i used to have a save, in a heli above that waterfall. i tried plenty of times to chute' my way through the waterfall, even at different heights just in case the recess was elevated. i didn't have any luck, and after enough reloads i gave up.

Has anyone ever tried blocking flow of rivers with the moveable boulders? Water might glitch thru?might not... Im not i.g. Atm yet...

Also moon phase/time/weather etc may be worth investigating...

I'm sorry for ruining your night but... there's nothing behind the waterfall. I'm there right now :S

@rolf that sound mate thanks for debunking that for me im just back in the house 5 mins ago gonna load up the game just now, just out of curiosity howd you get behind the water or r u using the no water thing the pics look like you have stopped the flow of water

No problem Caudy, we are here to help.

You don't need any cheat to get in there, just luck hehe. Go to the top, if you look down you'll see a small ledge on the rocks (right side of the waterfall from the top). Position yourself on the ledge, jump to the waterfall and press circle, if you do it right, some sort of glitch will make you stay in one of the rocks behind the waterfall. Good luck!

I'm glad we're not all hopping on to next gen, I really want to know if the mystery is solveable on the ps3/xbox, as it should be.

I have tried stopping the water on the bottom river (at the small waterfall under the bridge) running from the Alamo Sea to the West coast of the map with containers, buses, campervans no luck but it wasn't easy to get everything to fall in the right place so I didn't spend to much time. I cant seam to remember what happened to the current as it was to long ago now.

I hate to be 'that guy' but...(and I wish what you are theorising to be true)
The water isnt going to be stopped or diverted unless its a scripted/programmed event. Theres no way our dated old consoles could handle that kind of physics...we would have moveable earth and dumpers that actually dump if that were possible.
Like I say, I wish it could be true but realistically, even the 4th gen consoles would struggle with that sort of thing.

The bulldozer/forklift could lift/push the smaller boulders though? I might have a dabble tomorrow myself, was thinking of asking if the file hackers could actually see any similar triggers/mundane events to do with the streams/rivers... Dont think it would be That hard? Akin to say, a tomb raider block push/pull puzzle? I did think that myself dude. Eternal optimist me lol :-D

 

 

Im not talking moving earth, just place big enough boulder at a bottle neck point maybe? It maybe one way to use some of those over elaborate storm drains/tunnels round chilly? Its probably nothing but il have a look asap tomorrow just to debunk. :-)

Yep got behind the water with rolfs directions (nice one mate) and seen with my own eyes theres nothing there so back to paleto bay with me, changed to frank before heading back to paleto and he has a myan statue in his house defo think theres something to find down the myan route.

Has anyone been in the paleto bank? seems like an enterable building but i cant get in

I dont have the filters but didnt someone say theres an infrared option? Just googled 'mayan infrared'. Apparently infrared can determine much more than visible eye and is used at mayan sites. Interesting.

Will people still hunt the mystery on the ps3/X box version of the game once next gen comes out?

My PS3 was passed to my eldest child. I'll keep the current game for my personal use/abuse

 

Not rushing while playing the new game. We all know what the final outcome should be, unless they finally add some flyable ufo as a reward

 

I'll take my time and try to keep a sharp lookout on every single detail, while loading back the appropriate PS3 save when any crosschecking will be needed.

 

Did anyone try to get in touch with Dave Dixon, the programmer whose face is on chilliad. Seems kind of odd that that would have slipped through quality control before release. Maybe it was deliberately put there for whoever found it to contact said person and receive some info pertaining to the mystery, kind of like breaking through the 4th wall of gaming to solve an ingame puzzle.

@caudy - The Paleto Bay Bank used to be accessible though I've read, a couple of months ago, that it's not anymore.

Didn't check it lately though, so I'm not sure about this.

I'm almost certain that the Paleto Bay bank used to be open. It the FlEEca bank right? I've been in there, there's a room in the back with a door w/keypad, but you can't do anything.

 

I just found out I'll be getting either a PS4 or XBone for Xmas. Now I just have to decide which one I want... so yes, I will also be hunting on CG as well as LG.

Just changed my vote from hunting to waiting, though I'll still try to check any hint that's not an obvious troll post...

 

I'm not that found of polls, though this one allowed us to know that at least 85 members still care about "The Mystery"...

Anyway, 1st things I'll check after Nov 21st (yeah, I'm not mistaken, it's just when it'll be finally released here ):

-MC Mural;

-Jp's shadow @Altruist's Camp;

-Possible ig Constelations;

-Green Light "glitch";

-Under Water ufo;

-Cobweb (under MC's shack);

-FZ Bunker - Elevator and lights on top;

-Attack and getting attacked by the Orcas and Hammerheads, maybe even some cargobobing attempts to deploy these at the Altruist's Sacrificial Stone:D

@JP - The problem ive always had is that rocks and other objects despawn when they get a certain distance from their origin. Maybe that will aid your search for the correct object but it frustrated me a fair bit.

And the Paleto Bay Bank is used in the SP heist with the 'Juggernaut' suits and the helicopter crash...The Fleeca's used to all be open but alas, no more.

I'm getting it for PS4 too. I've had my PS4 since before Xmas last year but I don't use it all that much. There are 3 PS3s in my house and around 70 games, so I'll probably trade a PS3 and some games toward some PS4 games. I'll probably keep my PS3 copy to hunt on too. I know a glitch online that can get you in just about any building with an interior. If it works on the bank I'll let you guys know or maybe make a video. I don't think I've been in there besides during the heist.

I'm getting my PS4 in 2 weeks, and at this time it's lookin' like PS4 is gonna get the good stuff in terms of GTA V. I might just ditch the PS3 for good, especially since clearly the PS4 is getting way more content.

theres a fleeca bank in downtown you can still get into it has a door with a keypad but the one at paleto is inaccesable and looks like the vault is open from the veiw from the doors which suggests it may have only been for a heist

 

@lelouch i think the blueprints resmble a rooftop layout as some of the boxes on them resemble roof ventilation so possibly able to match it up to a building from helicopter veiw

Who has confirmed that the mountain on the mural are Mount Chiliad? Rockstar? A "Deep throat"?

 

I would rather say that San Chianski Mountain Range is way far more interesting than Chiliad on this subject. So I find it weird that no one has really explore the opportunity that mountain on the mural can be San Chianski.

Think people Have compared it to other mountain ranges but of course its generally brought back to chilliad. Then there was the hunter pre-page 80, who did an Exact measurement comparative study of the mural overlayed on Mt.chill. Interesting.

What makes you think San Chianski Mountain Range is more interesting? And more importantly, how is it even related to the "mystery"?

 

Mt. Chiliad has all the Glyphs, has been matched up to the mural mountain, has a UFO that appears if you follow the clues, etc...

On the subject of other mountains...The Tataviam Range has those large white pipes that go up and over. Are they pumping water for the city or is there hydro-electric power being produced at the dam? Of course this is just late night musings but the bolts around the chiliad mural have always played on my mind.
