Okay, now I think we got it.

 

Your secondary character HAS TO be female.

 

So if both my characters are male, I have to delete one of them?

do not delete a second charachter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It is possible you will lose all your pegasus vehicles if you do

 

I can also confirm my second charachter was female with a male as my first

 

But both my characters are male, which we now know does not work. So what do I do then if I don't want to delete either one?

 

 

I'm not sure we've confirmed both characters being male as being the reason for failing. I suppose female second characters are more common. Besides, my second character is female and it hasn't worked yet for me either.

Definitely not. My male char (slot 1) and female char (slot 2) are both over rank 150. I play them both a fair amount, so can't really call either of them my "main," although the female char is a bit ahead of the male currently.

Finally solved it for Xbox 360. Follow the original method, but make sure your second character is a female, or the opposite of the one you want the hat or shirt for.

What have we uncovered? All I remember seeing is people proposing possible things that could make it work, and then people posting they tried and still failed.

Your slot 1 char has to be female.

I think your secondary only has to be female if your main character is in slot 2

when you created the female character, did you complete the tutorial entirely? I don't know how much I have to get through in order to do this glitch (race with Lamar, doing the first Simeon mission)I skipped it

So I did this method 3 times and got patriot hat , happiness tee, and supa wet, I'm gonna try 2 more to see if I get the other 2 hats

I was wearing white eagle mask when I made a brand new female bitch in slot one. Slot two was already occupied because Rockstar deleted my man way back in October. Also don't spawn in your apartments. Go out by the golf course for both characters.

Yes, apperantly you get a random item that you would otherwise get from a crate.

Idk what all ya'll are going on about with these masks and sh*t but:

 

OP's Xbox method worked 100% for me. I just make sure I don't have a hat/mask on before I switch characters. I've been in my garage the entire time, and don't even go to my wardrobe, I just switch through hats and it's there.\

 

Might as well add that my main character is in the second slot because R* deleted my first character during the first week of online, so the first slot is in fact a female.

 

Also, I've only been able to get the Pißwasser, Benedict, Partiot, and Supa Wet.

 

I want the damn Jäger hat!

if i do the glitch again it gives same hats only 4 hats allowed and no tshirt. does tshirt need to be from crate

I'm going to give this a try on 360 and let you guys know if it worked/what I did. I've got 2 crates since yesterday, regular green ones and all I got was RP and Ammo. I'm guessing it has to be a yellow one? I haven't seen one of those in weeks. I hope Rockstar don't see this as a punishable offence. It's something that could be easily done honestly, deleting the dlc accidently or for hard drive space and then having this happen?

And even if anybody has done it money is hard to obtain legit anymore. Maybe if they had added heists money glitches would be used less

If the special crates spawned like they should then I wouldn't be bothering with this at all. At the end of the day people like collecting stuff.

Keep trying. I got the shirt the second time around so it may take a couple tries

I created a profile just to say I finally got this to work on ps3 after I got a legit special crate I used method 2 and it gave me two hats. I tired it again but it didn't work

My main character has 107 lvl (male) and my secondary has 3 lvl (female)
