GTAO Beer Hat Glitch

people really want these hats this bad!? i got the pissawaser (whatever its called) one in a crate and tried it on my guy once and ill probably never put it on again. just kinda stupid looking. i get these are rare but once all you guys have them from glitching, there won't be a point of wearing one anymore.

just like how they all glitched all their cars and money

 

Maybe we should just let Rockstar extort money from us by nerfing any legitimate ways to make money, thus forcing us to buy Shark cards to buy anything in game.

I have 4 hats and the shirt. Still not sure about the last 2 hats, if they even exist but All I do is the OPs method(For xbox). My main character is in my second slot and its a female. My first slot is a level 1 male. For the female I wore the crown, the new liberty dress + the independence skirt. The new blue sparkling high heels with the Star glasses.

first try= success

second= success

third= success

4th= fail

5th=fail

6th=fail

7th=success

8th= success.

Im still trying for those last 2 beer hats but I dont think they're in the game.

Would the slots have any effect on this? My male character is in slot 1 (main) while my 2nd character, a female, is in slot 2.

You might need a brand new female character, I have to delete her and make a new female each time.

If the special crates spawned like they should then I wouldn't be bothering with this at all. At the end of the day people like collecting stuff.

 

 

 

This^ I wouldn't be glitching them in if crates dropped like they "are supposed to."

 

I got one special crate on tuesday, and I wasn't even going to bother with it because normally getting a special crate in a full lobby is a nightmare, but I said f*ck it and ended up getting the stupid shirt which I'll never wear in the first place.

 

At the end of the day, glitching or not, I'd rather be happy with the game then pissed because I'm broke, don't have nice cars, and don't have a f*cking beer hat for the 4th!

They're free, but you. An on,y get them in special crate drops

You don't buy them. You collect the hats and shirt from special crates, which half the time, are glitched and etc. Hence why everyone is doing this method.

I'm pretty sure that 4 hats are only available until mid July. So far everyone who has them have been the same. Patriot, Pisswasser, Yellow, and Green lol

I only played through the story once on a borrowed ps3. I don't remember most of the game. Don't care for the t-shirt though, I just want a beer hat. I'm not American so most of the clothing in this update doesn't really speak to me.

Thank you general clay for being so descriptive. Anyone else on the xbox want to share their successful stories to help others?

 

1.I switched to my 2nd character which is in slot 2

2. Once it loaded me into a lobby, I dashboarded and deleted the independence day pack from the hard drive and also cleared the cache on device options

3 Booted the game and let it load me into single player then pressed start and went on xbox store and downloaded the new pack

4. Joined a online lobby waited for it to load and then went on swap character to my main one which is in slot 1.

5. Got the message on the left corner of the screen which said content crate added or something. I then went to the clothing store to check what I had unlocked.

 

Then I switched back to my 2nd character (slot 2) and once I was in a lobby again, I dashboarded and repeated these steps

Oh my god it worked!! For anyone having trouble do this and make a second female character! Thabks so much!!! I got patriot beer hat. I just have one question after you repeat this do you clear cache again or no?

CONGRATS I know you and I have been trying to figure this out since page like 17. I will deleted second character and make a female second character

 

 

 

Oh forgot to mention, my character in slot 1 is male and in slot 2 is female. It seems like you need to have one of each for this to work as some of you have had trouble getting it to work if you have 2 characters of the same sex.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I want to own every stitch of clothing in the game for male and females. I have literally bought everything that there is to offer, clothing-wise, regardless of whether I use it or not... Kinda silly to some, but I would be buying these if they were available in the stores, too.

 

I'm also against money glitches, or bringing in a car from SP to MP, with the intent to sell it for cash. My position on that is well-documented. Personally, this is a bit different, because:

 

1: Owning these offers no advantage whatsoever. They are only cosmetic.

 

2: I've collected multiple special crates (4 since 1.15) and have gotten duplicates as mentioned before. Not really fair, unless they let us keep the duplicates and have the ability to "trade" them to other players for other items to complete a collection. it's hard enough collecting a special crate that, unless we already own everything acquirable by them, we should be getting no "duplicates."

 

3: Since 1.15 hit, I have been switching rooms with the explicit purpose of looking for crates. I go after every one I see, whether it's green or gold. I'd estimate that, at least 75% of the time I get a message regarding a crate, the thing fails to drop. As I said, I managed to get 4 special crates (and many green crates) in the past two days, but there have been many MANY more times where the crate simply doesn't drop, on regular and special crates. This has been the case for a long while regarding crates and it still isn't resolved. To offer something for a limited time and only able to get it in a way that actually works maybe 25% of the time is pretty weak, especially, again, since it is possible to get the same item you already have multiple times.

 

Again, I can only speak for myself, but if the crates actually worked when advertised, or, you were guaranteed to get an item that you didn't already own, I wouldn't even be looking for an alternate way to get them. I personally love collecting crates and am pretty good at doing it, as I have the platinum troply on both characters, got the Los Santos Belle shirt on both characters and have gotten 4 special crates sine 1.15 hit, along with many other regular crates that I don't even bother to count them anymore. I've helped others get crates as well, so that they can get their platinum trophy too.

 

TL/DR: Personally, the problem isn't me getting the crates, the problem is them hardly dropping when advertised.
