well radshad at least we can tell ourselves we got our hats legit when everyones wearing these tomorow. pathetic guys really sad when you all give up so quickly thanks for devaluing awsome hats. you should all be ashamed of yourselves!

 

How are you getting them legitimately? Through crate drops? Because I played for two hours straight in Free Mode and never even got one crate drop. I rarely see crate drops at all. I don't see why Rockstar couldn't just make them a little easier to get. There is a point where gamers will say "f**k it" and stop playing. $56k for a rocket launcher we don't get to keep … and now this? lol

About to have everything available from this method, 1 hat to go. Patriot.

Glad to see method 2 for PS3 works a treat, this changes my time between attempts from 15-20 minutes down to 5.

I have never seen a pic of it, but it's in the coding Apperantly the proof is there. Can anyone confirm having the j lager?

oh and once i had both charachters set at last location i kept getting items back to back and it was working evrytime

my main slot is 1 and male i made a female in the second slot she didnt need to get any crates or do any missions and it worked for me on ps3 for 2 hats then stopped until i went to the store to buy the special shirt then the other two hats spawned no problem

When I switch back to my main, it says her car has been destroyed, when it hasn't and nothing else. I check in the interactive menu and the shop and nothing new there.

 

Bah, I just wanted one beer hat. lol oh well.

Is it required to have picked up a special crate legit to get this to work? My character does have crates unlocked, I already did a mission for both Ron and Trevor, I've gotten the phone call from Ron about crates, though I have not done Satellite Communications, Is that needed also? However, every time I attempt the method, I only get RP. I've seen some members mention having to have gotten a special crate legit, would this be a majority agreement? I have my main character who is a level 190+, a male, in the 1st slot and a female character, solely for this, in slot 2 and is level 1.

I had the same problem and after I did

satelite communications I got a special crate 10 mins later. Havent retried the glitch tho

Xbox 360 confirmed.... Just worked no prob.

I had to make a new character as I only have the one main guy.

Back to single player, then to dashboard

Delete independence day dlc

Fire gta back up, let it go into single player

Start invite only session, accept you need to download the dlc and go into in-game store

Download dlc, continue into online with "dummy" character

Pause, swap character, choose your main character

Now check your closet, that's how it worked for me.

Set your main character spawn to your apartment for ease.

Be sure to follow each step every time. I am only getting one item at a time so there is that...

PS3 Utility Save Data i don't have the 1.15 Install the only thing i have that says install is from 1/7/14..

 

It's around 8400 MB is that all of the DLCs combined or something?

You wanna look in Game Data Utility, not Saved Data Utility... Deleting Saved Data will erase any progress you've made in the story mode...

That's the wrong file. It should be about 450mb which is ALL the DLC in one file

You wanna look in Game Data Utility, not Saved Data Utility... Deleting Saved Data will erase any progress you've made in the story mode...

Yeah that's where i deleted it from...I made a typo i meant the GUS but in my Game Utility i only had that one "Install" nothing else and it was suppose to say 8400MB not GB
