GTAO Beer Hat Glitch

Is it working on 360 for anyone?

I've had absolutely no luck with it, and I've been trying for hours. It seems as if it's really selective, it works for some and not for others.

Do my method, I found accidentally the method which you use a girl as a 2nd Char in Slot 2.

Same here I can't get the Benedict one

 

All I keep getting is the Benedict one lol, like 5 times in a row... I just have the blue one left to get

 

Seems like 1 is missing from everyone that sucks

Done both methods for PS3, got my second character to unlock crate drops, deleted him, turned him into a girl.

 

Still doesn't work.

 

I really don't want to level this chick up to get crate drops cause I don't think that will work either.

 

Damn Rockstar, all I wanted was a beer hat. Why couldn't you just sell a plain white one in the store and leave the rest of these for crate drops

Have you tried getting one special crate drop legit?

 

I've gotten a special crate before, a really long time ago.

 

And I've spent half the day trying to get a special crate. I've only seen one and it spawned right when I entered the lobby so someone else got it.

 

And I've gone to stores to see if I've got anything, that hasn't worked either.

 

I'm just not meant to have one I guess.

 

 

Try getting a special crate legit then do the ps3 method two that worked for me

I said I would try it and post results a while back but I got carried away with my new character. Can confirm that it works, I got a patriot beer hat doing the standard Xbox 360 method. Thanks very much guys

Having 2 players of the same sex doesn't work, so in your case you will need a female character

I just get RP on my main after trying the glitch but nothing else in my inventory, wardrobe, or new puchases in clothes store.

FINALLY!!!! Got it from a crate along with 10,000 RP a minigun and a shirt unlock. So satisfying, now I will try to see if I can get it though the unofficial means

I can confirm that it helps. I was only getting RP before, then I got my first SPECIAL crate now the PS3 method is working

Yes I believe for ps3 thats exactly what you need to do plus female second character. For xbox idk I think the issue is not getting your first item from a special crate. This makes ALOT of sense to me.

I was session hopping for 6 hours and not one speacial event crate spawned I give up on this hat rockstar shouldn't use a system that is messed up for speacial events

Yep, you do not get anything sometimes. You just have to keep trying.

As stated above, you may have needed to already have had a special crate before.

I have a female character in slot 1, male in slot 2. I got all 4 and t-shirt one after another for my female but not my male. i actually got the patriot hat on tuesday without even trying this glitch (accidentally did it because I remember roughly following these steps when I logged in). Really wish it would work on my male...

So, I've gotten the Statue Of Happiness tee, the Pisswasser, Benedict, and Patriot beer hat.

But the last three times I've tried I get nothing. I guess the game doesn't want me to get the yellow beer hat.

Guys do Noe's (Page 13) method and set your spawn location to last location because it doesn't work in Apartments.

You don't need to have hats or masks, I tried it and got the rest of the hats.

Also, The happiness shirt doesn't unlock after you get all the 4 shirts, I got 2 hats and still got it.

I tried this and received the rockstar v-neck. My 2nd slot character hasn't finished the race with lamar. I don't know if any of that matters. Only tried it once.

I will mention that my second character is female

Since I got it to work on xbox I will share what I did.

I was not in an apartment, just last location outside.

 

Exact steps I did.

 

1: Stand around outside with spawn set to last location.

2: Switch to the character you don't want hat on. (For me that was the secondary.)

3: Once secondary character loads into the game, wait a moment and dashboard. (I didn't go back to single player first.)

4: Go to system and delete the independence day DLC from hard drive.

5: Start game back up.

6: Don't load single player, press A to load online.

7: Download DLC when prompted.

7a: I don't know if its important but I am including everything. I watched the download bar as it downloaded.

8: At this point it either puts me into a public game or says I can't connect and takes me back to single player, (Both times have worked now.)

8a: If you go back to single player, load up a random public game by hitting go to online on start menu.

9: Once secondary character has loaded into game, Swap to character you want hat on.

10; If it works, You will see a popup in the bottom left corner. "Crate Contents (insert hat here)"

11: Open inventory and put on new hat.

 

It has worked twice for me now.

 

I have a male primary and female secondary.

 

Some wanted to know what I was wearing at the time.

 

No hat at the time of doing it.

No mask at the time of doing it.

 

Orange Guns glasses.

Black scarf.

Burgundy Tucked shirt.

Black armor.

Black Camo Cargo Pants.

Black work boots.

Just wanted to know if this worked for others as well.

I did it awhile ago and tested it just now to get a third hat.
