GTAO Beer Hat Glitch

I've tried the second PS3 method twice. It worked both times. I got two different beer hats. I didn't have any beer hats before trying this, but I had gotten two special crate drops before the event.

was one of your character a female character? because it seems like that is a MAJOR reason some people might not be getting it work. Both my characters are male characters and i have been at this doing every method posted on here for PS3 multiple times and i have not gotten it to work.

 

SO can someone confirm that you do need at lease one female character for this glitch to work?

Which character do you want it for and what slot is it in?

I want it for my main character in slot 1.

both mine were male and Iy didn't work and as soon as a made a female it worked... I think we found this glitch out

THIS NEEDS TO BE PINNED! 100% method for 4 hats on PS3

 

1) Switch to the character you DO NOT want the hat on.

 

2) Once the characer is loaded, pause the game and leave GTA Online back into Single Player.

 

3) Once Single Player has loaded, hard press the PS3 button on the controller and select "Quit Game".

 

4) Once you are in the PS3 XMB, turn off the PS3.

 

5) Turn on the PS3 and load up GTA into Single Player.

 

6) Once Single Player is loaded, start an Invite Only Session.

 

7) Once the Invite Only Session is loaded (you will currently be on the character you are NOT getting the hat or shirt for), swap characters.

 

8) After the swap has happened, you go right ahead and check your inventory and see what hat you were given.

 

9) When you are ready to do it again, take off any hat you are wearing and start back at step 1.

Worked for me on PS3!

I am doing the EXACT same thing youre doing but all I get is a little RP. Have tried multiple times, with eagle mask or without. In my stats it says I have unlocked crate drops even though I havent actually picked one up yet. Seems to me this method only works for a limited amount of people

 

Just got this to work on ps3

make sure you hard press the pse button and quit from there and not the ps3 itself ..

also sign back in before you start gtav again

 

Works on PS3 level 1 secondary character unlocked patriot hat for my main toon.

Thank you general clay for being so descriptive. Anyone else on the xbox want to share their successful stories to help others?

 

1.I switched to my 2nd character which is in slot 2

2. Once it loaded me into a lobby, I dashboarded and deleted the independence day pack from the hard drive and also cleared the cache on device options

3 Booted the game and let it load me into single player then pressed start and went on xbox store and downloaded the new pack

4. Joined a online lobby waited for it to load and then went on swap character to my main one which is in slot 1.

5. Got the message on the left corner of the screen which said content crate added or something. I then went to the clothing store to check what I had unlocked.

 

Then I switched back to my 2nd character (slot 2) and once I was in a lobby again, I dashboarded and repeated these steps

Oh my god it worked!! For anyone having trouble do this and make a second female character! Thabks so much!!! I got patriot beer hat. I just have one question after you repeat this do you clear cache again or no?CONGRATS I know you and I have been trying to figure this out since page like 17. I will deleted second character and make a female second character

I think your secondary only has to be female if your main character is in slot 2

My second character is female and I get, "crate contents," everytime I did this. PS3 BTW. 4 hats and T-shirt.

 

It may well be worth deleting one spot and making a new female one. My female one was only rank 3 when I first got the collectables. I played one session of RR through my phone with my level 1.

Does anyone know what the equivalent of "clearing the cashe on device options" for PS3?

 

you gotta re-downaload the psn update 4.60 using a usb drive. check on psn support site

 

 

Sounds like a hassle. Since people got it to work without doing that I'll just keep trying other methods.

Do you have another character that's a female. if so than there you go, you gotta have atleast one female character for this to work. i have two male characters and i can not get any one of ps3 methods to work. been trying for 4 hours.

I can also confirm my second charachter was female with a male as my first

 

creating a second charachter also atleast doubles your crew stats on social club and you can jump up in your crew online rankings..

New as in created recently, or not very far advanced? My female character was made between December and Febuary, but she is only level 3.

I think your secondary only has to be female if your main character is in slot 2

when you created the female character, did you complete the tutorial entirely? I don't know how much I have to get through in order to do this glitch (race with Lamar, doing the first Simeon mission)

Definitely not. My male char (slot 1) and female char (slot 2) are both over rank 150. I play them both a fair amount, so can't really call either of them my "main," although the female char is a bit ahead of the male currently.

I don't know, mine was created when the Valentine's day DLC came and is now level 40. Nothing has worked for me yet.

If you want hats and shirts that badly delete one, otherwise hope you get lucky and actually get a special crate drop
