GTAO Beer Hat Glitch

I just got the easiest special crate ever. I took out the dudes guarding it and realized not a single player was anywhere near me. I just started taking selfies by the crate before picking it up. lol

 

is it bad that i've never had any sort of fight with someone over a special or reg crate? I've never thought about taking a selfie with it...

No, public lobbies. I can't say for sure it's impossible to get a crate drop in a invite-only, but your best chance is public lobbies.

The one I picked up a little while ago did have a green circle, it's just very brief. You might have just missed the circle, it doesn't show up until a few seconds before the crate is dropped. It's not there as long as the green circle for the regular crates.

Edit: Just got the pisswasser hat. MathieuReckless method confirmed to be working on my end. (Make sure second character is a female.)

Edit 2: Just got the benedict(my favorite), glitch is working flawlessly so far.

Edit 3: On my 3rd try I got the liberty T shirt. 1 hat to go!

Edit 4: A few more tries and I still haven't got that elusive supa wet.

Edit 5: Got the last hat. it took quite a bit of tries though.

Oh yes it shows up as the plane is flying in for a few seconds. But there's been a change.

Easiest way iz to email cockstar and tell them you had it and it suddenly disappeared. They will then "look into it" and come back saying they couldnt find the cause of it but they have given you a replacement. I have done this so many times and it always works.

The first beer hat I got was the pisswasser one. But then, I collected another special crate and it GAVE ME THE SAME PISSWASER BEER HAT! What a complete RIP OFF.

 

I was under the impression it would give you a hat you didn't already have, not waste your time with unusable duplicates -__-

 

All I want is the shirt anyways... Who cares about the hats.

I just got the glitch to work for both characters!!

 

it's basically fennimoe method but right before doing it I got a special crate. It was my third legit one and all of them contained patriot hats. Then I decided to just try glitch one more time and I got a pisswasser hat, then supa wet, and two more patriots so far.

 

I also omitted the step where you have to turn off the console (ps3). My character was wearing that patriot beanie if that makes any difference. Previous attempts he was wearing patriot beer hat.

Can't get the shirt at all

My friend did it just by doing the following (PS3):

 

• Switch to character #2.
• Quit out of GTAO via the pause menu (apparently it's important you do it this way).
• Quit GTA V.
• Turn off PS3.
• Load GTAO back into Invite Only.
• Switch to character #1.

He thinks he got two extra hats and the Liberty t-shirt from this but he's not sure because the stuff doesn't show up right away. He would receive RP as soon as he loaded up character #1 but there was a delay of a few hours or something before the 'Crate Contents' notice popped up with the merchandise.

 

Also, the video or whatever he got the method from was adamant that it only worked with a female character #2. That part sounded like total BS to me gut my friend's second character just so happens to be female; furthermore, the method didn't work for me with my two male characters.

 

If I was going to pursue this though, I'd probably go ahead and delete my second character for a female, rather than uninstalling the data a bunch of times.

I think that's a necessary part. I had two male characters and none of the methods had worked for me in the last two days. I made my second character to a female to give it a shot and it worked. I got one of the hats the first time and then the shirt.

Good News for PS3 Users

OMG, Guys the Glitch DOES work for both characters,("http://gtaforums.com/topic/721356-gtao-beer-hat-glitch/page-67?do=findComment&comment=1065739833"), I WILL post pics to prove it when I am done, the only catch is you MUST start the glitch right after you get a "Special Crate Drop", after I got all 4 hats and the shirt for my male character I decided to try to get them for my female character the legit way and I got 1, finally, and by that time I had decided to just give the glitch a simple 1 time try and it worked the first time. I had got the Pisswasser hat legit and the got the Benedict hat with the glitch. I will re-revise the tutorial and post proof pics as soon as I have all 5 things for my female character.

 

*Edit

I just got the T-Shirt, only 2 left and I will have all 5 for both, and so far only twice has it repeated for her.

 

P.S.

The Character that I have finished getting the items with already is wearing the shirt and a beer hat while I do the glitch, so I don't think it matters, but you may want to have your wearing them to. BUT make sure that the one getting them has NOTHING on their head and NO "special" shirts on.

Just go the patriot hat, once I get the supa wet, I will be re-revising the tutorial and posting pics.

For those Xbox users struggling to achieve a special crate which is required to perform the glitch, your only hope to getting the hat is to do it legit so I'll be hosting a 4 person invite only session where each person will achieve a beer hat from an actual special crate, I will be hosting this lobby sometime later today and if you would like an invite add and message my GT- HazeyBeef

Please have a working mic to make the process go by quicker
