What's the deal with the asteroid? What do we know about it? All I know is I've seen it online glitched around Legion Square for no reason.

@Polaris - It was found in the files like the Alien Egg and the Alien Hud. Nowhere to be found as of yet.

 

Unlike the Alien Egg, the Asteroid is really big so a bit hard to miss after all this time.

If ingame, my best guess is for it to be half-buried on the bottom of the sea.

Iv always assumed the Alamo sea and other inland lakes were searched thoroughly? Cargobob or not. I searched a little.

You don't think an asteroid that big (like we saw glitched online) would've been found already, even if it was at sea? There's even a no water mod, which enables players to fully explore the sea depths thoroughly. I'm not saying I tolerate cheating, but it hasn't shown us the asteroid's location either.

 

I honestly think the asteroid has to be unlocked somehow, maybe it's part of a yet to be discovered "random event" or interior or some secret involving a scene loading. Something that needs to trigger its appearance.

Quite plausible that R* hid things when it says 'cheats activated' though. They were aware of modders/hackers someone said on here. still you'd think.

I know i'd do it. Cheats rule/ruin games and that would maintain the mystery longer. I think the jetpack cheat translating into the skyfall is either a massive fatal finger up at us or subtle hint They Know We know lol

@jph - If you're referring to my post about my guess for the Asteriod location (if ingame), I meant the sea that surrounds the island not the inner waters, sorry for not detailing it well enough.

I also think that the inner waters were fully checked, though here (http://gtaforums.com/topic/649650-cool-things-you-didnt-know-about/?p=1066344618) there's a claim that some small sunken ufo exists at the Alamo Sea. I'm still waiting for some proof of it, hence why I haven't posted it before (I also can't check for myself for the next days).

 

@polaris - I guess one could miss it underwater by disregarding it as just another rock formation (imagine that is buried at the bottom, just showing about 1/3 of it's top). I've never used the no water mod (or any other) but the videos that I saw were filmed before the Asteroid was found and probably most of those that used the mod after it was found didn't even knew the looks of it.

I'm not saying that's there, even less am I trying to send someone looking for it, it's just my best guess if it's indeed ig waiting to be found. Most likely it's not ig or, as you said, is just "waiting" to be unlocked/unleashed.

 

A bit off-topic. Some might remember the pics that I've posted long ago about the irl representation of the car+ufo on top at Probe Mt/Hippy Camp. The "famous" Unarius Cadillac:

@Sitpevy - It means there's no longer a next gen console concept. Just current gen (ie PS4) and old gen (ie PS3).

Though atm, the current game is for old gen and the future game is for current gen It's just semantic...

@Eram. I thought that after i posted , you meant that. My bad. Im terrible for assuming. I imagine the waters around island are also largely explored but like you say, whether people could distinquish difference in rock formations...who knows. Thanks for link.

Just a few questions, do we know any other ways to trigger a lightning storm aside from the cheat code and ursula (somebody also said it was possible with other dancers). Was there also a consensus on the mural having been drawn by an altruist? Kind of formulating a theory and need some info. Thanks in advance

@666 - Adding to both "cases" that you've mentioned, though lightning doesn't always happens after Ursula's event (rain does!), lightning/rain also usually happens after T's Altruist Camp Clearing.

 

Like previously said, that glokonglokon post made me wonder.

Yeah fran. Just means exact same ending whatever character is used. The same identical values, etc.

My only difference was i approached from hill above camp instead of road. But I Was Michael. I think if i wasnt 100%, i wasnt far from.

Well there is a fan theory that Fruntalot clothing is CJs business. A character who looks exactly like CJ appears on a billboard in Algonquin in IV for the brand, this is where the theory originates.

 

 

Something else you might care to know is that Kendl always encouraged CJ to invest in real estate throughout the story, according to Cesar she has a real good mind for business. In GTA V there is a real estate company called "Johnson's Real Estate" I sort of wondered if this was a nod to that perhaps.

 

In an update about that bloody room, you can see from the location icon that it is located in (or under I suppose) Legion Square where Barry hands out the reefers.

His account is that he fell under the map in Paleto after crashing his bike into a wall. He landed in an L shaped room with an invisible barrier preventing him from seeing around the corner. There was a 2nd door in the room but with no blood stains. He couldnt get out so blew himself up with a grenade in an effort to respawn but the camera lingered in the room on the death screen with no sign of respawn so he reset his console so it sounds like he was in a glitch void. I dont know what to make of this I suppose its just an unused interior.

@THEON3 sorry late on response. I think i Had taken the people to the camp as T already but then, as usual flicked back to M. I didnt expect it at the time at all but then it happened. Sorry forgot to say. Did all that when i hit about 85% because i freaked i wasnt gonna do it in time. Its kinda hazy because i was rushing round to get to 100%. Pretty sure now i Was 100%.

Hmm thanks man just wondered as on my 100% save I didn't do the clearing...now on my 84% save I have but is the crate that appears supposed to be there? Because it isn't on mine...I know all this has been gone over but not sure what I should expect

Apart from the firefight and storm, im not sure about the crate though. I like the fight, its manic. I couldve missed something important. Bloody save system lol

all 3 cleared camp and nothing changed. My idea was that 2 people cleared camp = ufo and 3 people cleared camp= jetpack. But no it dosent change.

 

although the 500k for sm and 500k for mp for preorder is interesting. first thing im going to do is take the 500k to the docks. Franklin needs taxi to clear camp. mike needs heli to clear camp , and trevor needs hitchers for camp clear.

I had a glitch happen after I had already completed the shootout once before. I had already delivered the people as Trevor earlier on. I was flying over the Altruist Camp with Michael and the screen went black. It went to that cutscene where it shows Trevor at the sacrifice stone. When it went to the actually fighting, it switched me back to Michael, but when I talked it was in Trevor's voice. I knew something weird was happening so I paused it and had my girlfriend take a video so I would have proof. Everything was the same except it was Michael shooting. I had never heard of this happening before. I posted it a few weeks back so I'll send the video to your message box.

 

Edit: Thanks for the response glokonglokon. I'm glad you confirmed Michael needed to be in a helicopter because that's exactly what happened to me.

if you look deeper into the files and orbis files you will also find what vehicle the camp checks for . also the game is checking if you have a partner on a hangout while you do yoga. i havent been able to do yoga with all 3 yet but there is graphics of all 3 doing yoga and using the stick commands for the poses. also dr f in the orbis files has graphics for all 3 bieng able to kill him early in the game which is strange.

Well as frank I've just took a taxi to the altruist camp and I own the company and there is nobody there so how can all 3 clear it...
