GTAO Beer Hat Glitch

For those Xbox users struggling to achieve a special crate which is required to perform the glitch, your only hope to getting the hat is to do it legit so I'll be hosting a 4 person invite only session where each person will achieve a beer hat from an actual special crate, I will be hosting this lobby sometime later today and if you would like an invite add and message my GT- HazeyBeef

Please have a working mic to make the process go by quicker

I think I'll just give up on the search for the special crates. Whenever I try to go to GTA Online (not Invite only), the servers place me in a session where I'm by myself. After this happens, I go try and find a new session so I get placed into lobbies with other people, but it just gives me a "failed to find a GTA Online session error message." If the event continues till mid-July, I'll probably try a few more lobbies, but as of now, I'm gonna give up.

Rockstar should've used a less bugged feature to distribute limited edition items.

 

Good luck to those who are still searching for the special crates. Hope you guys find them in the near future.

Edit after seeing the post above: Oh my god, wait, they spawn in invite only sessions too??? If this is true, it has given me new hope lol. Any other PS3 players struggling to find the special crates too? PM me so we can look for them together. As pathetic as it may seem for me to ask people to help out, I'm this close |.| (that dot) to giving up

No, you can't buy the beer hats and the Statue of Independence shirt from the shops unless Rockstar have suddenly unlocked it all given the amount of "glitching" going on..

 

... but I seriously doubt that...

 

on the subject of crates.. they're the joke they've always been.. I got on top of the drop site for a special crate and lo and behold it wasn't there...

 

then had a few instances where the crate drop countdown ended and nothing appeared..

 

Typical really. so that's why I'm more than happy to "glitch" this one...

OK, just tried this a couple times (SeaWall's method) and didn't get it to work.

 

Character 1 is male, Character 2 is female.

 

I was able to get everything for my female character using the first two methods for PS3... I had gotten 3 special crate drops since 1.15 with her (Shirt, Supa Wet Hat, shirt). I had the Los Santos Belle shirt unlocked well before this weekend.

 

My male character also has the Los Santos Belle shirt and has collected 2 special crates since 1.15 (got my 2nd on him, 5th overall about an hour ago). Both of his crates contained the Patriot hat.

 

Trying to get a "complete set" for my male, while I already have the set for my female. That was why I tried this method.

 

The only popup I noticed was on my female character (in invite only, before switching to my male) was stating that I had x amount of friends online... Dunno if that can even be bypassed, as I was mashing the start button...

 

Can anyone confirm that this works on a character, if the other character already has all of the items...? Or, do we still need a way to get them onto both chars?

I don't believe you can glitch any of the items for the second(not slot, in the glitch) character, it seems to only work for the first character to have obtained a "Special Crate Drop" with a Hat or Shirt, because while I was uble to do the glitch with my male in slot 2, it was my female in slot o2 that had first obtained a "Special Crate Drop" and a "Belle" T-Shirt in her Career. But I would love to know if you find an answer to this because I too want to finish the collection for my female character in slot 1.

It seemed to help me, but I still had to try 2 more times, but some people are saying to have on the "Verified R*" or "Belle" T-Shirt will help, but IDK for sure

Btw to all: the glitch works w/o having to turn your ps3 off and back on but dashboarding/going to xmb is still necessary

See but here is the twist, just in my case but I am sure of what I am saying;

Okay I am able to do the glitch with my Male Character in Slot 2(Created in Nov.) he got the Belle T-Shirt this weekend, however my female in slot 1(created in Oct) got the Belle T-Shirt in Oct. and I CANNOT do the glitch with her. I tried for almost 30+hrs(IRL) and final tried swapping their rolls in the glitch and it worked right away. So all I could figure is that because I got a "Special Crate Drop" containing the Belle and one containing a Hat(legit) with my male character and NONE with my female(since only god knows when), that maybe it isn't the first character to get a Belle T-Shirt, instead it maybe the first character to have gotten a "Special Crate Drop" During this event, or perhaps maybe even the fact that I obtained the "Special Crate Drop" During this event before having done the glitch is what made it possible for my male in slot 2 and no longer for my female in slot 1. BUT truly IDK, all I know is NOW my Male has all 4 Obtainable hats and the T-Shirt.

OMFG, I forgot to mention this anywhere,I never got the glitch to work UNTIL I made sure neither character had a PV outside of the garage. IDK if it makes a difference or NOT but what would it hurt, so make sure that all of your characters cars are parked in the garage.

It is so hard to get a legit crate. I was lucky enough to see my 4th since October tonight. Of course some lvl 315 moron entered the circle before the crate dropped and glitched it!

And your cars and place where you stay doesn't have anything in common when it comes to glitch.

I have been online fore the better part of 3 days and i have only seen ONE special crate... In a lobby with 6 tanks on my nuts.. Couldnt get away in time because i dont do passive mode.

Is there any way to coerce the special drops?
