Ok here it is. I already killed a few of them before she started recording so it starts with me behind the sacrifice stone and it ends shortly after it says "Altruists Cleared". You can hear me talk a little to my girl about the video, sorry about that.

 

Wait has there always been an "Altruist cleared" promt? Or have I just not seen it for only taking one sacrifice? Because if this is the first time that prompt has been seen we're on to something big now.

Seriously? You need to take 4 sacrifices (yes the horny couple count as 2) and IIRC typically the cleared prompt is when you clear then leave the camp

Dammit I need to start finishing the game properly if that's the case. It seems to me like not getting the prompt means incomplete. It's also an indication that you can skip over things easily.

@ Darthwill - Thanks for clearing that up. Thought it was you that said that. I know youre the one that suggested having them on Chiliad then yoga on Gordo. Ive tried that but kept getting stuck in switch. You cannot have T & F hang out because you wont be able to switch to M. Thats why Ive been doing everything so they dont interact because once they do you either have to hang and cant switch, or get knocked out because you keep them too close to eachother after rejecting the hang out (its kinda funny)

I havent tried having M at Gordo while having the other 2 on Chiliad. Ive only tried having all of them there then go to Gordo. But havent been able to do that because of getting stuck in the sky.

I feel your frustration my friend. Back to the beginning so many times. The new guys mean well with what they post, that I know. But like you I post less and less because of the frustration of constantly going around in roundabouts.

You're sitting there telling people to READ. Meanwhile you didn't read the part about me NOT CLEARING the Altruist camp. I messed it up twice getting 100% did you bother reading that? clearly not. I also never brought up something that has been discussed over and over, I asked a simple question. I'm a noob now because I haven't done something in the game and asked a question about it. Think before you speak, it helps.

 

Edit: I get the anger but you don't need to go around calling people noobs. That frustration shouldn't have been directed towards me in any way.Stop with the pettiness, it's not worth sending this thread spiraling.

Sooo, Over one year on and we still haven't unlocked that ******* mural or understand what it means. BUT what a great year its been hunting out clues. Im now in the mind set that its gonna be solved in the next gen (( with DLC or something realised on the PS and X Box latter ) but fingers crossed im wrong ). Im not saying that its been a waste of time so far. Weve uncovered a lot of clues and hints and this is all gonna be helpful latter. And ive gotten far more out of this game then I ever thougth I would.

 

That said, im hanging up my deer stalker hat until November when I can do it all over again. So good luck guys and see you in two months time.

 

I will leave you all with this ( Awaken from Red Dwarf, Back to reality ). Is this how we are all goona be when its all been revealed? Bluntly obvious really...

This makes me ask a question now. Why aren't we working on what we already know? The mural to this day is still unreadable,so why aren't we focusing on the concrete stuff? Like the mural. We're always going off saying"what if this? and what if that?" A bunch of what if's don't solve anything. You know what does? Proof, something we have and ignore the majority of the time. Instead of looking at whats not there, how about what is there?The mural must be readable in some form. I bet it's easy as s*** too. If we can read the mural we know what belongs to the mystery and what doesn't. How much you wanna bet that once the mural is clear on how to read, there may be even more than just the Jetpack we're all hoping for. They probably have a hint to a new myth that we don't even see because we can't read it. We won't ever know unless we get "crackin' ". IMO this is what we're doing wrong, not using the facts we have and sort of...wandering around aimlessly. This phone number thing is exactly what I'm talking about utilizing the facts we already have,and not venturing off. Darth too with his recent theory, he utilized the mural amongst other things. I bet the monkeys over at Humane Labs can solve it and they are laughing at us right now. I keep thinking simplicity is key with this whole mystery. Anyways, this is just my opinion, make of it what you will.

If it was meant to be solved, whatever it is, in next-gen perhaps they should have take the three and a half minutes of time before releasing the title, to remove the mural and replace it with the wall texture. That's just my opinion and maybe we already solved the mural and maybe we didn't. If we didn't, we are overlooking something and not accounting for the things we know. The fact that it is in our gen consoles would seem to indicate there is something that we already found or have still yet to discover. It should be that simple in regards to viewing the mural. It's still there and hasn't been removed in an update or patch...so two choices on it. I fail to see the logic in saying it's a next-gen solution when it was seemingly created then published while there was still speculation and doubt if it would even be a next-gen product at all or on pc.

Do you think the next gen mural may not even be there? or perhaps even differ from our current?

I'm also wondering about the presence of all the glyph's, the green and red lights, jp shadow at altruists, the missing dock, 500k to the docks, etc...

And since it seems there'll not be any special or collector's edition release, will we even have an UV map at all?

i understand noob was rather poor wording. i simply mean that some of the posters here are heavily underinformed on the topic they are posting about and some are just out of the know on a few facts. its clear that my posts came across as more hostile than i intended and im sorry for that. i can just see that theres people here who mean well and are doing their best to solve this and this thread has been turbulent at times. i just want people to do their work. i think its a given you enter this thread already knowing at least some things that have been debunked or a few things about the mystery itself.

 

at this moment in time im running around ls trying to clip into every building i can on my friends ps3 to look around the map and under and through walls and such to try and find anything unusual and so far theres a whole lot of nothing. i feel like theres somethinng we need to find and interact with. anybody want me to go somewhere specific?

All this time I've been checking every damn nook and cranny manually. The hard part is the taller buildings,I just don't know how they can be checked precisely. I wanna just run across every window and wall with ease, I have a strong feeling it's a "parachute in this random window and be extremely precise" kinda deal.

@ionsife: Try getting into one of those tunnels at the base of Mt. Chiliad that have the metal bars in front of them. The one by the lumber mill and the one across from Procorpio Beach. I haven't heard of anyone being able to get in them.

ill see how that goes and get back to you on it. im back at my place now with my own console which makes this alot harder, i dont know what my friend did to his game but just a few seconds of walking in. corners let me into stuff so i dont know if ill have the same results on mine

@Auntj - I agree with you, I also believe that the Mystery clues will be the same.

But there're some stuff that, hopefully with better textures, we'll be able to confirm or debunk.

 

I'm sure that the 1st thing to check for everyone here will be the Mural. Will the lines also be fainted, the X's show as clear X's or will the jp stick figure look the same?

I'm also very curious to see the Textile City Mural, check for any extra details and confirm/debunk the phrase that's generally accepted.

 

Other things like the lighting glitches, the Altruist's jp shadow being just texture or intentional, any hint on the 500k to the docks, the Carbon Life Form that's generally accepted just as Omega's location and so on, will probably be finally confirmed/debunked.

 

I'll also be checking if the Orca will be able to destroy the sub after eating some hammerheads, if the dogs will chase cats or it will be the other way around, etc..., but that's off topic, so no more about the wildlife
