardless of sex" do you mean like they can both be the same sex as in Male and Male or do you mean that it simply doesn't matter whether you are using a male or female to do the glitch?

Frustrated this hasn't worked for me. I tried to obtain the hat and shirt legit first but it's been no luck. I opened a special crate and only got minigun ammo and $5k. I've sat in countless lobbies and to only get one working special crate, that doesn't even have the stuff they said it would, is a slap in the face. And this is over a week now.

 

So then I tried the glitch about 3 times. No luck. On PS3 btw.

I'll give you my experience with this, if it helps. I have two female characters. I was able to do the glitch on the one that captured a special crate. The other female I don't even use or care about, so I haven't tried to glitch for that.character.
